Tainarys venata Burckhardt & Basset (Figs 17, 31, 45, 59, 73, 97, 110, 123, 147, 157, 165, 177, 181) Tainarys venata Burckhardt & Basset, 2000: 136. Material examined. Argentina (Mendoza), Chile (IV Region) (MHNG, NHMB). Descriptions of adult and immature by Burckhardt & Basset (2000). Distribution. Argentina (Mendoza), Chile (IV Region) (Burckhardt & Basset 2000). Host plants. Schinus johnstonii F.A. Barkley, S. polygama (Cav.) Cabrera (Anacardiaceae). No deformations were observed on the leaves, but the material at hand is insufficient for definite conclusions. The re-examination of the plant voucher specimens showed that the record of Schinus fasciculata (Grieseb.) Johnston by Burckhardt & Basset (2000) concerns S. johnstonii (C. L. da Silva, in litt.).Published as part of Burckhardt, Daniel & Queiroz, Dalva L., 2017, The jumping plant-lice of the Neotropical genus Tainarys (Hemiptera: Psylloidea) associated with Anacardiaceae, pp. 535-567 in Zootaxa 4232 (4) on page 563, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4232.4.5, http://zenodo.org/record/31311
