GUINEVERE Project: Updated Deterministic Model by the ERANOS French Code
Since the first ENEA report about the GUINEVERE experimental project (July 2009), some geometric and composition modifications have been taken into account by the experimental team at SCK-CEN Mol in Belgiurn, as a normal evolution during the set-up of an experimental program. In this report the new neutronic rnodel by the ERANOS French code will be described, together with the results and the comparison with the MCNPX Monte Carlo code corresponding model.
Is trastuzumab as a single agent obsolete in early breast cancer? No
Until very recently, the “one size fits all” approach, with trastuzumab and chemotherapy with or without endocrine therapy, has been considered standard of care in almost all patients with HER2-positive early breast cancer. The combination of trastuzumab and chemotherapy is considered an undeniable therapy in this setting, given the unquestionable clinical benefit and the favorable safety profile. This almost universal adoption of trastuzumab-based therapies in early breast cancer has led to a proportional increase of overtreated patients, thus making treatment de-escalation in HER2-positive early breast cancer one of the major and more urgent unmet clinical need. In patients with HER2-positive disease at low/intermediate risk, single agent trastuzumab is not at all obsolete, and actually it remains the standard of care and represents the basis for many current efforts to a tailored treatment de-escalation. In this population, it is now crucial to improve treatment tailoring, by fine-tuning both patient selection and treatment administration
A note on computing polynomial filters for robust SPR of systems with polyhedral uncertainty
This paper addresses the robust strict positive realness (RSPR) problem when the uncertain polynomial family is defined by an l∞ ball in coefficient space. A new characterization of the filters solving such problem is proposed. This characterization is exploited numerically to devise polynomial filters with guaranteed l∞ robustness margin
HER2-directed T-cell receptor-mimicking antibody: a "Me Too" or an example of novel antitumor aggressive mimicry?
Introducing new molecular technologies into routine clinical cancer care: is there an impact on the treatment of breast cancer?
Virgilio epigrafico. La prima testimonianza su pietra di Aen. 1, 5-6
This article contains a new quotation on stone of VERGIL Aeneid 1, 5-6 (multa quoque et bello passus dum conderet urbem / inferretque deos Latio genus unde Latinum). Given its paleographic and stylistic peculiarities, the inscription – of unknown origin – may be dated to the 2nd or early 3rd century AD. A systematic survey of the literary occurrences of these two lines is also given, together with a review of the other cases of epigraphic citations from Virgil longer than one line, either taken out of context or adapted to a sepulchral referenc
Tradizione manoscritta e citazioni epigrafiche di Ovidio. Una nota su Trist. 1, 3, 25 e Pont. 1, 2, 111 alla luce di alcuni confronti epigrafici
This paper discusses two verses of Ovid’s Tristia (1, 3, 25) and Epistulae ex Ponto (1, 2, 111), for which the manuscript tradition is discordant. These lines are quoted in three epigraphic documents: CLE 1339 = ICVR, I 3903, CLE 1979 = ICVR, VIII 23529 and CLE 1988 = CIL, VI 37965. How reliable are the quotations in the Latin inscriptions? Do they help to reassess the Ovidian text? The main purpose of this study is to answer such questions, with respect to these particular cases
Quod peto, si colitis Manes...Nuove proposte di integrazione ad AE 1982, 69 (Roma)
The authors propose a new reading of the inscription AE 1980, 69 (from Rome); this is compared with CLE 474-476 (from Rome) since they have some similarities with the text of AE
