A 21GHz 20.5%-tuning range Colpitts VCO with −119 dBc/Hz phase noise at 1MHz offset
No full textA SiGe BiCMOS Colpitts VCO with a transformer-coupled varactor operating from 18.8 to 23.1 GHz is presented. The Colpitts topology is leveraged to trade a slight degradation in the oscillator figure-of-merit for very low phase noise. The oscillator features a state-of-the-art phase noise of -119.4 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from the carrier, while drawing 17.5 mA from the 4 V supply. The oscillator FoM is -188 dBc/Hz. The VCO also shows a wide 20.5% tuning range, which results in a FoMT = -194 dBc/Hz

No full textFabio Tronchetti is an Associate Professor of Law at the School of Law of the Harbin Institute of Technology, People’s Republic of China, where he also serves as Director of the International Law Department. Since January 2014 he works as an Adjunct Professor of Comparative National Space Law at the the School of Law of the University of Mississippi, United States. Earlier in his career he was Lecturer and Academic Coordinator at the International Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University, the Netherlands.
Professor Tronchetti is regularly invited to give lectures at several European and Chinese Universities, including the Cologne University (Germany), the Leiden University (the Netherlands) and the Beihang University (Beijing, China) and has participated as a speaker at numerous international conferences.
Prof. Tronchetti’s scholarly is primarily in the areas of international space law and public international law. His publications include two books and more than 20 articles in internationally peer-reviewed space law and policy journals, such as Space Policy, the German Journal of Air and Space Law, the Journal of Space Law, etc.
He holds a PhD in International Space Law (Leiden University) and an Advanced LL.M in International Relations (Bologna University, Italy). He is Member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), European Centre for Space Law (ECSL), and the Asian Society of International Law (ASIL). On-line detection of atmospheric formaldehyde by a conductometric biosensor
No full textAtmospheric formaldehyde (CH2O) was detected under continuous flow conditions by an on-line system comprising of a wet scrubber for a continuous transfer of the pollutant to an aqueous solution, a micro-reactor containing immobilized formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH) and a conductometric transducer. By this system atmospheric formaldehyde concentrations in the range 0.05–2 ppm were detected with a sensitivity of 20 μS/ppm. In this concentration range the immobilized enzyme oxidized all the sampled formaldehyde molecules to formic acid, avoiding cumbersome calibration procedures. The operational stability of the biosensor was at least 3 months, working continuously 10 h/day at room temperature
