From Thread to Fabric: Anthropology and Its Interpreters
In the Conclusion of the book edited by Hande Birkalan Gedik and Fabiana Dimpfelmeier, the author traces the dynamics between the thread and the fabric, going back to Fredric Barth's seminal 2000 Sydney Mintz lecture, published in 2002. Using different examples, from ideas that speak of global anthropological concerns, to the more particular issues of what it means to produce (and use) the anthropological knowledge, the chapter emphasizes the need to understand different regional traditions. This open access edition of ‘Fabrics of Anthropological Knowledge: Changing Perspectives in Europe and Beyond’,

The relationship between thermal and elastic properties of materials
In this study, changings of ultrasonic velocity and elastic constants were examined by using ultrasonic methods depend on sintering temperature. the ceramic metal composite were formed using (WC) Ni + Co, (WC) + Ni, (WC) Ni + Mg, (TiC) + (Fe + Ni) powders. Powders placed into 15 mm radius die pressed under 360 bar pressure using a hydraulic press. Plated powders were sintered at temperature of ranging from 700°C to 1300°C under Argon shroud. Both longitudinal and transverse ultrasonic velocity measurements were done using 4MHz transducer. Longitudinal and transverse velocity and the density values were used to calculate of the elastic constant coefficient of Young Modulus (E). In this study, dependings of ultrasonic velocity and elasticity to sintering temperature were found. As a result, ultrasound velocity values and Young's Modulus parallel to the sintering temperature were found to be increased

applications
In this study, a single layer reflectarray antenna is proposed with variable patch sized unit cells and suggested for enhancing the bandwidth with small overall dimensions for X-band applications. The novel unit cell consists of double cutted ring geometry. 13 x 13 unit cells reflectarray is covering an 162.5 x 162.5 mm(2) ultrathin square substrate with epsilon(r) = 6.15 dielectric permittivity and 0.042 x lambda(0) thickness. In order to obtain larger and smoother phase curve, 2 mm air gap is inserted between substrate and ground plane. The required phase delay is compensated by using variable size unit cell elements. The main beam is directed to the desired direction (theta = 0 degrees). A 169-elements reflectarray is illuminated by a pyramidal horn antenna which is located at F = 148 mm. The designed reflectarray antenna is simulated and fabricated to validate the design method. The measurements are made in a shielded anechoic chamber. The simulation and measurement results are in agreement with each other. The maximum gain value is 22.93 dBi at 12 GHz, 1-dB gain bandwidth is 18% between 10 and 12 GHz and 3-dB gain bandwidth is 24% between 9.4 and 12 GHz
Single layer reflectarray antenna design with variable size patches for X-band applications
In this study, single layer microstrip reflectarray antenna design and analysis for X-band (8-12 GHz) applications are performed. A new unit cell has been designed to achieve phase change in linear form. This structure composed of interdigitated diamond-shaped geometry and it is printed on a thin dielectric substrate with epsilon(r)=3 dielectric permittivity and h=1.524 mm thickness. 420(0) phase range is obtained by this new design unit cell. The size of 9x9 reflectarray antenna is 153mm x 153mm. The pyramidal horn antenna is used for center-feed configuration. The required phase delay compensated by using variable size unit cell element and the main beam directed to the desired direction (theta=0(0)). The designed reflectarray antenna is practically realized and the measurements are done in non-reflective room. The performance of reflectarray antenna is verified by measurement and simulation results. Obtained simulation and measurement results are in harmony with each other. The maximum gain value is 22.25 dB at 10.7 GHz, 1-dB gain bandwidth is 20% between 9.75GHz-12 GHz and 3-dB gain bandwidth is 27% between 9.1 GHz-12 GHz

}Numerous methods have been developed to monitor the spread of negativity in modern years by eliminating vulgar, offensive, and fierce comments from social media platforms. However, there are relatively lesser amounts of study that converges on embracing positivity, reinforcing supportive and reassuring content in online forums. Consequently, we propose creating an English-Kannda Hope speech dataset, KanHope and comparing several experiments to provide benchmarking for the dataset. The dataset consists of 6,176 user-generated comments in code mixed Kannada crawled from YouTube and manually labelled as bearing hope speech or not-hope speech. In addition, we introduce DC-BERT4HOPE, a dual-channel model that uses the English translation of KanHopeEDI for additional training to promote hope speech detection. The approach achieves a weighted F1-score of 0.756, bettering other models. Henceforth, KanHope aims to instigate research in Kannada while broadly promoting researchers to take a pragmatic approach towards online content that encourages, positive, and supportive
