Giusta causa di licenziamento tra legge, contrattazione collettiva e sindacato del giudice = Justified dismissal between law, collective bargaining and Judge check

    No full text
The article debates about disciplinary justified dismissals, concept reconstructed by the Author analysing the different interpretations given about this rule by collective bargaining and jurisprudence. These interpretations show link more or less wides depending on the legal development about the dismissal. The Author’s focus is, expecially, about the connections between collective bargaining and jurisprudence after the latest reforms, as the Fornero Reform and the Job Act

Asbestos health hazard: A spectroscopic study of synthetic geoinspired Fe-doped chrysotile

    No full text
The chrysotile fibres toxicity appears correlated to the redox activity of iron present in the chrysotile structure. In fact the generation of reactive oxygen species and other radicals appears catalyzed by iron ions and closely related to Fe ions organization in specific crystallographic sites having a capability to activate free radical generation. The Fe substitution to Mg and/or Si in the chrysotile structure appears important for asbestos health hazard investigation. Infrared and Raman spectroscopic analyses have been utilized to investigateMg and/or Si ions replacement by Fe ions in chrysotile structure as a function of the Fe doping extent. Geoinspired synthetic chrysotile at different Fe doping extents has been obtained as unique phase by hydrothermal reaction in the presence or not ofmetallic Fe in the synthetic environment. The results highlight that Fe can replace both Mg and Si, differently modifying the chrysotile structure as a function of the Fe doping extent and the Fe doping process. The contemporary iron substitution into the octahedral and tetrahedral sheets reveals an appreciable increase of the dehydroxylation temperature which occurs at higher temperature than for iron-free sample. The results highlight the role of Fe substitution in the asbestos structure influencing the health hazard of biological systems

Micro-Raman spectroscopy applied on oriented crystals of fluoro-edenite amphibole

Fluoro-edenite crystals from Biancavilla, a mineral characterized by various cations in different crystallographic sites, have been studied with Electron Microprobe Analysis (EMPA) and micro-Raman spectroscopy. The spectroscope used in this study was fitted with an optical microscope equipped with two polarizers and a rotating plate with a vernier, allowing precise orientation of the sample. The Raman spectra were acquired after precisely aligning the crystals with respect to the incident laser beam. The spectra recorded are discussed in relation to the chemical data from EMPA analyses. This investigation suggests that a similar methodological approach can be used to discriminate other fibrous amphiboles which can be difficult to identify by conventional techniques
