A fuzzy controller design for nuclear research reactors using the particle swarm optimization algorithm
In this paper, a closed-loop fuzzy logic controller based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm is proposed for controlling the power level of nuclear research reactors. The principle of the fuzzy logic controller is based on the rules constructed from numerical experiments made by means of a computer code for the core dynamics calculation and from human operator's experience and knowledge. In addition to these intuitive and experimental design efforts, consequent parts of the fuzzy rules are optimally (or near optimally) determined using the particle swarm optimization algorithm. The contribution of the proposed algorithm to a reactor control system is investigated in details. The performance of the controller is also tested with numerical simulations in numerous operating conditions from various initial power levels to desired power levels, as well as under disturbance. It is shown that the proposed control system performs satisfactorily under almost all operating conditions, even in the case of very small initial power levels. © 2011 Elsevier B.V. A trajectory tracking genetic fuzzy logic controller for nuclear research reactors
In this study, a trajectory tracking genetic fuzzy logic controller was designed for research reactors. Membership functions and action weights of the fuzzy controller were optimally determined by genetic algorithms. The behavior of the controller was tested for various initial and desired power levels as well as under disturbance. An expert trajectory design for control of nuclear research reactors
In this study, an expert trajectory was proposed for control of nuclear research reactors. The trajectory being followed by the reactor power is composed of three parts. In order to calculate periods at the midpoint of each part of the trajectory, a period generator was designed based on artificial neural networks. The contribution of the expert trajectory to the reactor control system was investigated. Furthermore, the behavior of the controller with the expert trajectory was tested for various initial and desired power levels, as well as under disturbance. Ramazan Dikmen’s stories and an objection to modern world’s grinding
Yaşamın temel eğilimlerinden biri, insanın kendini, muhitini ve yerküreyi anlamlandırma girişimidir. Bazı zümreler ise tanıyı koymakla yetinmeyerek kendi bulgularını kamuyla veya okurla paylaşmayı tercih eder. Bu bağlamda her özgün görüş, hali hazırdaki tezlere antitez olma potansiyeli taşımaktadır. Moderniteye muhalif bir çizgide ve eleştirel yaklaşımlarla hikâye kaleme alan Ramazan Dikmen, geleneksel doktrinlerden ve kadim bilinçten yana bir yaklaşım içindedir. O, ülke ve dünya ölçeğinde yaşanmakta olan medeniyet krizini tüm çıplaklığıyla metinlerine yansıtmaya gayret ederken sahip olduğu duygu yüklü söylemle bireyin salt rasyonel akılla ve faydacı tavırla yaratılış melekelerinden yoksun kalacağını düşünmektedir. Akıl, ancak sezgi, bilinç, hassasiyet ve merhametle insan yaşamına değer katabilir. Aksi takdirde modernizm ve sermaye, çağdaş insanı alenen tehdit eden bir urdan farksızdır. Dolayısıyla tahakkuk etmekte olan zamanın kötücül ve netameli ruhuna getirilecek itiraz, kaçınılmaz olacaktır. Ramazan Dikmen’in hikâyeleri bu yönüyle birer hesaplaşma metnidir. Bu hesaplaşmalar bireyselliğe de toplumsallığa da açıktır. Dikmen, ihtiyaca göre ironik üsluba başvurabildiği gibi dolaysız anlatma ve gösterme becerilerinden de yararlanmıştır. Kahramanların hatrı sayılır bir miktarı isimsizdir. Nitekim kimlik ve duruş, isimden önce gelir. Yazar, farklı yapısal denemelerde ve teşebbüslerde bulunur. Bilindik, standart ölçülerin yanında yeni ve alternatif biçim modelleri sunar. Ramazan Dikmen’in hikâyelerinde yüklü miktarda ve çaresiz bir karamsarlık hâli olmadığı gibi romantik olgularla bezeli bir dünya tasavvuru da mevcut değildir. İnsanoğlu ve yeryüzü, farklı kanallarla mütemadiyen istila halindedir. Çekilen ve çekilmekte olan acı ve ıstıraplar ötelenir fakat unutturulmaz, bilhassa hatırlatılır. Bu doğrultuda kişiye dayanak olan insani normlar devreye girer. Yanyana ve temas halindeki iki insan birbirini çürütebildiği gibi diriltebilir de. Dostlukları inşa eden husus, mezkûr dirilişler ve çıkarsız etkileşim halleridir. Yapıcı ve ıslah edici müşterek temenniler, Ramazan Dikmen’in hikâyelerindeki olay örgüsüne yön verir. Ramazan Dikmen’e göre performans toplumu, kanaatin geri planda kalmasına zemin hazırlar. İlaveten kargaşa ve kaos ânında insanı teskin eden, özel uğraş ve ihtimamla müşahhas bir karaktere bürünen “yuva”ların apartlara evrimi kaygı verici boyutlardadır. Ancak yeryüzündeki ideal ve ilkeli tiplemelerin varlığı, eşya ve mekânın yitirilmesine set çekecektir.Bu çalışma, Ramazan Dikmen’in hikâyelerindeki insani ve kültürel yozlaşmanın farklı boyutlarına değinmeyi hedeflemektedir. Ayrıca kolektif hafızanın unutma tehlikesi yaşadığı, kuşatıcı niteliğiyle daima evrenselleşme temayülü gösteren ulvi değerler de irdelenecektir.One of lifes’s basic tendencies is, that man explains himself the meaning of his being, his neighborhood and the meaning of the globe. Somebody are not content with just making diagnosis and so they prefer to share their results with the public and the reader. In this context, every unique opinion has a potential for being an antithesis to present thesises. Ramazan Dikmen, who indites stories with a critical approach against the modernity, shows an attitude for traditional doctrine and ancient awareness up. He tries starkly to reflect in his textes the civilization’s crises, which happened on the country’s and world’s scale. With his emotional way of expression, he thinks that a person, just concentrated on rational mind and pragmatism, will be lack of the resons for his existence. Mind can just enrich a man’s life with intuition, consciousness, sensibility and mercy. Otherwise modernity and capital are alike a tumor, threating apparently the modern man. So, it will become unavoidable to object for the malicious and ominous ghost of the time, which is realizable. On that sense, Ramazan Dikmen’s stories are textes of clearance. This clearances are on individualism and collectivism. If it’s necessary, Dikmen applies on ironic tongue and benefits on explicitations and direct showing abilities. A remarkable amount of the characters are nameless. Thus, identity and attitude comes before name. The author tries different structural enterprises. Beside the known, standart measures he offers alternative styles. In Ramazan Dikmen’s stories does the substantial amount and desperate pessimistic mood not exist; as like as an imagination of the world notated with romantic facts is unavailable. Humanity and earth are always in temper of occupation. The suffering and pain are deferred but aren’t caused to forget, they are especially reminded. According to that, humane norms, which are like the ground to a person, step in. Two person, which are side-by-side and in contact, can demolish but also resurrect each other. The aspect, that builds friendships, is aforesaid resurrect and interaction without profitless. The requests, which are constructive and reformatory, are collimating for the plot in Ramazan Dikmen’s stories. In Ramazan Dikmen’s opinion, the society of performance sets ground for the satisfaction’s recede into the background. Farhter is the evolution of “homes” with a nice and concrete character, that calm any person in case of any chaos, into “aparts” is worrisome. But the existence of ideal and principled typing on the earth can barricade losts of wares and places. This work aimes to mention the different aspects of humanitarian and cultural devolution in Ramazan Dikmen’s stories. Also divine values, always tended with their encircling quality to become universal, which are under the threat for oblivion by the collective memory, are studied
Backstepping integral sliding mode control of an electromechanical system
The aim of this paper is to design a backstepping integral sliding mode controller (BISMC) for speed control of an electromechanical system under uncertainties and disturbances. An integral dynamic is included in traditional sliding surface to improve chattering and steadystate
error in tracking a reference signal when parametric uncertainties and disturbances exist. Design and stability of the closed-loop system is realized by Lyapunov criterion in a step by step procedure. Experimental results of the proposed BISMC are compared with those of the
traditional sliding mode controller (SMC). The proposed BISMC achieves reasonable tracking performance and exhibits more robust performance concerning parametric uncertainties and disturbances than the traditional SMC
A grammatical study of Bashkir language on Bashkir national writer Ramazan Umitbayev book entitled "Atlı Başkhort" (Introduction-texts-index)
Bu tez çalışması, Başkurt edebiyatında önem arz eden Ramazan Ömötbayev'in 2004 yılında basılmış olan Atlı Baş?ort adlı eseri üzerine yapılmış bir dil incelemesidir. Üzerinde çalışmış olduğumuz eser, Başkurt halkının Japon Savaşları'nda vermiş olduğu mücadeleler ve milliyetçi tutumları dolayısıyla oldukça önemlidir. Çalışma giriş, inceleme, metin, dizin ve sonuç olmak üzere beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde ilk olarak Başkurt adının ortaya çıkışı, Başkurt coğrafyası ve edebiyatı hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Daha sonra yazarımız tanıtılmıştır. İnceleme bölümünde, Şekil Bilgisi başlığı altında kısa bir metin bağlamlı Başkurtça grameri oluşturulmaya çalışılıp metinden örneklerle desteklenmiştir. Metin bölümünde, Başkurtça metin transkribe edilip Türkiye Türkçesine aktarılmıştır. Dizin bölümünde, gramatikal bir dizin oluşturulup, sonuç bölümünde ise tüm bu çalışmalar sonucunda elde ettiğimiz bilgiler maddeler hâlinde ortaya konmuştur. The work we have studied is very important because of the struggles and nationalist attitudes of the Bashkir people in the Japanese Wars. The study consists of five sections: introduction, review,text, index and conclusion. In the introduction section, firstly, information about the origin of the term "Bashkir, Bashkir geography and literatüre is provided. Subsequently, the author is introduced. In the review section, under the heading "Grammatical Information" an attempt has been made to create a brief overview of Bashkir grammar,supported by examples from the text. In the text section, a grammatical index is created. In the conclusion section, all the findings obtained from these analyses are presented in bullet points. Dynamical adaptive integral backstepping variable structure controller design for uncertain systems and experimental application
In this study, a dynamical adaptive integral backstepping variable structure control (DAIBVSC) system based on the Lyapunov stability theorem is proposed for the trajectory tracking control of a nonlinear uncertain mechatronic system with disturbances. In this control scheme, no prior knowledge is required on the uncertain parameters and disturbances because it is estimated by two types of dynamical adaptive laws. These adaptive laws are integrated into the dynamical adaptive integral backstepping control and variable structure control (VSC) parts of the DAIBVSC. The dynamical adaptive law in the dynamical adaptive integral backstepping control part updates parametric uncertainties, while the other in the VSC part adapts upper bounds of non-parametric uncertainties and disturbances. In order to achieve a more robust output tracking and better parameter adaptation, the control system is extended by one integrator and sliding surface is augmented by an integral action. Experimental evaluation of the DAIBVSC is conducted with respect to performance and robustness to parametric uncertainties. Experimental results of the DAIBVSC are compared with those of a traditional VSC. The proposed DAIBVSC exhibits satisfactory output tracking performance, good estimation of the uncertain parameters and can reject disturbances with a chattering free control law. Adaptive backstepping control design for electromechanical systems

The adaptive backstepping control scheme produces control signal in backstepping manner such that the system output tracks the desired reference. The closed-loop system stability is guaranteed by Lyapunov stability theory. IMITATIVE HARMONY IN CLASSICAL TURKISH LITERATURE PROSE: AN EXAMPLE OF CEVÂHİRÜ’L-HİKEM Fİ-TEHZİBİ AHLÂKI’L-ÜMEM
Çalışmada klâsik Türk edebiyatı nesrinde manayı lafızda resmetme olarak da tanımlayabileceğimiz taklidî âhenk meselesi ele alınmıştır. Klâsik edebiyatın -ister manzum isterse mensur olsun- temel kaynağı Kur'ân-ı Kerim'dir. Taklidî âhengin ilk ve en güzel örneklerini şiirin ve nesrin bütün meziyetlerini bünyesinde barındıran Kur'ân-ı Kerim'de görmekteyiz. Bu yüzden makalede önce Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'de taklidî âhenge dair unsurların yer aldığı bazı âyet ve sûrelerden örnekler verilmiştir. Daha sonra doktora çalışmamız olan 18. yüzyıl müellif ve mütercimlerinden Nüzhet Efendi'nin Cevâhirü'l-hikem fî-tehzîbi Ahlâkı'lümem isimli Marzubân-nâme tercümesindeki taklidî âhenge dair unsurlardan örnekler verilerilerek âhengin zor bir türü olan taklidî âhengin sadece manzum eserlere has bir özellik olmadığı manzum eserlerle birlikte mensur eserlerde de -özellikle de süslü nesirdemüelliflerin hem eserde akıcılığı sağlamak hem de kendi sanat kudretlerini göstermek amacıyla başvurdukları üslûbî bir özellik olduğu ifade edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Makalenin giriş bölümünde üslûbun tanımıyla beraber üslûba etki eden faktörler belirtilmiş ve münşeât üslûbu üzerinde durulmuştur. Birinci bölümde âhenk ve mensur eserlerde temel âhenk unsurları; seci', aliterasyon ve ritim hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. The main aim in literary works – whether it is prose or poem – is to give literature pleasure to reader. For literary pleasure in any literary work, language materials are to be gathered properly. Vocal harmony and level of literary pleasure differs according to author’s artistic competence. Main elements that ensure harmony especially imitative harmony in prose are rhyme, alliteration and rhythm. Main source of classical literature - whether it is prose or poem – is Quran. Style of Quran which is the words of Allah is specific. It is impossible to find its similar neither in Arabic culture nor in any culture. . We see first and finest examples of imitative harmony in Quran which embodies qualities of poem and prose. One of style characteristics of Quran is to strengthen meaning with phonetic harmony. Quran that revitalizes believers for afterlife and has been sent within 2 years long period is a peerless book in terms of sequence of letter and word beside content. Quran sometimes displays Garden of Eden full of blessings and sometimes portrays hell and gossip and slander that is like cancer for social life with the help of imitative harmony. Imitative harmony in Quran is get by rhyme, alliteration and rhythm and sometimes by rhythm among verses. Quran with this peerless style has been effective on scientific and literary works in Islamic world. Quran with its own style addressed remarks not only to literate Arabs but to every person from different levels. Any person whether he or she is Muslim or not, scholar or illiterate can benefit from it according to their comprehension level. The term of imitative harmony has been used as a term peculiar generally to poetic works. It is possible to see the difficult style of imitative harmony in prose works also. One of the best examples of imitative harmony in prose Koca Ragıp Pasha who was a statesman and lived in 18th century and studied science in his period and the other one is Cevâhirü’l-hikem fî-tehzîbi Ahlâkı’l-ümem of Nüzhet Efendi. Nüzhet Efendi is a personage who was one ulemas in 18th century. Nüzhet Efendi is a musician as well as he is poet, prose writer and translator. It is possible to find in his work Cevâhirü’l-hikem fî-tehzîbi Ahlâkı’l-ümem (Persian Marzuban-name) traces of his professions mentioned above. However one of the most important specialities of Nusret Efendi is to apply his music ability to prose.
