Fred and Mary Benoit Interview
This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College Archives staff Stephanie Hofmann with Fred and Mary Benoit of Chateau Benoit Winery in Carlton, Oregon. The interview took place at Fred and Mary\u27s home in Vancouver, Washington on September 17, 2017.
Fred and Mary Benoit are the founders of Chateau Benoit Winery (renamed Anne Amie Vineyards in 2004). In this interview, the Benoits discuss the struggles of planting their first vineyard near Salem and the community of people in the industry at the time. They conclude the interview talking about the growth of their winery and why they eventually decided to sell the winery in 1999
