    Correspondence regarding the timber sale known as Case No. 1, the first formal timber sale in the nation administered by the federal government. This letter was written to the Secretary of the Interior, C. N. Bliss, by Britton & Gray, attorneys representing T. J. Grier and nine companies who wished to purchase the rights to cut timber on the Black Hills Forest Reserve (later called the Black Hills National Forest). Among those companies was the Homestake Mining Company. The letter is to file an application for the purchase of timber. The reverse has a note signed by C. N. Bliss, dated April 14, 1898, referring it to the Commissioner of the General Land Office. Original held at the National Archives

    Fra i recenti interventi del legislatore italiano in materia di immigrazione si annoverano il d.lgs. n. 253/2016 e la l. n. 232/2016. Il primo intervento è in attuazione della direttiva 2014/66/UE e ha introdotto nel novero dei lavoratori extracomunitari che possono accedere al territorio italiano «fuori quota», nell’ambito dei trasferimenti intra-societari, i dirigenti, il personale specializzato e i tirocinanti. Il secondo intervento ha previsto un particolare regime per l’ingresso e il soggiorno di investitori. Il presente contributo intende evidenziare le luci e le ombre di tali disposizioni, sia attraverso l’esegesi normativa in confronto con la disciplina comunitaria, sia in rapporto a quanto già previsto dal TU sull’immigrazione
