En partant du souvenir des séminaires que Bion a tenus à Rome, je me concentrarai sue l’”imagination spéculative” et sur d’autres concepts qui ont été approfondis dans mon pays. Je m’intéresserai également à la manière dont on y a élaboré la vision particulière de la psychanalyse que l’on peut qualifier d’ “anthropologie psychanalytique”

No full textThis book is one of a short series on the teaching of post-Kleinian psychoanalysis, with a companion volume on Teaching Meltzer.
Wilfred Bion always emphasised that he had no desire to implant his thoughts in others but hoped instead to inspire their own process of self-knowledge or ‘becoming’, which can only take place in the conviction that the mind ‘exists’ and is not merely a figure of speech. He spoke of ‘intercessors’ and cited one of his own teachers, Socrates, on the need to distinguish phantoms from real thoughts, intelligence from wisdom.
Like psychoanalysis itself, teaching is a form of learning from experience, conducted in the context of a joint search with students or colleagues, or indeed patients. A good teacher is essentially a student, and ‘What are you when you cease to be a student of psychoanalysis?” as Bion said. Teaching the work of one’s teachers can be an especially fruitful means of internalising them, and an invitation to others.
The contributions in this book are international and varied in their approach, and have been worked out over time, so offer an opportunity for current and future teachers to experiment and analyse their own methods. Style, cultural context, personal bias and interests are all important in making the teaching situation a live and authentic one from which the participants, and likewise the reader, can select what speaks to them

No full textInternational audienceDans ce recueil de quatre articles théoriques écrits entre 1976 et 1979, W. R. Bion aborde certains de ses thèmes fondamentaux : la césure, la turbulence émotionnelle, la preuve de la pertinence d'une interprétation et les difficultés de communication entre analyste et analysant lors de l'expérience analytique. Les deux premiers articles, "Emotional Turbulence" et "On a Quotation from Freud", ont été d'abord publiés dans les actes du congrès de Topeka (mars 1976), par l'International Universities Press, New York. Les deux autres, "Evidence" et "Making the Best of a Bad Job" (le dernier article écrit par W. R. Bion), sont parus dans The Bulletin of the British Psycho-Analytical Society. Ces quatre textes ont été réunis par Francesca Bion, en 1987, sous le titre Four Papers et constituent aujourd'hui la troisième partie des Clinical Seminars and Other Works , publiés par Karnac Books en 2000. L'édition française de ces articles est suivie d'une postface par Pierre-Henri Castel, d'un index des noms et des notions, d'une bibliographie, ainsi que d'une reproduction d'un dessin des Carnets de Léonard de Vinci (cité par Bion)

Get PDFThe object of this paper is to revise and comment Bion�s Concepts with respect to myths and
mythology throughout the extent of his work. It begins with general considerations about Bion:
his personality and distinctive traits, the general characteristics of his works and the in? uences
that he had over his ideas and in building his theories. The author then underlines the two
main sources of Bion�s thought: psychoanalysis and philosophy, although he also refers to the
important in? uence of mathematics and literature over Bion�s work.
He then proceeds to study Bion�s statements on structure and composition of myths. Bion also
referred systemically to other mythical stories in which he found several similarities with the
Oedipal tale; especially, It should be noted that Bion shifts the focus of freudian Oedipus, based
on sexuality, incest, parricide and castration anxiety, and turns it into a knowledge problem.
The author also emphasizes the clinical utility that myths have for Bion, as they can be used
as comprehensive models for patient material and its further interpretation. In this sense, the
author is convinced that the myth that best describes Bion�s personality, the �paciente Bion�,
object of our study, is the Garden of Eden myth.
It is concluded that Bion�s input on the study of Myths is very important due to its originality
and depthO objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar uma revisão comentada dos conceitos de Bion relacionados com os mitos e com a mitologia, tal como eles os expõe ao longo de sua obra.O
trabalho começa com considerações gerais a respeito de Bion, os traços mais marcantes de sua
personalidade , sobre as características gerais de sua obra e sobre as in? uências que teve no
desenvolvimento de suas idéias e teorias.
As principias fontes de seu pensamento foram: a psicanalítica e a ? losó? ca, e além destas o
autor agrega a importância da matemática e da literatura. O autor faz uma revisão das propostas de Bion sobre a estrutura e composição dos mitos. Serão feitas referências às diversas
narrativas míticas, as quais Bion se referiu, de maneira sistemática, nas quais encontra muitas
concordâncias com o relato edípico, ainda que Bion muda o eixo Edípico freudiano baseado no
sexual, no incesto e parricídio, e na ansiedade de castração, para dar ênfase no problema do
conhecimento.
Para Bion, os mitos tem utilidade clínica podendo ser usados como modelos para a compreensão do material do paciente e depois a interpretação.
O autor deste trabalho tem a convicção que o mito que mais se aproxima para entenderEl objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una revisión comentada de los conceptos de Bion relacionados con los mitos y con la mitología, tal como los expone a lo largo de su obra. Se inicia
con unas consideraciones generales sobre él, su personalidad en sus rasgos distintivos, sobre
las características generales de su obra y sobre las in? uencias que tuvo en el desarrollo de sus
ideas y teorías. Se destacan las dos principales fuentes de su pensamiento: la psicoanalítica y la
? losó? ca, aunque el autor agrega la importancia de la in? uencia de las matemáticas y de la literatura. Luego, entra a revisar sus planteamientos sobre la estructura y composición de los mitos.
También, se hará referencia a diversas narrativas míticas, a las que Bion se re? rió, de manera
sistemática, en las cuales encuentra muchas concordancias con el relato edípico, aunque Bion
cambia el eje del Edipo freudiano, basado en lo sexual, en el incesto y parricidio, en la ansiedad
de castración, para poner el énfasis en un problema del conocimiento.
También se resalta la utilidad clínica que, para Bion, tienen los mitos, los que pueden ser usados
a manera de modelos para la comprensión del material del paciente y su posterior interpretación. En este sentido el autor está convencido que el mito que más se acerca para entender a
Bion, a su personalidad, al �paciente Bion� objeto de estudio, es el de El Jardín del Edén
