Un Metodo Non Parametrico Multi-Aspetto per la Valutazione dell’Esperienza Universitaria

    No full text
The University experience is central in the life of the young. Universities should provide a high level student support. To this end, a careful evaluation of university services is necessary. This evaluation is complex because it involves many aspects. Therefore, a multi-aspect nonparametric method which allows to combine several partial evaluations is used. The method is applied to data from a sample survey conducted on students of the University of Padova that are at the end of the study process. In the paper we consider the quality of many services, such as registrar’s offices, the structure of exams, student socialization and reached skills

A Non-Parametric Index of Accessibility of Services for Households

The accessibility level of ten public services, collected by ISTAT within the Multi-Purpose Survey on Households, is analyzed within a non-parametric framework, and an index measuring the global difficulty in accessing services for households is proposed in the paper. The index is obtained by means of a non-parametric procedure of combination of service accessibility rankings. Two approaches are developed: in the first, the same weight is given to all services; in the second, more importance is assigned to Emergency Room, Groceries and Supermarket services. The aim is to evaluate, from a general point of view, the access difficulty of households to essential social and health services, in relation to their classification into eight groups according to important aspects such as the presence in the family of elderly people, children, or chronically ill people

Skills and training requirements of municipal directors: a statistical assessment

A survey has been performed in collaboration with the National Association of the Municipalities of Italy (Veneto region) to study the role of the municipalities with regard to the local area, to reconceptualize the profile of public directors and to study municipal directors as far as requirements in terms of competencies for skills and training are concerned. In the paper the importance of municipal director requirements for skills and training is assessed using composite indicators. The analysis showed that the most important skill requirements refer to internal aspects of the organization, whereas the most important training requirements refer also to external aspects. The analysis has been repeated on the strata of municipal directors obtained by considering municipality population, director sex, length of service, education and opinions about municipal mission. It is shown that the various strata of directors are rather concordant in assessing the importance of skill and training requirements. Municipal directors are aware of Italian public administration now being oriented toward new public management where they are assessed according to the results they produce. The robustness of the results has been addressed using uncertainty analysis

This paper describes some of the results of the research conducted by the Delphi method on the family tomorrow. Some hypotheses of future scenarios useful to understand today and to equip themselves for tomorrow are evaluated by a selected group of experts. From the focus group material, 41 items were identified, divided into 7 sections corresponding to different thematic areas concerning the family. (Parents, spouses, extended family, children, housing, family models, politics and services, communication, solidarity). The research was carried out in four successive surveys, the first through a face-to-face interview to 32 experts selected according to criteria of expertise on the theme of the family. The subsequent ones using a CAWI method (Computer Assisted Web Based Interview) based on the online self-compilation of a computerized questionnaire, for which the LimeSurvey software was used (www.limesurvey.org). Respondents were asked to provide two assessments. The first "Evolution", and "Relevance" assigning a value between 0 and 100. In order to evaluate the relative importance of the various items, the Global Rank approach based on compound indicators was used

The factors influencing drop-out in eatings disorders are still unclear. The study determined that compliance is strongly related to the patient-theerapist relationship. We founded that out of 100 patients enrolled , 53 withdraw and when probability was predicted according to digit model, it was not influenced by EDI-II subscales, age, sex, education, EARìT-40 score, duration of the disorder and diagnosis while is significantly decreased when GCI scores increased and decreased when PPW was altered
