No full textStarting from an analysis of the Preface to the second edition of The Gay Science, this article aims to offer a new perspective on the relationship between the thoughts of Nietzsche and Spinoza. In particular, by examining the resonance of some terms used by Nietzsche, which attest to a close link between the two philoso- phers on the theme of knowledge as affect, the article will attempt to clarify how the prism of passions, which Nietzsche refers to and which recalls Spinoza directly, is at the basis of his redefinition of philosophy. The expression of this rebirth proceeds through the centrality of the body, not in the sense of a new subjective foundation, but of an abyssal darkness perpetually soaring to power

Full text linkThis article aims to illustrate some fundamental aspects of the Borgesian reading of Gilles Deleuze. Through the concepts of bifurcation and simultaneity, we will try to show in which manner the French philosopher uses Borges to show how the selection of best of all possible worlds in the Leibnizian Theodicy, develops in the Argentinian writer through a vertiginous image of coexistence of all possibilities. The Universe of Borges, unlike that of Leibniz, is according to Deleuze, crossed by plots that develop bifurcated paths, that is, through non-linear series, points of rupture that open to the synchronic coexistence of contradictions. A sort of absurdity in which the linear and its paradox are co-present and not excluded

No full textQuesto articolo si propone di offrire alcuni chiarimenti in merito al concetto di assurdo in Giuseppe Rensi. Richiamando la radice etimologica di questo termine, legata al distonico e all’assenza di suono, è possibile mostrare come nel filosofo veronese il concetto di assurdo non si riferisca a una semplice assenza di senso, ma a una discordanza, una contraddizione, che rimane insita nella realtà e nel vivere. La realtà è animata dalla coesistenza di elementi reciprocamente contraddittori, una contraddizione irrisolta e irrisolvibile, attraverso l’impulso che il vivente ha contro se stesso, verso il nulla. E come in matematica la razionalità e l’irrazionalità coesistono per formare il ‘reale’, e come un suono si dà solo nel ritmo dei sordi, allo stesso modo la realtà è quella composizione ‘assurda’ tra il volere e il contro di sé, nella sua tensione permanente tra l’essere e il nulla

No full textTHE MUTE AND THE BARBARIC. POETICS AND MYTHOLOGY IN VICO ACCORDING TO ALAIN PONS. This article sets out to analyse, throu- gh Alain Pons’ interpretation of it, the category of the barbaric in Vico’s work. Emphasising one of Vico’s fundamental discoveries, namely the revaluation of the poetic as a key to interpreting the world, Pons shows how in Vico wisdom is not ascribable only to the rational dimension, and that it is in the field of the symbolic, synthesis of fantasy and expression, that the link between truth and metaphorical power must be ‘discovered’. In this sense, the ‘barbaric’, with its mutism and archaisms, its mythologies and poetry, regains a ‘productive’ con- notation, assuming a fundamental relevance in understanding the course and history of origins
