The research aims to investigate the potential of current interactive graphic systems and new real-time fruition formulas of non-existent spaces through the experimentation of the technological devices currently in use for three-dimensional exploration, such as: Oculis Rift applied to the Unreal Engine 4.12RT rendering platform. The case study therefore proposes the interactive reconfiguration of the complex Piranesian spaces of the Prisons, where the eighteenth-century author, cleverly exploiting the perspective framing and the chiaroscuro, represents complex and surreal labyrinthine spaces, acts in their apparently disordered combination, offering a feeling of bewilderment and amazement

La ricerca si pone l’obiettivo di indagare nell’ambito della rappresentazione architettonica le potenzialità degli attuali sistemi grafico interattivi e delle nuove formule di fruizione real-time degli spazi inesistenti attraverso la sperimentazione dei dispositivi tecnologici attualmente in uso per l’esplorazione tridimensionale, quali Oculus Rift, applicato alla piattaforma di rendering RT Unreal Engine 4.12. La ricerca tende a leggere il lavoro grafico di Paolo Soleri ed i molteplici aspetti che lo connotano al contempo come architetto, filosofo ed artista. L'attenta analisi sugli elaborati di Soleri, scritti teorici e disegni originali, provenienti da alcuni importanti musei, offre la possibilità di comprendere la complessa personalità dell'autore. Dall' interpretazione dell'eccezionale estemporaneità grafica dei progetti si giunge ad una riconfigurazione 3d. Il fine ultimo è di svelare, con l'esplorazione 3d, elaborati sebbene empatici ed emozionali spesso di difficile comprensione tecnica.The research investigates the graphic work of Paolo Soleri and the many aspects that identify him as both a philosopher- architect as an artist. The careful analysis of the Soleri works, theoretical writings and original designs from some important museums, allows the understanding of the complex per-sonality of the author. From the understanding of the spontaneous graphic projects we will reach a 3d re-configuration. The ultimate goal is to perceive with the exploration 3d empathetic and emotion-al but often difficult technical understanding drawings
La tutela dell'immagine ed il recupero del centro storico di Castelli
The paper reports the research work related to the village of Castelli, in the province of Teramo placed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, known from the late Renaissance for the production of ceramic art. This owes its fruitful development crafted mainly to the natural characteristics of the territory, to the quarries of gray clay that formed the raw material for the ceramic work. Moreover Castelli is characterized by the landscape context in which it appears, on the slopes of Gran Sasso, connoted by gullies that surround a lush woodland setting. To protect the natural and cultural heritage, compromised by hydrogeological problems, by the earthquake that hit the Abruzzo region in 2009, leading to the depletion of the workshops, it was necessary a conservation program. These reasons have supported the study aimed at protecting the landscape of the village, with the goal to encourage, through sustainable processes, a improved redevelopment that aims to counteract the gradual depopulation. For this reason, a survey was carried out on the basis of which, then, plans for the reconstruction and protection of the image of the village are developed, with purpose of the conservation and recovery

Today Orsini gallery looks like one of the most sophisticated and worldly cultural circles of the center of Rome, permanently offering a space that in the spirit of the place changes appearance according to needs. After a historical exursus, through which it will attempt to offer a rather complete reading of the events that for nearly two centuries concerning this interesting architecture, you will go to illustrate the current situation of the church, examining improvements, perspectives and critical issues of the new internal arrangement of space, convenient for multifunctional use and at the same time suffering for some problems such as the lack of natural light, visual inaccessibility of some parts of the original masonry and the current fragmented visual aesthetic of the place. The undoubted quality of architecture persuades to a depth that tends to shed light on the many changes that over the last three hundred years have distorted the original structure in multiple sessions, thereby giving to the place unexpected metamorphic features. The survey considers the possibility of dialogue between the ancient and new architecture, and compares them with the situation of current usability, in order to provide guidelines, however to be reconsidered in individual cases, necessary for adjustments to conservation, reuse and enhancement of the Italian Cultural Heritage

of the new immersive criteria offered by the active use of HMD
devices, with regard to editing methodologies and design
development in sectors with multiple purposes, now allows
a better empathic link between the virtual visitor and digital
spaces, effectively overcoming any other system of interaction
with simulated environments. Thanks to the fluid learning curve
of the software and to a progressive improvement of the level
of emotional narration, the VR experience is easily adopted
in the most varied fields, specifically aimed at describing, and
telling, something that essentially cannot exist, or no longer
exists, simulating experiences that are recorded in memory as
real and can be repeated in the future.
The Serius game is thus the easiest way to exploit the potential
of virtual platforms, in order to capture the attention, in a
natural way, of users characterized by multicultural levels and
social variables. This information system interfaces through
playful dynamics, using software and methodologies that are
not specific to digital architectural design but are rather similar
to the development pipelines for next generation videogames.
Immersion, Presence and Interactivity are the peculiarities
that synthetically define the particular functionality of virtual
devices, identifying the progress of the Third Digital Revolution,
in which we passed from 2D vector representation to a threedimensional

The contemporary architecture, consisting of project interventions on the city more and more connotative, shows progressively more dynamic and more conceptually protracted towards the information technology phenomenon. This has changed the concept of the city both physically and socially thus affecting not only the architecture, but also all those representative contemporary culture tendencies. Through the introduction of virtual environments and the spread of new media open source, together with that of social networks, the exponential knowledge sharing is indicative of a new way of thinking and conceiving their cultural requirements, today increasingly aleatory but above mediatically recurring. So the digital revolution has not only altered the perception of the city in reality, renewing the way to build and installed technological infrastructures in the buildings, but also has brought substantial changes in the design and represent the city itself through unexpected interpretations
Nuovi strumenti e formule rappresentative per la comprensione dello spazio architettonico
The paper deals with the new instruments for the representation and survey of architectural space in development in recent years thanks to the second revolution technology, which has further enhanced the ability to interact with digital spaces through the introduction of virtual reality tools, augmented reality and holograms devices, new 3d immersive viewing systems which progressively overlap with the real space. In the study case they are compared a real-time exploration of some projects of Palladio with a digital reconfiguration of some Soleri Arcologies, emphasizing the importance of these new representative formulas in plastic and design understanding of a project
