No full textGli scritti pubblicati nel volume illustrano la produzione scientifica e progettuale di Marco Biagi, concentrandosi sui lavori più recenti, quelli in cui Biagi ha tratto i frutti delle riflessioni accumulate nel periodo formativo della sua vita accademica nell’ambito della scuola bolognese di Federico Mancini. I lavori coprono l’intero arco del diritto del lavoro: dalle tematiche classiche dei licenziamenti e della qualificazione del rapporto, a quelle di confine con tematiche extra-giuridiche come le politiche occupazionali e del mercato del lavoro, le risorse umane, la formazione professionale, l’ambiente di lavoro. I temi di diritto sindacale sono ampiamente rappresentati, con una particolare attenzione ad argomenti controversi quali la democrazia sindacale e la partecipazione dei lavoratori nell’impresa, e così i temi di relazioni industriali. La raccolta evidenzia come il filo conduttore principale dell’opera di Biagi sia l’impegno nella comparazione e l’attenzione interdisciplinare coltivata nel confronto con cultori di esperienze diverse

Conference in commemoration of Marco Biagi, held at the Marco Biagi
Foundation in Modena, Italy on 18-19 March 2014, entitled Labour and Social
Rights: An Evolving Scenario1.
The aim of the Conference was to promote a discussion on one of the most
important effects of the global economic crisis, i.e. the redefinition of the link
between labour relations and social protection, undermining the special status
of labour law. In the present scenario, labour law scholars are facing a dilemma:
on the one hand there are those who argue that labour and employment
law should be merged into more extensive or neutral fields; on the other hand,
there are those who defend the traditional framework, modified to reflect the
changing nature of employment and the underlying interests and identities.
The analytical perspective proposed to tackle this issue was that of social
rights. The use of this term, in the modern sense, not limited to rights deriving
from public policy, was intended to highlight the main factors giving rise to
changes at micro level in the balance of power and bargaining positions associated
with the two sides of industry, and, at macro level, to the increasing
asymmetry between the civil and social aspects of labour law regulation,
deemed to be in conflict in the arguments put forward by policy-makers and
the courts (in particular the Court of Justice of the European Union)

No full textL’internazionalizzazione è un processo collettivo che ha bisogno di tanti contributi. Il più importante è quello delle imprese che agiscono da apripista esportando i loro prodotti o radicando forme stabili di presenza commerciale ed ancor più produttiva sui mercati esteri. Rilevante si dimostra anche l’apporto di altri compagni di viaggio: operatori finanziari e bancari, istituzioni pubbliche a livello nazionale e locale e non ultimo il mondo dell’educazione e formazione che mette a disposizione delle imprese un asset fondale; il capitale umano.
Il presente volume ambisce a riscostruire il ruolo offerto dalla Facoltà, in seguito Dipartimento, di Economia Marco Biagi dell’Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia, della quale ricorre il cinquantennale, nel favorire l’apertura al mercato internazionale del sistema produttivo con l’offerta di programmi, insegnamenti, attività di mobilità interazionale che hanno formato migliaia di laureati che in ruoli manageriali e imprenditoriali hanno accompagnato le imprese locali e non, nei loro percorsi di internazionalizzazione

No full textIn the present paper, we consider boundary value problems on the real half-line Λ: = [0 , ∞) of the following form (Φ(a(t,x(t))x′(t)))′=f(t,x(t),x′(t))a.e.onΛ,x(0)=ν1,x(∞)=ν2,where Φ: R→ R is a strictly increasing homeomorphism, a∈ C(Λ× R, R) is nonnegative which can vanish on a set of zero Lebesgue measure and f is a Caratheódory function on Λ× R2. Under very general assumptions on the functions a and f, including an appropriate version of the well-known Nagumo–Wintner growth condition, we prove the existence of at least one solution of the above problem in a suitable Sobolev space. Our approach combines a fixed-point technique with the method of lower/upper solutions

No full textWe report the information that in the days of the radio anomaly presented in the paper Biagi et al. (2009) an interruption of the broadcasting from the transmitter (RMC,
France) happened. It remains unclear if the action resulted in a complete power off of the system, or in a reduction in the radiated power, and if this has affected France only, or every direction. Should a complete power off have occurred, the proposed pre-seismic efocusing is inexistent. Our doubts
on this action are reported
