Antimicrobial activity and metabolite profiling of a methanolic extract from Stereum rugosum
Although Indonesia is recognized as a global biodiversity hotspot, studies on macrofungi and their bioactive metabolites remain limited. This study evaluated the antimicrobial potential of macrofungi collected from Mount Halimun Salak National Park (MHSNP), Indonesia, focusing on species with strong antibacterial activity and their chemical profiles. Of the five species examined, Stereum rugosum exhibited the most potent effect. Its methanolic extract selectively inhibited Gram-positive bacteria, particularly Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus mutans, with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 6.67 mg mL-1 and 13.33 mg mL-1, and minimum bactericidal concentrations (MBC) of 13.33 mg mL-1 and 26.67 mg mL-1, respectively. No activity was observed against Gram-negative bacteria or Candida albicans. Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis identified 22 compounds, primarily 2,5-cyclohexadiene-1,4-dione derivatives (24.22%), quinoline (17.07%), and methyl oleate (5.22%), which have all been associated with antimicrobial properties. This study is the first to report on the antimicrobial potential and chemical composition of S. rugosum from MHSNP. The selective inhibition of Gram-positive pathogens, especially S. aureus, establishes S. rugosum as a promising source of bioactive metabolites with potential pharmaceutical applications

Healing the Fundamental Unit of Heredity (Gene Therapy): Current Perspective and What the Future Holds
The ability to make precise adjustments to the human genome has been a goal of healing in which gene also introduces as the fundamental unit of heredity, in biomolecular technology in genetic diseases have opened new knowledge such as gene therapy. Gene therapy is a technique to repair DNA where its usage is to treat the malignancy and inherited genetic diseases. Gene therapy is a choice to the genetic cloth that goals to remedy a sickness this is hard to deal with or perhaps has no treatment. Currently, gene remedy is done in approaches to patients, specifically embryonic cells and somatic cells, every in vivo and ex vivo. Moral considerations with modification of the difficulty's cells and oversight of regulation and reagents want to be taken into consideration within the gene therapy project. Applications for using gene remedies have begun to be widely used, which include in case of maximum cancers, coronary heart disorder, infectious sicknesses, and others. Gene therapy has spread to a wide range of applications then go beyond the modification of genetic disorders. Advances in genetic modification of cancer cells and immunity and the use of viruses and bacteria to control cancer cells have resulted in many clinical trials and product developments for cancer treatment. The miracles and blessings of gene therapy are might believe, but even though they are being studied and developed now and, in the future, so that the desire for gene therapy may be even better future.

Perbandingan Gambaran Tuba Pada Pemeriksaan Hysterosalpingography (HSG) Dengan Klinis Infertilitas Primer di Rumah Sakit Siloam Sriwijaya Palembang: Studi Kasus
Background: In dealing with infertility problems, a deep understanding of the specific causes becomes very important for proper treatment. One of the diagnostic methods often used to assess infertility conditions is hysterosalpingography (HSG). The superiority of HSG lies in its ability to provide clear visual information about the structural condition of the uterus and fallopian tubes, which are key factors in fertilization. Methods: This qualitative descriptive research uses a case study approach conducted at Sriwijaya Siloam Hospital in Palembang to compare the results of HSG examination in primary infertility clinics. Results: In this study, the results of HSG examinations in two patients with clinical primary infertility showed that there was a difference in the picture. The results of the HSG examination in first patient showed both non-patent tubes, where distal occlusion of the right fallopian tube and left peritubal adhesion were found, while in second patient it showed both patent tubes with a positive spill sign. Conclusions: Differences in the results of HSG examinations in primary infertility clinics show the conclusion that even though HSG shows a patent fallopian tube, the couple may still experience primary infertility. This shows that the cause of infertility can come from other factors and requires further evaluation
