No full textNel 1983 si costituisce a Roma, Università "La Sapienza", sotto la guida dal prof. Tito Orlandi, il Gruppo di Ricerca Informatica e Discipline Umanistiche. Nel 1986 viene annunciato il progetto di realizzare una Bibliografia che rendesse conto dello stato dell'arte di un'area fortemente interdisciplinare e innovativa quale l'Informatica Umanistica, ora meglio conosciuta come Digital Humanities. Al gruppo, coordinato da Giovanni Adamo, partecipano (in ordine cronologico di adesione al progetto): G. Gigliozzi, R. Mordenti, G. Azzena, M. Tascio, A. Camplani, I. Di Stefano Manzella, A. M. Valente, R. Duranti, N. Tangari, A. M. Paci, P. Castellucci. Vengono, a diverso titolo, coinvolti anche P. Moscati, F. M. Bischoff, M. Menna, G. Negrini. Surface aspects of the rabbit gallbladder mucosa and their functional implications
No full textThe morphology of the internal surface of the distended (filled) gallbladder and the sequence of its alterations during emptying were studied by scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy in the rabbit. Emptying was obtained by injecting a single dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously of caerulein varying from 0.01 μg/kg to 1 μg/kg. With scanning electron microscopy the mucosa in the distended state displays folds of differing heights, which frequently anastomose with each other, forming a network of bays varying in size. Many of the folds leave the network disappearing as a crescent-like ridge into the bays. Light microscopy shows a network of vessels particularly thick in the folds. During emptying, the mucosa shows both a progressive reduction in the size of the bays and a gradual elevation of the folds which become very twisted and are in close apposition to each other, producing a regularly waved surface. The vessels in the crescent-shaped folds connect the superficial with the deeper vasculature and act as fixed points determining the recurrence of a regular pattern of the mucosa each time the organ becomes empty. Therefore, emptying of the rabbit gallbladder results in a regular and repeatable modification of the mucosal pattern observed in the control animals

What do we know about the size of the underground economy in Italy beyond the "common wisdom"? Some empirically tested propositions
No full textIt is commonly thought that the underground economy is larger in Italy than in most other developed countries and that it is growing. Using several methods of measuring it we found no sound support for such view but rather that it fluctuates around a stable mean. We found confirmation of the widespread view of a larger underground economy in the southern regions of the country than in the center-north. We moreover found that the differences between the south and the center-north are not limited to its size but extend to its nature and motivations, thus reaffirming the dualism of the countr
