Chinese leadership in digitizing the national currency
This study aims to highlight the role of Chinese experience in pioneering the digital financial revolution through the issuance of the digital currency of the central bank, and to highlight the reasons behind this. We used the descriptive analytical approach to identify the basic concepts of the central bank digital currency, strengths and weaknesses, determine the technical characteristics of the digital Renminbi, factor and reasons analysis for China's leadership in this financial technology. We finished this by showing the most important results, which are the availability of digital innovation and the data revolution. Outstanding Progress puts China in a good position to issue the first Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC). And an acceleration of the implementation process by CBDC is due to be part of its push to internationalize the Yuan, reduce dependence on the dollar-dominated payment system, and blunt the impact of any sanctions or threats of exclusion both on a country and on a compan
"Enfer et folie", propositions pour une lecture d'un texte de Youcef Sebti
Hell and madness, an analysis of a poem by Youcef Sebti. Hell and madness, a short poem published in Anthologie de la nouvelle poésie algérienne, edited by Jean Sénac, is analysed without reference either to the author or to his other works. However, his situation as a citizen of a country now independent after a hundred years of colonization is not ignored. This is an attempt to uncover the deeper meaning of the poem, by dint of sylistic analysis. The problem — to which no definite solution is found — is the following : which value, positive or negative, can be accorded to the second pole of the poem, namely madness ? It seems possible to interpret the whole poem as the life-journey of a man, first through the hell of colonization (or in a more general sense, of oppression) followed by the struggle for independence. But even when he thinks he is out of it, he has to admit that the hell still exists, and that the only way out of it lies through madness. The fact that madness is metaphorically linked with the sea may, along with other indications, show that madness is a kind of liberation, a flight to heaven.L 'enfer et la folie, un court poème paru dans l'anthologie de la nouvelle poésie algérienne de Jean Sénac, est analysé sans référence à l'auteur, ni au reste de son œuvre.
The main aim of this study is to question the process of putting into theatrical discourse the perspective opened by the pragmatics and enunciative theory. We propose a reflection on the functioning of discursive mechanisms and the construction of the textual world of theatrical genre intended for children through the identification of linguistic and non-linguistic means provided by the author to guide the interpretation. Also through the different discursive mechanisms that accompany and manage the whole operation of putting into discourse namely the implicit, intertextuality, dialogism and the functioning of illocutory acts to deduce the morality underlying the children’s play : the wings of Namoula ""أجنحة نمولة by Youcef Baaloudj. Results show that the accentuation of the use of illocutory acts by the characters of the piece as well as the different forms of intertextuality. This is in the songs repeated by the characters and the implicit incorporation of the tale of The Cicada and the Ant then the explicit integration of the tale The Rabbit and the Turtle.

Evaluation of Food Security Developments in the Arab Countries: An Analysis Based on Global food security Indicators (2010–2022)
This paper evaluates the developments in food security across Arab countries during the period 2010–2022, drawing on the four dimensions outlined in the Global Food Security Index: availability, affordability, quality and safety, and resilience. The study highlights the critical role of food security in achieving economic and social stability, particularly in a region highly exposed to external shocks, climate change, and geopolitical tensions. Despite notable progress in some areas, the findings reveal persistent disparities among Arab countries, especially in terms of affordability and resilience. The analysis also underscores the importance of sustainable agricultural practices, investment in infrastructure, and enhanced regional cooperation to ensure long-term food security. Based on the results, the study offers a set of policy recommendations to strengthen food systems, improve nutritional outcomes, and reduce vulnerability to future crises

Healing Trauma through Confession in Aristotelian Catharsis: a Discourse Analysis of Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis (1905)
This paper looks at the connection between trauma and Aristotelian catharsis through the lens of Oscar Wilde\u27s De Profundis (1905), which is a work of confessional writing. Traditionally, catharsis is derived from tragedy, instead this study suggests that prose confession can also exhibit a purgative effect by facing and expressing emotional pain. Employing trauma theory and standard concepts of catharsis, the analysis indicates that Wilde\u27s text constitutes both a personal reckoning and a literary space for emotional release. De Profundis demonstrates how writing can turn a traumatic experience into an instrument to heal for both the author and the reader through the mimetic and affective power of narrativ
Understanding digital bubbles amidst the COVID-19 pandemic: Evidence from DeFi and NFTs()()
This paper investigates digital financial bubbles amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a sample of 9 DeFi tokens, 3 NFTs, Bitcoin, and Ethereum, we detect several bubbles overlapping the examined cryptoassets. We also uncover DeFi and NFT-specific bubbles in Summer 2020 suggesting distinct driving factors for this class of assets. We document that DeFi and NFTs bubbles are less recurrent but have higher magnitudes than cryptocurrencies’ bubbles. We also find that COVID-19 and trading volume exacerbate bubble occurrences, while Total Value Locked (TVL) is negatively associated with cryptoassets’ bubbles. Our results suggest that TVL can be used as a tool for market monitoring
The Black Swan – Knowing the Unknown in Projects
AbstractA “Black Swan” is produced when the gap between what we know and what we think we know becomes dangerously wide (Taleb, 2007). This concept is closely related to uncertainty and learning. A Black Swan event is usually a surprise, at least to the observer. However the Black Swan event very much depends on the observer. What may be a Black Swan surprise for a turkey is not a Black Swan surprise to its butcher; so the main objective is to “avoid being the turkey” by exploring and identifying areas of vulnerability in order to avoid surprises. In projects, while some may disagree, almost all failures, even catastrophic ones, are not really Black Swan events but a series of failures that alone may have a negative impact on project outcomes but combined lead to catastrophic failure. However it is surprising how often experienced project teams ignore the early warning signs and move forward into the project lifecycle despite serious problems in many areas that are keys to project success. This will ultimately lead to the Black Swan event materializing. That is when it is too late to take any preventive actions. This paper will characterize the Black Swan concept in projects and describe its nature and identify organizational mechanisms that can be useful in dealing with Black Swan surprises in projects. This study is mainly based on literature study, however carries out an assessment on examples of Black Swan events in order to better clarify the concept under study
A framework for design, modeling, and identification of compliant biomimetic swimmers
Thesis (S.M.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, 2008.This electronic version was submitted by the student author. The certified thesis is available in the Institute Archives and Special Collections.Includes bibliographical references (p. 121-126).Research interests in fish-like devices are generally driven by the notion that through eons of evolution fish have developed optimal mechanisms for efficient propulsion and high degrees of maneuverability. Engineered fish-like devices have been developed in hope of mimicking the capabilities of their biological counterparts, but success has been marginal. This thesis considers a unique class of underactuated biomimetic swimmers with compliant bodies that swim by exploiting their structural dynamics. Practical matters surrounding the design and modeling of these swimmers are addressed and explicit references are made to fish morphology and swimming behaviours with the aim of linking biological and engineering design elements, a deficiency in existing literature. A hybrid modeling scheme is presented drawing upon conventional engineering primitives and experimental data. Both a hardware prototype swimmer and a unique motion capture system were developed to demonstrate the described methods. Experimental and simulated results are compared.by Adam Joseph Wahab.S.M
