Sotto il segno della contaminazione. Dipinti e disegni di Pier Paolo Pasolini
The article proposes the analysis of technical and formal peculiarities of some of the drawings and paintings made by Pier Paolo
Pasolini in different moments of his lifetime. The drawings and paintings that are subjectmatter of the study were selected from a larger
production because they were considered particularly indicative of specific codes of figuration elaborated by the author. It follows a historical-artistic and critical analysis, identifying the ancestry and nature of these codes, developed around a few fundamental themes: the suggestions from Caravaggio originated in the teachings of Roberto Longhi; the reflections on the Italian and European painting of nineteenth
and twentieth centuries, the artistic language thoughtfully based on the contamination and the precise meaning of pasolinian mannerism.
Returns, thus, also with the comparison of poetic and prose pieces, the meaning of figurative works in the creative universe of one of
the most cultured and subtle intellectuals of the twentieth century
