George C. Watkins ledger books, 1835-1862
This collection contains the ledger books of George C. Watkins, a Little Rock attorney and Arkansas Supreme Court judge during the mid-nineteenth century. Watkins did legal work for and with most of the prominent Arkansans. One ledger concerns Watkins' finances, while another is devoted to his court cases. The latter is accompanied by an index. The financial ledger include both Watkins personal expenses and charges to clients. The court ledger contains Watkins' record of client suits and settlements.George C. Watkins ledger books, 1835-186
