Mitogenomic divergence between three pairs of putative geminate fishes from Panama
© 2018, © 2017 The Author(s). Published by Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group. We sequenced the complete mitochondrial genomes of three pairs of congeneric peripheral fishes distributed on either side of the Isthmus of Panama in order to test their status as geminate species pairs. Our phylogenetic analysis did not support a sister relationship between Gobiomorus dormitor and G. maculatus and therefore they cannot be considered geminates. The average genetic distance of protein-coding genes between Sicydium altum and S. salvini was more than two times larger than between Atlantic and Pacific Awaous banana, suggesting different timings for their divergence across the Isthmus of Panama
Duc in Altum! Evangelization in "the Digital Age"
Evangelizacijom digitalnoga svijeta Crkva oplemenjuje i humanizira društvo, razvijajući autentičnu komunikaciju i unoseći vrjednote u komunikacijske prostore.Modern media are not only (new) means of communication, but also a new communication "space" that is each day visited and occupied by a large number of people. In this virtual space the Church can meet people and interact with them, and "the digital continent" presents the Church with a challenge for the new evangelization. However, the evangelization of the virtual world requires more than the application of existing methods of pastoral ministry. The first thing is to notice the changes that occur in connection with new media, to get to know a person in the digital culture, because it is in those areas that a person experiences significant changes. Therefore, the author as the first step of evangelization points to some characteristics of the new culture, he speaks about the new codes of communication and new dynamics that develops between "interlocutors". All this helps the Church to better understand the way people today think and experience others. Special attention should be paid to the shaping of personal identity as well as sociability which are formed through social networks. Through the evangelization of digital world the Church enriches and humanizes society by developing an authentic communication and bringing its values to the spaces of communication
