UPACARA SEBA PADA MASYARAKAT BADUY
AbstrakDesa Kanekes adalah salah satu desa di Kecamatan Leuwidamar Kabupaten Lebak Propinsi Banten. Sebagian besar tanahnya merupakan dataran tinggi yang bergunung dengan lembah-lembah yang merupakan daerah aliran sungai dan hulu-hulu sungai yang mengalir ke sebelah utara. Bagian tengah dan selatan desa merupakan hutan lindung atau hutan tutupan yang oleh penduduknya, yaitu Orang Baduy, sangat dijaga kelestariannya. Seba merupakan sebuah tradisi yang setiap tahun dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Baduy sebagai wujud nyata tanda kesetiaan dan ketaatan kepada penguasa. Seba itu sendiri merupakan peristiwa dalam untaian adat masyarakat Baduy yang dilakukan seusai upacara Kawalu dan Ngalaksa. Upacara Seba mereka laksanakan melalui persiapan yang matang serta berpedoman pada peraturan adat. Orang yang berperan melakukan Seba adalah kepercayaan Puun atas nama warganya untuk memberikan laporan kepada Pemerintah sekaligus menjembatani komunikasi. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, yaitu mendeskripsikan secara rinci fenomena sosial tertentu. Sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Yaitu pendekatan yang menggambarkan persoalan manusia dan kebudayaannya yang kompleks dan menyeluruh. AbstractSeba (giving tribute) ceremony is performed every year by the Baduy of Desa (village) Kanekes, district of Leuwidamar, regency of Lebak, the Province of Banten. It is a manifestation of signs of loyalty and obedience to the ruler. It is a part of a series of customary ceremony that is carried out by the Baduy after Kawalu and Ngalaksa ceremonies. Puun (the chief) gives authority to a member of his community to perform seba to deliver report to government and to bridge communication between them. This is a descriptive-qualitative research. It is hoped that the author could describe a more detailed information concerning certain social phenomenon such as seba.</jats:p

AbstrakPenelitian tentang upacara seba yang merupakan puncak kegiatan ritual keagamaan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat (Baduy) Kanekes di Kabupaten Lebak, bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna dan simbol yang ada dalam upacara tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan bersifat deskripsi dengan pendekatan fungsional melalui teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara dan pengamatan. Hasil penelitian ini menggambarkan bahwa upacara seba merupakan puncak acara ritual yang dilakukan setahun sekali yang dimaksudkan untuk mengungkapkan rasa syukur kepada Tuhan dan pemerintah atas kesejahteraan masyarakat Baduy yang telah dihasilkan dalam kurun satu tahun. Di samping itu upacara ini menjadi bukti adanya pengakuan secara adat dan bertujuan untuk bersilaturahmi antara masyarakat Kanekes dengan pemerintah baik di kabupaten maupun di provinsi yaitu kepada pejabat bupati dan gubernur yang secara informal mereka menjadi pemimpin masyarakat Baduy. Pelaksanaan upacara dipilih waktu yang terbaik untuk hari dan tanggal pelaksanaannya, terutama setelah selesai panen. Upacara seba merupakan rangkaian dari religi atau sistem kepercayaan agama Sunda Wiwitan yang dianut oleh masyarakat Kanekes, maka upacara ini wajib dilakukan karena merupakan pusaka leluhur harus terus dijaga dan dilestarikan yang diwariskan secara berkesinambungan kepada anak cucunya secara tegas dan mengikat.AbstractThis research aims to find out meanings and symbols in seba, the culmination of (Baduy) Kanekes‟ religious ritual. By conducting descriptive research method the author applied functional approach. Data were collected through interviews and observation. The result shows that the seba ceremony is the culmination of series of religious ritual conducting every year. The ceremony is performed to express gratitude to God and the government for the prosperity they have gained during the year. On the other hand, seba is the evidence of customary recognition as well as a means of maintaining good relationship between Kanekes people and the government, either with bupati (the Regent)or the governor as their informal leaders. The Baduys determine good date and time which they think the best for performing the ceremony, especially after harvest time. Seba is a part of series in religious ritual of ancient Sundanese belief system (Sunda Wiwitan) which is embraced by the Baduys. The ceremony is an obligatory because it is the legacy of their ancestors which have to be preserved and to be passed on continuously to their descendants.</jats:p

Abstrak
Wilayah Kepulauan Riau merupakan wilayah dengan letak yang sangat strategis. Sehingga hal ini menyebabkan maraknya terjadi penyelundupan di Kepulauan Riau, Penyelundupan rokok illegal yang terjadi di Kepulauan Riau mengharuskan pemerintah untuk terus waspada terhadap titik yang menjadi wilayah operasi kepabeanan, dan juga terhadap wilayah yang seringkali dilewati transportasi laut baik nasional maupun internasional. maka dari itu penulis meninjau studi kasus yang diangkat berdasarkan teori kebijakan publik serta konsep keamanan maritime, dengan teori dan studi kasus ini penulis berusaha untuk menonjolkan penulisan terhadap hal apa saja yang sudah dilakukan oleh pemerintah dalam hal memberantas penyelundupan tembakau yang terjadi sesuai dengan asas yang ada di dalam teori dan konsep yang penulis gunakan.

The Riau Islands region is an area with a very strategic location. So that this has led to rampant smuggling in the Riau Archipelago. Illegal cigarette smuggling that occurs in the Riau Archipelago requires the government to continue to be alert to points that become customs operations areas, and also to areas that are often passed by sea transportation both nationally and internationally. therefore the author reviews case studies raised based on public policy theory and the concept of maritime security, with this theory and case studies the author tries to highlight what has been done by the government in terms of eradicating tobacco smuggling that occurs in accordance with existing principles in the theory and concepts that the author uses.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analysis for flexible thin-film solar cells at HyEt Solar
Thanks to the continuous development in its technology, solar photovoltaics is already on its way to substitute conventional energy resources as a sustainable source of energy. However, concerns regarding the environmental burden associated with the life cycle stages of the PV systems are increasing with the fast growth of the technology. This study focuses on the environmental impacts associated with the roll-to-roll (R2R) production of the flexible thin-film silicon-based PV technology developed by the Dutch company HyEt Solar. A life cycle assessment analysis (LCA) for the manufacturing of the flexible thin-film solar modules (PowerFoil) at HyEt Solar is carried out using the SimaPro software. This study covers three cases for the 2.1 kWp (PowerFoil) PV system suitable for rooftop installation. The first is the case of single-junction a-Si modules with an efficiency of 7%, the second is the case of tandem-junction (a-Si/nc-Si) modules with an efficiency of 10%, and the final one is the case of tandem-junction (a-Si/nc-Si) with improved efficiency of 12%. The goal is to first assess the environmental impacts for the manufacturing process using the CML-IA baseline method, with a focus on the global warming potential (GWP) impact category, then perform a sensitivity analysis to study the effects of changing specific parameters and assumptions. Additionally, this study uses the Cumulative Energy Demand v1.11 calculation method in SimaPro to quantify the total energy requirement for the manufacturing process of the PV system and based on that, the energy payback time (EPBT) is calculated. This LCA study follows the framework and guidelines provided by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and uses the Ecoinvent 3.5 database for choosing the inventory’s input processes. After taking the utilization losses, the balance of system and energy requirements for higher deposition rate for the bottom cell into account, it was found that the lowest total GWP impact of 1031 kg CO2-eq (20.4 g CO2-eq/kWh) was scored by the tandem-junction system with improved module efficiency (η= 12%). Results also showed that the Heat/Electricity input category was the highest contributor in the total global warming potential and the total primary energy demand for all three cases. Sensitivity analysis results found that the optimal deposition rate for the bottom cell was 2 [nm/s] and that both the GWP impact per unit electricity generated and the EPBT dropped for large-scale utilities, while the increase in irradiation in different locations did not necessarily lead to a decrease in energy payback time. iFlamingoPV projectElectrical Engineering | Sustainable Energy Technolog
Soft Diplomacy Efforts Through The BIPA Program From Educational and Cultural Attaché (Atdikbud) in Manila To Improve Bilateral Relations Between The Philippines And Indonesia In 2021-2023
On November 24, 2023, bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Philippines will be 74 years old. Indonesia has shared ways to maintain bilateral relations with the Philippines. However, judging from the world political and economic upheaval after COVID-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Indonesia must anticipate various risks that will arise. Therefore, the author will look at Indonesia's efforts, through Atdikbud Manila, to improve bilateral relations between Indonesia and the Philippines through soft diplomacy in the education sector. The author will use qualitative research methods with a descriptive analysis research type. According to John W. Creswell, qualitative research explores and understands the meaning several individuals or groups ascribe to social or humanitarian problems. Qualitative research can describe the speech, writing, or behavior observed by a particular individual, group, society, or organization in a particular setting, and everything will be studied from a complete, comprehensive, and holistic point of view. This qualitative approach can guide the analysis of soft diplomacy efforts to improve bilateral relations between the Philippines and Indonesia through the BIPA Atdikbud Manila program. The efforts made by Indonesia through Atdikbud Manila in implementing the BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) program are a good step in improving bilateral relations between the two countries. Even though bilateral relations have existed for 74 years, Indonesia must always maintain them through soft diplomacy. In the end, Indonesia's efforts to implement soft diplomacy through the BIPA program can be achieved in 2021–2023, as seen from the increase in applicants who want to take BIPA classes

Sexual violence is a phenomenon that is considered very controversial because it is a case that harms anyone, be it the victim, the perpetrator, or the person handling the violence case. This means that if you become a victim, you will damage yourself mentally, physically, socially, and vice versa. The research approach used by the author is descriptive. Descriptive research is a form of research that describes natural and man-made phenomena. Then the author uses qualitative research that is naturalistic because this research will be carried out naturally. Several theories and concepts were studied to become the basis for analyzing each case study, especially in analyzing how International Relations views cases of sexual violence against children.Kekerasan seksual merupakan fenomena yang dianggap sangat kontroversial karena merupakan kasus yang merugikan siapa saja, baik korban, pelaku, maupun orang yang menangani kasus kekerasan tersebut. Spatial identification of critical nutrient loads of large shallow lakes: Implications for Lake Taihu (China)
Ongoing eutrophication frequently causes toxic phytoplankton blooms. This induces huge worldwide challenges for drinking water quality, food security and public health. Of crucial importance in avoiding and reducing blooms is to determine the maximum nutrient load ecosystems can absorb, while remaining in a good ecological state. These so called critical nutrient loads for lakes depend on the shape of the load-response curve. Due to spatial variation within lakes, load-response curves and therefore critical nutrient loads could vary throughout the lake. In this study we determine spatial patterns in critical nutrient loads for Lake Taihu (China) with a novel modelling approach called Spatial Ecosystem Bifurcation Analysis (SEBA). SEBA evaluates the impact of the lake's total external nutrient load on the local lake dynamics, resulting in a map of critical nutrient loads for different locations throughout the lake. Our analysis shows that the largest part of Lake Taihu follows a nonlinear load-response curve without hysteresis. The corresponding critical nutrient loads vary within the lake and depend on management goals, i.e. the maximum allowable chlorophyll concentration. According to our model, total nutrient loads need to be more than halved to reach chlorophyll-a concentrations of 30–40 μg L−1 in most sections of the lake. To prevent phytoplankton blooms with 20 μg L−1 chlorophyll-a throughout Lake Taihu, both phosphorus and nitrogen loads need a nearly 90% reduction. We conclude that our approach is of great value to determine critical nutrient loads of lake ecosystems such as Taihu and likely of spatially heterogeneous ecosystems in general
