No full textThis essay focuses on the identification of models behind pottery production in some funerary contexts in the area between the Gargano and the Ofanto valley during the Bronze Age. This aims at defining theoretical approach, in order to identify the models used during the spatial and chronological range examined. It includes the analytical study of functional and stylistic aspects of ancient pottery, in an associative and intuitve perspective which takes into consideration the variations due to different factors, such as the low degree of control in the manifacture and the stylistic variability (individual, local and chronological) admitted in the reproduction of vessel types

No full textLe recenti ricerche nel sito di Villanova di Cepagatti hanno portato alla luce quattro strutture neolitiche scavate nel terreno, il cui primo impianto può forse essere ricondotto ad attività di estrazione di materiale argilloso. Il riempimento delle strutture ha restituito frammenti ceramici attribuibili all’aspetto della ceramica impressa medio-adriatica, con particolari confronti con i siti dell’Abruzzo meridionale.Recent research at the site of Masseria Obletter (Villanova di Cepagatti) has brought in light four neolithic structures, which had been dug into the ground. They were probably excavated for the extraction of clayish material. The fill of these structures contained fragments of central adriatic impressed ware pottery, with specific aspects comparable to the sites in southern Abruzzo
