He explains the history of OSHA, because before OSHA was established many workers did not have safety rules written into their contracts. WISHA is the federal counterpart of the OSHA law. He discusses federal and state government policies in relation to OSHA, the current job market, and growing career paths in the near future. A segment featuring Journeyman Don Arlo from Olympia, Washington speaks about his experience getting injured on the job. Brisbois and Keiser discuss living wages. Brisbois discusses how the job market has changed, such as both parents needing to work to keep a household. Keiser and Brisbois discuss occupations that are growing and how people now need more education to succeed. Keiser takes a call from a viewer who works in public access television and if communications is has growth, which Brisbois believes will be growing as other technological jobs.
