Hot Stock or Not? A Qualitative Multi-Attribute Model to Detect Financial Market Manipulation
The emergence of online financial information channels, such as web portals and financial blogs, eases the challenge process for scammers of publishing fraudulent contents in order to manipulate share prices. To maintain market integrity, financial market surveillance authorities monitor these different information channels to detect suspicious behaviour. However, as the available amount of online information increases, analyses become more costly and time-consuming. In order to support related decisions, we have developed a model to identify fraudulent situations. Based on interviews with domain experts, we first identified the factors determining suspicious situations and then applied a qualitative multi-attribute modelling technique. Thereby, our resulting model builds upon valuable knowledge of domain experts and provides means to address the challenge of information based market manipulation

The work consists of a preliminary study with 86 participants and a main study with 196 personal and 98 online participants. We measured acceptance, understanding, memorization and visualization of the user for an ad. The collected data were used to make databases. The data was analyzed by using pivot tables and charts, which were used to display the connections and interactions between the collected data. We derived an approximate view of specific user types for an ad. We enhanced the database use with decision tree models for add message type choosing. The database allows us to design an ad for a specific user or to determine potential users for a premade ad
Selection of the Most Effective Marketing Strategy for the Promotion of the Measurement Board of a Selected Company
The master\u27s thesis addresses the selection of the most effective marketing strategy for the promotion of a specific high-tech product using decision support methods. The aim of the research is to analyze existing promotional approaches and, based on multi-criteria modeling, identify the most appropriate strategy or combination of strategies for promoting the measurement board STEMlab 125-14 4-Input Starter Kit. In the study, we used the DEXiWin software tool to develop a decision model based on criteria related to the effectiveness of different forms of promotion. The theoretical part focuses on the fields of marketing strategies, multi-criteria decision-making, and decision support systems. In the empirical part, we analyzed the current practices of the company Red Pitaya, where the product serves as a case study, and conducted a comparative analysis of various promotional approaches. The goal of the thesis was to combine theory and practical analysis to provide a well-founded proposal for the most effective marketing strategy for promoting the selected product. The results of the research indicate that the most effective approaches for product promotion are trade fairs, Google Ads, advertisements on foreign platforms, and university hackathons, as they combine broad reach, high engagement, and a balanced effectiveness in both digital and physical environments
Assessment and selection of technical solutions for stator production
Magistrska naloga obravnava vrednotenje in izbiro tehnoloških rešitev za izdelavo statorjev elektromotorja. V nadaljavanju smo analizirali alternative, odločitvene modele in rezultate primerjali in ugotavljali njihovo skladnost. The master thesis is about evaluation and selection of technological solutions for the production of stators for electro motors. The company we have collaborated with in making this master thesis is frequently faced with choosing technological solutions for producing electro motors and their sub components. Confronted with this issue, we decided to design a decision model, which will allow a quick and simple evaluation of stator production technological solutions. In the thesis we are presenting the designing and the concept of decision models, using two methods: a combination of a weighted-sum method and decision trees, and the method DEX. We analized decision alternatives, compared decision models and results, and evaluated their compliance. From both decision models we got the most suitable technological solution for stator production on the equipment supplier level. In the combined weighted sum and decision tree model of we considered also the probability of occurrence for different forecasted production quantities scenarios. With this we tried to further improve the selection and reduce the decision risks. Because of the complexity of the decision problem we carried out the evaluation in two stages. This allowed us to achieve a better comprehensibility and structure of decision models. We got the same results from both decision models and the same classification of the alternatives, so we could conclude that the decision models are comparable. The best evaluated machine supplier for stator production technology is also in the reality performing the best of the three evaluated suppliers. From this we can conclude that the decision models are correct and suitable for implementation in practice
