International Workshop on Wireless Networks: Communication, Cooperation and Competition

    No full text
The workshop promotes the applications of new methodologies in the field of telecommunications with the aim of providing the participants advanced and innovative tools able to catch the fundamental dynamics of complex interactions. It fosters the presentation of new cooperative protocols and new schemes for resource allocation, novel results in the investigation of the theoretical limits and fundamental tradeoffs between competition and cooperation. The applications can steam from any wireless scenario, from multicell networks to sensor and relay networks, cognitive radio or ad hoc network. In fact, object of the workshop is to provide the participant with a comprehensive, thorough, and unified vision of the resource allocation issue in complex multiuser and multiprovider networks regulated by cooperation and competition

The International ITG/IEEE Workshop on Smart Antennas (WSA 2007) provides a forum for presentation of the most recent research on smart antennas. The objective is to continue, accelerate, and broaden the momentum already gained with a series of ITG Workshops held since 199

European Workshop on Broadband Femtocell Networks

    No full text
Recent years have witnessed an increasing demand for mobile wireless traffic due to the new types of user terminal and applications. The delivery of high throughput at cell edge, indoor and dead-spots is still a challenge. This has motivated the introduction of femtocells in 3G, LTE and WiMAX networks, initially targeting deployments in residential and corporate environment, to get better indoor voice and data coverage, whilst offloading at the same time macrocell traffic and promising to be a cost-effective solution. Femtocells are called to be an integral part of high-performance next-generation wireless systems, while keeping the seamless connectivity and mobility of conventional cellular networks. This workshop aims at covering the different technical challenges to which femtocell deployments are confronted
