TENTATIVES DE REPRODUCTION DU FLAMANT ROSE Phoenicopterus roseus DANS LE SAHARA ALGERIEN (2007-2017)
No full textLe Flamant rose Phoenicopterus roseus s‘est reproduit dans trois sites du Sahara algérien entre 2007 et 2017 ; soit Sebkhet El Maleh (El Goléa), Sebkhet Safioune (Ouargla) et Chott Merouane (El Meghaier). Nous avons pu enregistrer 13 tentatives de reproduction de cette espèce, dont six ont abouti à des éclosions et à l‘envol des poussins. Le plus haut taux de succès de reproduction (86%) a été enregistré à Chott Merouane avec 2400 poussins. L‘espèce a tenté de se reproduire à huit reprises à El Goléa, dont six ont échoué. Les causes d‘échec sont nombreuses, les plus fréquentes sont les intrusions humaines et de canidés (chacal et renard) ainsi que les assèchements précoces suite à la hausse des températures coïncidant avec les pontes et les éclosions
