Assessment of globalization effect on economic growth.
The master's thesis is formulated in the problem of the assessment of globalization effect on economic growth in different income countries. There are analysed and systematized various Lithuanian and foreign authors’ literature on economic growth, theories of economic growth and globalization. The impact of globalization on economic growth on a theoretical basis is disclosed in this thesis. Also the methodology for assessing the impact of globalization on economic growth rates is justified. The panel data analysis method was used for the study. The average five years’ growth rate of GDP per capita was used as a dependent variable, independent variables also were used in model. Fixed effects method was used for the calculations. Also dummy variable was included in order to take into account that each country is unique and differences between countries exists. Assessment of globalization effect on economic growth was based on development level of countries. There are proved hypothesis formulated by the author, that the impact of globalization on economic growth varies according to the level of development of the country; that depending on the level of development of the country different dimensions of globalization effects the economy growth. Also one hypothesis was denied that non-liner relation between globalization its dimensions and the rate of economic growth exists

Economic efficiency evaluation of buildings refurbishment using AB “Pakruojo arka” example.
Theoretical part of Bachelors final paper deals with the renovation design decisions, discusses their advantages and disadvantages. Analyze the benefits of the refurbishment to the public, and the factors affecting its efficiency. Introduce with refurbishment cost-effectiveness assessment methodology. Determine the most effective choice of insulation level according to the project's economic parameters. The empirical part analyzes building refurbishment projects. Assess their economic performance under the thermal insulation payback period, investment profitability and other indicators of refurbishment efficiency. Compare minimal, customer choice and the most effective insulation levels by economic efficiency rates. It was found that refurbishment is beneficial even, then the building is renovated by the maximum permissible limits of heat transfer coefficient, but in order to achieve the maximum economic benefit level, the insulation should be increased to the optimum. The analyzed projects’ optimal rate of warming is reached, when the thermal resistance of refurbished building is approximately 7m2∙K/W
The Heterogeneous Impact of Financialisation on Long-run Economic Growth.
Financialisation, i.e., the process by which financial markets and their partіϲіpants gain more influence over the functioning of enterprises/companies and the framework of the financial system, changes the functioning of the economic system, both at the macro- and microeconomic level. There is no doubt that financialisation impacts economic growth. Still, rеѕеarch does not substantiate the heterogeneity of financialisation effects and does not provide a comprehensive analysis of the sources of heterogeneity. In most cases, rеѕеarchers provide only theoretical insights into what may lead to different effects of financialisation on economic growth. Thus, the aim of the research – to study the phenomenon of financialisation and the sources of its heterogeneous impact on economic growth, to develop a model for assessing the heterogeneous impact of financialisation on long-run economic growth, and to empirically test it in relation to various countries of the world. This study empirically examines whether institutional quality and economic development intermediate the relationship between financialisation and economic growth using a panel of 96 countries over the period of 1996-2017 and least squares dummy variables (LSDV) estimator. It was found that the impact of financialisation on economic growth differs across countries and that institutional quality and economic development are the sources of the heterogeneous impact of financialisation on economic growth
Effects of Direct Foreign Investments on Labour Productivity in Lithuania in Accordance with Economic Activities.
The Bachelor Final Project investigates the effects of direct foreign investments on labour productivity in accordance with economic activities in a period of 2005-2012. The first part of the paper describes the essence of direct investments, concepts, forms and the significance to Lithuanian economics as well as compares empirical research carried out by other scientists with this subject. The second part contains a performed analysis of the dynamics of direct foreign investments and labour productivity, which shows in detail how the studied indicators alternate the sectors. A correlation regression analysis method establishes the relation of direct foreign investments and direct effects on labour productivity, and determines the effect when the channels of total investments in equipment, machines, transport vehicles and stock, and of salaries operate. When carrying the study out, it was used: the indicators of direct foreign investments, labour productivity (expressed as a value-added per employee), total investments in equipment, machines, transport vehicles and stock, and salaries. The study was carried out basing on intergroup data of a period of 2005-2012

Assessment of Truck Use Efficiency at UAB “Kalvis” and Opportunities to Hire a Transportation Company.
Theoretical part of the present Bachelor Thesis deals with methods used for analysis of fixed tangible assets and efficient use thereof. Analysis of composition of vehicle fleet of the company and change thereof has been made on the basis of the applied methods of analysis and the accounting information accumulated by UAB “Kalvis”. The paper deals with weight dynamics of transportation costs in sale net cost. Net cost of one kilometre driven by each truck is also calculated, furthermore, transportation costs incurred within the sale of boilers and other products as well as the level thereof in net sales of the manufactured products are analysed on the basis of the obtained results. Upon analysis of truck use, a more efficient option by renting the vehicles to the third persons had been proposed. Moreover, the determined truck maintenance costs have been compared with alternative rent costs of identical vehicles. Taking into account the longest and the shortest routes mostly taken by trucks of UAB “Kalvis” when transporting boilers and other products with the purpose of sale thereof, a feasibility study regarding hiring a transportation company is conducted
Analysis of Lithuanian State Budget Deficit Financing by Issuing Government Securities.
The final bachelor‘s paper deals with the budget deficit financing of the Republic of Lithuania by issuing the government securities. First, there is presented an overview of shadow economy amount situation in randomly selected world countries and European Union. Then, there is an estimated regression equation presented, which shows, how every factor influences the change of black economy amount, and which allows us to forecast shadow economy amount in the future
Assessment of the Impact of Financialisation on Efficiency.
Various factors of financialisation have been investigated; however, there is lack of research studies revealing the impact of financialisation on efficiency; therefore, the research problem can be defined by the following questions: what are the theoretical assumptions of the impact of financialisation made on efficiency; what are the phenomena that link financialisation to productivity; what are the differences in terms of financialisation, efficiency and indicators reflecting the factors determining it in various countries; what is the impact made by financialisation on efficiency of countries. The research aim is to design and empirically test the model of assessment of the impact of financialisation on efficiency after having defined the concept, ways of measuring, causes and consequences of financialisation, having identified the theoretical aspect of its impact on efficiency. The first part of the thesis deals with first two objectives. It operationalises the concept of financialisation and reveals the systematised version of it. Moreover, the major aspects of financialisation which make impact on economic growth are identified and negative factors that determined economic crisis are found out. The second part implements the third objective of the research. The research model is designed, the research methods are introduced, indicators reflecting efficiency of countries, level of financialisation and other factors of the model are selected, the choice of the explored period and group of countries is substantiated, limitations of the research are pointed out. The third part is dedicated to implementation of the fourth objective of the thesis. It performs the analysis of efficiency, financialisation, annual foreign direct investment, size of industry sector and dynamics of the level of hi-tech industry export and distribution of index values over the surveyed period across the countries constituting the research sample. By employing a multiple regression model, the impact of financialisation and other factors of the model on efficiency is assessed using panel data of 2003–2017
