Full text linkUna delle questioni centrali nate dall’incontro tra migration studiese cultural studies è quella legata alla rappresentazione dei soggetti di esperienze traumatiche come quelle delle migrazioni non sicure, delle diaspore, delle guerre, dei disastri climatici. Particolare attenzione è rivolta in questo contesto all’agencydi questa rappresentazione, ovvero a chi è il soggetto della storia: chi racconta queste storie, a chi, per conto di chi? Non si tratta di certo di una domanda nuova, ma di una questione che ogni approccio critico alla cultura ha sempre sollevato, dalla critica letteraria aglistudi sui media, dalla filosofia politica alla cultura visuale.Partendo dall’incontro tra letteratura e cultura visuale, questo saggio affronta la rappresentazione dell’identità culturale del popolo palestinese attraverso un genere specifico, a metà tra letteratura e fotografia: il fototesto. Nello specifico sarà analizzato After the Last Sky. Palestinian Livesdi E. W. Said e J. Mohr (1986), un esempio ancora significativo per il discorso critico sull’identità palestinese. Attraverso la rappresentazione fototestuale, Said e Mohr dimostrano in che modo le espropriazioni, i reinsediamenti e l’esilio hanno influito sulla vita quotidiana e culturale di questo popolo. Soprattutto, questo lavoro si concentrerà sulla necessità per i palestinesi di diventare soggetti della propria storia e di farla ascoltare

MIGRATIONS: SOCIO-CULTURAL CONTEXTS AND CONSTITUTION
No full textRather than being a historicist approach interested in the origins and development of certain social and cultural expressions, cultural studies, in their most recent manifestations, have engaged with the analysis of specific socio-cultural contexts and their constitution, as well as with a critical sensitivity to what is conjunctural and contextual – especially regarding tensions, contradictions and crises. Within this new framework, migration studies – with their interest in forms of regulation and management, control and resistance practices – have become an essential platform to update the conceptual categories but also to highlight the “contested terrain” of contemporary cultural studies.
The goal of this volume is precisely to explore the interconnection between these two fields of study, proposing new ideas, themes and approaches that speak to the varied field of migration studies, starting from the approach of cultural studies and postcolonial studies, which can open up visibilities and trajectories invisible in other discourses and narratives.
The articles address the issue of migration starting from critical race theory, feminism, and transnationalism (which underline, for instance, the role played by race and sex in the formation of the processes of subjectivation within migratory processes; migration practices and (contested) migration politics, representation and spectacularization of migrations; mapping and counter mapping, media and communication)

No full textGli studi sullo sguardo femminile hanno ormai una lunga anche se forse non consolidata tradizione interdisciplinare che risale almeno agli anni ’70 del Novecento. Se è stato di sicuro l’ambito dei Film Studies, e soprattutto quello dei Feminist Film Studies, ad aver dato un imprescindibile impulso a questi studi (è scontato riferirsi all’ormai classico Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema di Laura Mulvey così come agli studi di Mary Ann Doane) alla fine del Novecento e all’inizio del ventunesimo secolo la messa in questione di una “differenza” di genere all’interno delle pratiche, delle tecnologie, delle specificità dello sguardo si è allargata ad ambiti diversi. In questo saggio ci concentreremo su alcuni di questi ambiti come quelli degli studi sociali sulla scienza e degli studi post-coloniali. No full textThis article explores the role of narrative practices in higher education as tools for preventing gender-based violence and fostering critical awareness. Drawing from the author’s experience within the NARR_LAB project, the study integrates narrative medicine, clinical psychology, feminist pedagogy, and gender studies. Autobiographical writing emerges as a method of self-reflection, resistance, and empowerment. By centering the narrating body, the article envisions the university as a space of care and transformation, where storytelling becomes a practice of justice and relational accountability
