Contact points and fractional singularities for semigroups of holomorphic self-maps of the unit disc

    No full text
We study boundary singularities which can appear for infinitesimal generators of one-parameter semigroups of holomorphic self-maps of the unit disc. We introduce "regular" fractional singularities and characterize them in terms of the behavior of the associated semigroups and KA"nigs functions. We also provide necessary and sufficient geometric criteria on the shape of the image of the KA"nigs function for having such singularities. In order to do this, we study contact points of semigroups and prove that any contact (not fixed) point of a one-parameter semigroup corresponds to a maximal arc on the boundary to which the associated infinitesimal generator extends holomorphically as a vector field tangent to this arc

Il Popular Financial Reporting ed il controllo sociale: riflessi sui sistemi di controllo

    No full text

Shearing maps and a Runge map of the unit ball which does not embed into a Loewner chain with range C^n

In this paper we study the class of "shearing" holomorphic maps of the unit ball of the form (z ,w) bar right arrow (z + g(w), w). Besides general properties, we use such maps to construct an example of a normalized univalent map of the ball onto a Runge domain in C-n which however cannot be embedded into a Loewner chain whose range is C-n

Parametric Representations and Boundary Fixed Points of Univalent Self-Maps of the Unit Disk

A classical result in the theory of Loewner’s parametric representation states that the semigroup U∗ of all conformal self-maps φ of the unit disk D normalized by φ(0) = 0 and φ′(0) > 0 can be obtained as the reachable set of the Loewner–Kufarev control system (Formula Presented.) where the control functions t↦ Gt∈ Hol(D, C) form a certain convex cone. Here we extend this result to the semigroup U[F] consisting of all conformal φ: D→ D whose set of boundary regular fixed points contains a given finite set F⊂ ∂D and to its subsemigroup Uτ[F] formed by idD and all φ∈U[F]∖{idD} with the prescribed boundary Denjoy–Wolff point τ∈ ∂D∖ F. This completes the study launched in Gumenyuk, P. (Constr. Approx. 46 (2017), 435–458, https://doi.org/10.1007/s00365-017-9376-4), where the case of interior Denjoy–Wolff point τ∈ D was considered

Transcribing: between listening, memory, and invention

Giuliano Bracci’s research investigates the process and implications of transcribing a musical work from the past and aims to expand knowledge and understanding of this creative practice. Bracci views the practice of transcribing as a form of listening, as a means of reflecting on the theme of otherness and the relationship between self and other. Following Jacques Derrida’s ideas, he argues that truly respecting a musical work means operating in “absolute ingratitude,” accepting the “always threatening risk of betrayal” and of contaminating the original while, at the same time, being contaminated by it. This approach opens up the invention of new possibilities, in contrast to the musealization and sacralization of works from the past. Integrating contemporary artistic expression with one’s cultural legacy holds the potential to transform one’s relationship with history into a dynamic and creative practice. The thesis narrates a journey in which Bracci progressively sought to create more openings, allowing the selected original musical works to influence, contaminate, and transform his language as a transcriber. Bracci also situates his research within a broader context by engaging with the work and ideas of other composers, performers, musicologists, philosophers, writers, and poets.Bracci’s research offers both theoretical and artistic contributions that may encourage new ways of thinking about transcribing, enriching the discourse on the presence of the past in contemporary music and revealing how transcriptions can enable musical works to be virtually present in contemporary music, reappearing from the past like ghosts.Research in and through artistic practic

Public administrations have experienced, and still are experiencing, a wide and continuous process of change of their management control systems aiming at increasing their efficiency and effectiveness. This paper intends to contribute the doctrine that considers the management control systems as a package of different mechanisms by focusing, in particular, on the contribution that this system could offer to overcome the divisional approach. To this end, the paper will analyse the approach adopted by the Tuscan region over the last years for managing its EU funds
