No full textIl libro si compone di tre parti: due saggi, rispettivamente di Zinato e di Ferretti, e l'edizione critica di tre testi inediti di Paolo Volponi: alcuni appunti del 1972, pagine di diario del 1980 e un carteggio con Franco Fortini del 1983. Questi inediti documentano le fasi cruciali delle crisi e delle scelte professionali di Volponi, tra l'uscita dall'Olivetti di Ivrea, l'esperienza alla Fiat, la militanza politica. Di questi testi Ferretti e Zinato (che sono rispettivamente l'autore della prima monografia su Volponi e il curatore dei "Romanzi e prose" per Einaudi, nel 2002 ) offrono letture diverse e al tempo stesso complementari. Il saggio di Zinato ricostruisce soprattutto nei testi autobiografici e epistolari iil processo di gestazione romanzesca del personaggio di Saraccini, protagonista de "Le mosche del capitale". Se, come è noto, l'unità del soggetto che narra è stata messa in discussione sia dalla psicoanalisi che dalla linguistica, questi tre testi volponiani si possono considerare come "autofinzionali", perché il loro alto tasso di figuralità e l'uso della terza persona lasciano già intravvedere un processo proiettivo di extralocalità

depending on the element geometry, the acting tangential and normal stresses, the boundary conditions,
and the masonry mechanical parameters [Magenes and Calvi, 1997; Calderini et al., 2009; Ferretti et al.,
2019a]. With the objective of studying the shear behavior of masonry, several experimental setups were
proposed, in past researches, for the execution of in-plane shear tests on masonry panels [van Vliet, 2004].
The variability of these setups, mainly related to the boundary conditions, the presence of a vertical load,
and the way of application of the horizontal load to the samples, highlights the need to correctly design such
systems to reproduce the desired shear failure [Ferretti et al., 2019b]

No full textIl volume restituisce e porta a sintesi, attualizzandole nel quadro del dibattito scientifico e disciplinare, alcune delle riflessioni presentate dagli autori nell’ambito di una giornata di studio organizzata presso la Facoltà di Architettura della Sapienza, Università di Roma nel 2015, dal titolo Progetto urbano e crisi economica: quali prospettive (Responsabili scientifici Proff. Laura Valeria Ferretti e Carmen Mariano).
I contributi presenti nel volume danno conto della ricchezza delle questioni che il tema del progetto urbano continua a sollecitare dal punto di vista teorico e professionale; ricchezza che si riflette nella pluralità degli approcci con cui viene affrontato il tema dell’innovazione e della sperimentazione anche in relazione alla crisi economica. Gli scritti qui raccolti offrono riflessioni sia di carattere teorico, ripercorrendone storia e letteratura, che sperimentale, attraverso il racconto critico dei risultati di alcune esperienze importanti italiane e internazionali (Périgueux, Bordeaux, Montpellier, Lisbona, Milano, Roma); esperienze utili per individuare riferimenti teorico-metodologici e operativi e nuovi approcci alla procedura del Progetto urbano

Il Progetto Urbano in tempo di crisi
No full textNella maggior parte delle grandi città europee gli interventi di trasformazione urbana e di “creazione” di nuovi spazi urbani, avviati negli ultimi trenta anni, si sono avvalsi della procedura del Progetto urbano mettendo in campo grandi interventi che hanno colonizzato nuovi territori o trasformato radicalmente territori già urbanizzati, coinvolgendo nel processo una molteplicità di soggetti e finanziamenti pubblici e privati.
Il Progetto urbano tuttavia continua ad essere un termine ambiguo ; assume infatti diversi significati se utilizzato dagli architetti o dagli urbanisti: nel primo caso si fa riferimento a progetti di architettura che operano alla scala urbana, nel secondo caso si fa riferimento a un iter procedurale legato alla progettazione urbanistica .
Vi è però un’accezione che mette insieme queste diverse visioni. Allude a una tipologia di progetto che include specifiche variabili, tra queste il tempo e la modalità di finanziamento, e che produce spazio urbano e architettonico: Il volume restituisce e porta a sintesi, attualizzandole nel quadro del dibattito scientifico e disciplinare, alcune delle riflessioni presentate dagli autori nell’ambito di una giornata di studio organizzata presso la Facoltà di Architettura della Sapienza, Università di Roma nel 2015, dal titolo Progetto urbano e crisi economica: quali prospettive (Responsabili scientifici Proff. Cavallo, Martin Hüsser and Martin Gamache cols.; paratype female (MLP 19153), same data as holotype. Examined. Additional material examined Female (MACN – Ar 38174) from Argentina, Salta, Rosario de Lerma, Campo Quijano (- 24.9075 S, - 65.6442 W), 29 September 1967, A. Fornes col.; female (MACN – Ar 38207) from Argentina, Salta, Salta, San Lorenzo Hill (- 24.7269 S, - 65.5044 W), 16 July 1924, A. Frers col. Notes In the original description of the species (Cavallo and Ferretti 2015), the ventral crest of the prolateral inferior keel was described as a subapical keel due to its triangular shape and position. However, a more detailed examination of the male holotype and the comparison with the other species of Hapalotremus led us to identify a continuous PI very well-developed along the embolus having a ventral expansion or crest, as found in all known species. Amended diagnosis Hapalotremus martinorum is characterized by a distinct green pubescence between the patella and tarsi of legs and on the lateral faces of the abdomen in combination with red setae on the urticating patch (Figure 1c, d). Males of H. martinorum can be distinguished from those of H. albipes and H. major by a large number of labial cuspules (more than 20), tibia I about 10% longer than metatarsus I (Figure 13g), by having a slightly developed retrolateral rounded process on palpal tibia (Figure 13h, i), unequal sizes of tibial apophysis branches (PB smaller than RB) (Figure 13f, g) and slower curvature of metatarsus I (Figure 13g). Palpal bulb resembles that of H. major, but it differs by the more developed digitiform apophysis (Figure 14a–d) and prolateral keels (Figure 14a–d). Females of H. martinorum can be distinguished from those of H. albipes and H. major by the larger number of cuspules on labium (more than 25 cuspules) (Figures 15b, 16a). Additionally, males of H. martinorum differ from all Hapalotremus species by the presence of an accessory keel (AK) on palpal embolus located among PI and A (Figure 14a, e). Also, females of H. martinorum can be characterized by the shape of the spermathecae, with basal portion wider than apical, apical lateral projections slightly developed and protrude from the apical median region (Figure 16e). Distribution and habitat Known from Salta Province, northwestern Argentina (Figure 36). Specimens were found in high-cloud forests of the Yungas region (Figure 3a). Geographies of Federalism during the Italian Risorgimento, 1796-1900
No full text"Ferretti pushes the debate about the radical-democratic strands in Italian Unification (the Risorgimento) beyond the usual oppositions -republicanism v. socialism, centralism v. federalism - to consider how much the contentions of the time extended to consideration of authoritarianism, militarism, and colonialism rather than just administrative arrangements per se. In taking a fundamentally geographical approach to the debate, Ferretti not only provides a new perspective on the radical impulses in the Risorgimento but also contributes to the contemporary rethinking of nation-statehood, territorial sovereignty, and the possibilities of transnational federalism. Perhaps most importantly, this book shows that the form which Italian unification took was never a foregone conclusion. There is a broader lesson here."

Combining intellectual history, geography and political science, this book addresses the relations between geography and the federalist tendencies of key individuals during the nineteenth-century Italian Risorgimento. The book investigates the development of transnational federalist attitudes amongst a political network of intellectuals, and hones in on several understudied figures who played important roles in the Italian radical movements for national and social liberation. Notably, this includes political geographers who mobilised geographical metaphors to foster change and reorganise territories. The author demonstrates how federalism, anarchism and republicanism were all connected and led not only to autonomy in Italy, but more locally within its regions and municipalities, and more broadly across Europe over the ‘Long Risorgimento’ period. Contributing to current debates on federalism and anti-colonialism, this book will appeal to historical geographers, political scientists and those researching the history of federalism, republicanism and anarchism in Europe
