Le tragedie perdute di Eschilo: testo e immagini. Il caso del Prometeo liberato

    No full text
The paper examines the example of Prometheus Unbound, discussing some central points in the interpretation of its fragments and of related testimonia to the myth, In particular, the section signed by C. Roscino (pp. 335-346) deals with the iconographic and iconological analysis of the scene with Prometheus' liberation on the calyx-krater attributed to the Branca Painter (350-340 B.C.) in Berlin, Antikensammlung, 1969.9, which highlights in an exemplary way the limits and the potentiality of the crossed use of text and images for the reconstruction of fragmentary dramatic works such as the lost tragedies of Aeschylus.

The dynamic historical Atlas of the administrative districts of the Campania Region is an innovative model to reconstruct the italian regional history, with particular reference to the territorial variations and denomination changes of communes and provinces from the Unification (1861). Legislative, bibliographic, archival and cartographic sources, have been used to build a Gis based on vector layers for the comparisons between the territorial partitions in different ages and finalized to the development of data base about historical dynamics that have interested the Campania in 19 and 20th. In this G.i.s. moreover iperlinks run to visualize historical cartography and the more meaningful iconographic documents

Prolongation of TCD-enhanced Doppler signal by continuous infusion of Levovist

This study evaluated the effects of two different rates of infusion of echo-contrast agents (ECA) on signal enhancement. A total of 15 patients with insufficient Doppler signal due to inadequate transtemporal acoustic bone window were examined. Signal from the middle cerebral artery was recorded during the IV infusion of Levovist(R) (300 mg/mL). Increment of signal enhancement in dB, time to signal enhancement appearance, time to clinically useful signal enhancement appearance, and duration of clinically useful signal enhancement were assessed during two infusions at the rate of 1 and 0.66 mL/min, respectively. Increment of signal enhancement was similar at the rate of I and 0.66 mL/min (p = 0.4). Mean time to signal enhancement appearance and mean time to clinically useful signal enhancement appearance were not significantly different with the two rates of infusion (p = 0.9 and p = 0.3, respectively). Mean duration of clinically useful signal enhancement was significantly higher with the infusion rate of 0.66 mL/min as compared to 1 mL/min (p < 0.0001). Levovist(R) injected at the infusion rate of 0.66 mL/min prolonged the mean duration of signal enhancement, maintaining its effectiveness.
