He asks Arvine Wales to take a downtrodden student in need of care, a girl of fourteen, an illegitimate child whose mother drifted out into the unknown, Heston describes her as industrious, her name is Lenora Harris. Jacob Heaton writes to Arvine C. Wales, presenting the cases of children of alcoholic and indigent parents who would benefit from the admission to the Charity School of Kendal. The three boys and one girl ages 10 to 14 were fatherless.
