    Analysis of solutions for managing LED or LCD screens

    Danes nas zasloni vseh vrst spremljajo že praktično na vsakem koraku. Zaslone uporabljamo kot orodje za posredovanje podatkov na vizualni način. Vedno več podjetij želi svoje procese digitalizirati s pomočjo poslovnih zaslonov, vendar ne vedo točno, kaj potrebujejo. V magistrskem delu smo se osredotočili predvsem na velike poslovne zaslone, ki so primerni za različna podjetja in razno industrijo. Danes uporabljajmo velike zaslone predvsem za informiranje in oglaševanje v različnih okoljih. Ker pa se okolja med seboj zelo razlikujejo, potrebujemo tudi različne zaslone in sisteme za upravljanje. Magistrsko delo bralcu nudi pregled in poglobljeno razumevanje o LED in LCD zaslonih ter načinih upravljanja le teh. V magistrskem delu smo uspešno vzpostavili več sistemov za upravljanje ter enega izmed njih vpeljali v realno okolje. Upoštevali smo tudi vpliv zaslonov na cestno-prometno varnost. Vsako okolje ima svoje specifike, ki jih je treba obravnavati individualno, ena rešitev, ki bi bila najboljša za vse, žal ne obstaja.Today, screens of all kinds accompany us practically everywhere. We use screens as a tool to convey information visually. An increasing number of companies want to digitize their processes using business screens, but they don\u27t exactly know what they need for their specific installation. In our master\u27s thesis, we primarily focused on large business screens suitable for various companies and industries. Today, we use large screens primarily for information and advertising in different environments. However, since environments vary greatly, we also need different screens and management systems for specific environment. The master\u27s thesis provides the reader with an overview and in-depth understanding of LED and LCD screens and their management methods. In the master\u27s thesis, we successfully established multiple management systems, and one of them was implemented in a real environment. We also considered the impact of screens on road traffic safety. Each environment has its specific characteristics that need to be addressed individually, and there is no one-size-fits-all solution

    OPTIMIZATION OF ORDERING PROCESS BY USE OF ANYLOGIC TOOL

    Glede na številne prednosti, ki jih ponuja računalniška izmenjava podatkov, gre pričakovati, da se je bo vse več podjetij pri svojem poslovanju tudi posluževalo. Dokler niso zagotovljeni in pravilno nastavljeni vsi osnovni parametri, pa lahko pri izmenjavi elektronskih dokumentov nastane več težav kot koristi. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti vnos ter obdelavo prodajnega naloga, prejetega preko RIP (računalniško izmenjavanje podatkov) sistema. Analizo stanja bomo izvedli na primeru partnerske organizacije, ki je zaradi želje po zaupnosti ne moremo imenovati. Dosedanji način naročanja je dokaj preprost in razumljiv, vendar se ob neustreznem vnosu enega izmed matičnih podatkov izkaže kot počasen oz. neučinkovit. Elektronsko naročilo z neustrezno vsebino obvisi v medmrežju in ga mora referent ročno popraviti ter vnesti v sistem. Vse ključne podatke smo beležili in jih z Excelom ustrezno obdelali. S pomočjo orodja Anylogic smo izdelali simulacijo procesa in z njo določili število čakajočih naročil v določenem časovnem obdobju, kakšna je zasedenost zaposlenega ter kakšen je povprečen čas, ki ga naročilo preživi v sistemu. Cilj naloge je ugotoviti upravičenost vpeljave nove aplikacije, kjer bi se hranili vsi matični podatki proizvodov obravnavanega podjetja, ki so pomembni pri procesu naročanja. Zavedamo se, da obravnavano podjetje potrebuje poenoteno bazo, ki bi jo lahko uporabljali tudi drugi ključni kupci, ki jih želi podjetje vključiti v računalniško izmenjavo podatkov. Predlagano rešitev smo s pomočjo simulacije tudi ovrednotili. S prehodom na računalniško izmenjavo naročil se bo izvajalni čas v prodajnem procesu skrajšal, sam poslovni proces pa bo postal hitrejši in preglednejši. Ker rek »Čas je zlato« v sedanjih časih še kako drži, bo skrajšanje izvajalnih časov lahko prineslo določeno prednost pred konkurenco, saj bodo izdelki na prodajnih policah prej in z manj stroška. Celoten postopek bo tako izveden elektronsko, zato bodo odpravljene človeške napake, kar podjetjema predstavlja bolj kakovostno, hitrejšo in bolj pregledno oddajo naročila ter njegovo potrditev.According to many advantages which computer data exchange offers to companies, it is expected that there will be more and more companies who will use its benefit. Until all the basic parameters are not provided and correctly set, there can be more problems than benefits. The aim of the thesis is to present the entry and process of sales order received via EDI system (Electronic Data Interchange). The analysis will based on a partner company which does not want to be appointed. Current method of ordering is quite simple and understandable, but it appears very slow or ineffective when one of the master data proves to be inappropriate. Order with the inappropriate content hangs in the internet and it has to be manually corrected by clerk and entered into the system. All the key data are recorded and processed accordingly with Excel. We will use Anylogic tool to create a simulation of the process. We will try to estimate the number of pending orders in a given period, what is the occupation of the employee and what is the average time that order spends in system. Aim of the project is to determine the eligibility of introduction the new application, where all the master data of our products, which are important in the process of ordering will be saved. We are aware that company needs unified database, which could be used for all other key customers, who will be include in the data exchange. With new form of entering the orders in system we will reduce time of sales process a lot and single sales process will become faster and more transparent. Because we are aware that time is gold, we are also aware that reduction of run-time can also bring us a certain advantage over the competition, because our products will be on the shelves sooner and with less cost. The entire process will be made electronically, therefore all human error will be eliminated. This represent faster, more transparent and higher quality ordering process to both companies

    V diplomskem delu je predstavljen razvoj spletne učilnice v okolju Moodle. Okolje Moodle je bilo za razvoj spletne učilnice izbrano zaradi enostavnosti in pogostosti uporabe v sodobnih učnih okoljih. Moodle učitelju oz. upravljavcu spletne učilnice omogoča preprosto dodajanje dejavnosti in virov, ki jih študenti oz. udeleženci lahko uporabljajo v spletni učilnici. V spletni učilnici je na voljo več različnih dejavnosti, ki omogočajo aktivno vključevanje udeležencev, viri pa predstavljajo gradiva, iz katerih udeleženci črpajo informacije. Uporaba spletne učilnice Moodle je prikazana na konkretnem primeru uporabe v izobraževalnem zavodu. Predstavljeni so postopek namestitve in postopki razvoja posameznega gradnika v učnem okolju.This diploma thesis presents the development of the online classroom with the learning management system (LMS) Moodle. Moodle was chosen to develop the online classroom because of its simplicity and frequency of use in modern learning environments. Moodle enables teachers or the Moodle administrators to easily add activities or resources used by students or participants for learning purposes. Moodle offers many different types of activities which allow a high level of participation. Resources are used by participants to learn more about the subject. The use of Moodle is explained by the example of the use in the educational institution. The work presents the process of installing and procedures of developing each individual widget available in Moodle

    PREPARATION OF E-MATERIAL FOR NEW EMPLOYEES IN THE HOME FOR OLD PEOPLE LJUTOMER

    Organizacije se vse bolj zavedajo pomena izobraževanja zaposlenih. Ustrezno izobraževanje je med drugim pogoj za poslovno uspešnost. Ker pa na trgu vlada velika konkurenca, veliko se vlaga v razvoj, je pomemben vidik vsakega podjetja varčevanje. Zaradi tega smo se odločili, da v diplomskem delu predstavimo alternativo klasičnemu izobraževanju in ponudimo izobraževanje na daljavo na podlagi e-gradiv. Diplomsko delo je razdeljeno na dva dela, teoretični in empirični del. V prvem smo predstavili sistem razvoja kadrov, njegov pomen za organizacijo in zaposlene, na kratko smo opisali sistem izobraževanja kadrov, redne letne razgovore, ocenjevanje delovne uspešnosti, nagrajevanje in napredovanje. Predstavili smo e-izobraževanje in njegovo delitev. V drugem delu diplomske naloge smo nazorno predstavili program CourseLab 2.4 in postopek izgradnje ter uporabe e-gradiva za izobraževanje novozaposlenih oziroma zaposlenih v Domu starejših občanov Ljutomer. Zajeta poglavja se nanašajo na področje kinestetike (pravilno dvigovanje bremen).Organizations are increasingly aware of the importance of education. Adequate education is a prerequisite for business success. However, since the market is strong competitive, high investments in developement is an important aspect for every business savings. For this reason, we have decided to present an alternative to traditional education, which means more spending and offer distance education based on e-learning. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical part. In the first part we present the personnel developement system and its importance for the organisation and employees, we briefly described the system of staff training, regular annual interviews, assess performance, remuneration and promotion. We presented the e-learning and its division. In the second part of the thesis, we presented the program CourseLab 2.4 and the process of constructing it and use of e-learning materials for the training of new employees or employees of the Institution of senior citizens Ljutomer.     Reingeneering of an iot platform for solar plants

    V diplomskem delu je predstavljena rešitev za spremljanje podatkov sončne elektrarne, ki temelji na obstoječi infrastrukturi podjetja. Na začetku je bila v sodelovanju z naročnikom izvedena poslovna analiza, pripravljena poslovna in tehnična dokumentacija, nato pa razvita rešitev, ki vključuje zajem, obdelavo, shranjevanje in vizualizacijo podatkov. Pri implementaciji so bile uporabljene obstoječe interne komponente, kot so TIBCO, Azure Event Hubs, TimescaleDB in Grafana. Sistem podatke zbira preko Fusion Solar API, jih obdela prek IoT platforme in posreduje v BI okolje podjetja. Vizualizacija poteka prek nadzorne plošče v Grafani, ki omogoča enostavno spremljanje stanja elektrarne. Ob zaključku naloge je sistem že deloval in omogočal zanesljivo spremljanje ključnih podatkov, kar operativni ekipi olajšuje vsakodnevno delo in odločanje.The thesis presents a solution for monitoring data from a solar power plant, built on the company’s existing infrastructure. At the beginning, a business analysis was carried out in collaboration with the client, followed by the preparation of business and technical documentation. After that, the solution was developed, covering data collection, processing, storage, and visualization. The implementation made use of existing internal components such as TIBCO, Azure Event Hubs, TimescaleDB, and Grafana. Data is collected via the Fusion Solar API, processed through the IoT platform, and forwarded to the company’s BI environment. The visualization is handled through a Grafana dashboard, which allows for straightforward monitoring of the power plant’s status. By the end of the project, the system was already up and running, reliably tracking key data and helping the operations team with daily tasks and decision-making

    Analysis of the use of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized slovenian enterprises

    Zaključno delo obravnava uporabo umetne inteligence (UI) v malih in srednje velikih podjetjih v Sloveniji. Namen raziskave je bil ugotoviti, v kolikšni meri ta podjetja prepoznavajo pomen umetne inteligence, kako jo vključujejo v svoje poslovne procese ter s kakšnimi izzivi in priložnostmi se pri tem srečujejo. Raziskava je bila izvedena s kvalitativno metodo polstrukturiranih intervjujev, v katerih je sodelovalo deset podjetij različnih dejavnosti in velikosti. Skozi intervjuje so bile zbrane informacije o konkretni uporabi umetne inteligence, področjih uporabe, vrstah orodij, stroških uvajanja ter pogledih vodstva in zaposlenih na uporabo tehnologije. Rezultati so pokazali, da vsa sodelujoča podjetja umetno inteligenco že uporabljajo, vendar v zelo različnem obsegu. Najpogostejše oblike uporabe so bili spletni pogovorni roboti, najpogostejša področja uporabe pa so bila marketing, podpora strank in pomoč pri pisanju računalniške kode ter skript. Ugotovljeno je bilo tudi, da podjetja UI dojemajo kot orodje za povečanje učinkovitosti in konkurenčnosti, vendar so hkrati previdna zaradi vprašanj varnosti, pomanjkanja znanja in nezanesljivosti rezultatov. Kot največja ovira za implementiranje umetne inteligence v raziskana podjetja so bile finance, skrbi glede varnosti in etike ter dejavnost podjetja. Na podlagi rezultatov je bilo ugotovljeno, da umetna inteligenca vstopa v mala in srednje velika slovenska podjetja, vendar trenutno še v zelo omejenem obsegu. Veliko podjetij se še ne zaveda popolnega potenciala, ki ga umetna inteligenca lahko doprinese k podjetju. Zaključno delo tako prispeva k boljšemu razumevanju trenutnega stanja uporabe umetne inteligence v slovenskih podjetjih in opozarja na pomembnost pravočasnega odzivanja na tehnološke spremembe.The thesis explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Slovenia. The aim of the research was to determine to what extent these companies recognize the importance of artificial intelligence, how they integrate it into their business processes, and what challenges and opportunities they face in doing so. The study was conducted using a qualitative method of semi-structured interviews, involving ten companies from various industries and sizes. The interviews collected information about the actual use of artificial intelligence, areas of application, types of tools, implementation costs, and the perspectives of management and employees on the use of the technology. The results showed that all participating companies already use artificial intelligence, but to very different extents. The most common forms of use were online chatbots, and the most frequent areas of application included marketing, customer support, and assistance with writing computer code and scripts. It was also found that companies perceive AI as a tool to increase efficiency and competitiveness, but they remain cautious due to concerns about security, lack of knowledge, and the reliability of results. The main obstacles to implementing AI in the studied companies were financial limitations, concerns about security and ethics, and the specific nature of the industry. Based on the results, it was concluded that artificial intelligence is making its way into Slovenian SMEs, but still on a very limited scale. Many companies are not yet fully aware of the potential that AI can bring to their business.     Automation of reporting on the success of innovation projects and production

    Z uporabo nabora orodij SAP, Tableau in Dremio smo vzpostavili avtomatiziran sistem poročanja o uspešnosti inovacijskih projektov in proizvodnje. Sistem zagotavlja samodejno posodabljanje podatkov v določenih časovnih intervalih, kar podjetju omogoča sproten nadzor nad uspešnostjo novih produktov in učinkovitostjo proizvodnje. Poročanje se v številnih podjetjih še vedno izvaja na principu ročnega dela, zato smo v našem primeru vzpostavili avtomatiziran pretok podatkov, ki se vsak dan samodejno osveži brez dodatnega ročnega dela. Uporabljeni podatki pri izdelavi poročil so pridobljeni od anonimnega proizvodnega podjetja in primarno izvirajo iz SAP ERP sistema. Dremio strežnik predstavlja vmesni podatkovni sloj, kjer se podatki pripravijo za uvoz na Tableau. V Tableau Desktop orodju smo ustvarili dve poročili z ustreznimi vizualizacijami in jih objavili na Tableau Cloud ter nastavili interval avtomatičnega posodabljanja podatkov. Vzpostavljen sistem omogoča boljše spremljanje uspešnosti, hitrejše odločanje ter zmanjšanje napak, ki so pogosto posledica ročne obdelave.With the use of SAP, Tableau and Dremio tools, we established an automated reporting system for monitoring the success of innovation projects and production. The system ensures automatic data updating at specified time intervals, which enables the company to monitor the performance of new products and production efficiency in real time. Reporting in many companies is still carried out manually, which is why in our case we established an automated data flow that is refreshed daily without additional manual work. The data used for report preparation was obtained from an anonymous manufacturing company and primarily originates from the SAP ERP system. The Dremio server serves as an intermediary data layer where the data is prepared for import into Tableau. In Tableau Desktop, we created two reports with appropriate visualizations and published them to Tableau Cloud, where we set an automatic data refresh interval. The established system enables better performance monitoring, faster decision-making, and fewer errors, which are often the result of manual processing

    RENOVATION OF STAFF INFORMATION SYSTEM IN THE RETIREMENT HOME IN IDRIJA D.O.O.

    Zaposleni v kadrovskih službah morajo biti sposobni prepoznati, poiskati, ovrednotiti in uporabiti informacije, ki jih potrebujejo. Zadolženi so za sprejemanje strateških odločitev pri izbiri kadrov, ki vplivajo na dolgoročen razvoj kadrov, in za celovito vodenje kadrovskih evidenc za potrebe upravljanja človeških virov. V procesih kadrovanja uporabljajo informacijsko–komunikacijske tehnologije (IKT), s katerimi strokovno obravnavajo in rešujejo morebitne probleme kadrovske politike. V diplomski nalogi smo raziskovali problematiko upravljanja s kadri v Domu upokojencev Idrija (DUI). Za vodenje evidenc o zaposlenih uporabljajo programsko rešitev Kadrovska evidenca, ki pa ne nudi zadostne podpore pri upravljanju z vsemi potrebnimi šifranti in evidencami. Pri raziskavi smo uporabili anketni vprašalnik, s katerim smo raziskovali starost in funkcionalnost programske opreme v domovih upokojencev v Sloveniji. Zaradi zastarelosti programske opreme smo v DUI na podlagi uporabe obstoječega kadrovsko-informacijskega sistema, potreb kadrovske službe in rezultatov anketnih vprašalnikov obstoječo programsko aplikacijo nadomestili z novim modulom. Celovite programske rešitve s posameznimi moduli nam v sedanji informacijski dobi omogočajo ne samo obvladovanje kadrovskega področja, temveč obvladovanje celotnega poslovanja v organizaciji. S SWOT analizo smo preverili smotrnost nakupa novega modula HRM.4 in ugotovili, da je nakup upravičen tako s strani uporabnosti in varnosti kot tudi s strani cene in zmogljivost izdelka.Human resources personnel should be able to identify, locate, evaluate and use information that they need. They are responsible for strategic decisions in the selection of personnel, which affect the long-term development of human resources and comprehensive management of personnel records management needs for human resources. In the human resource processes, they are using information and communications technologies (ICT) to professionally deal and solve potential problems of staff policy. In this thesis, we have studied the problem of human resource management in the Idrija Retirement home Idrija (DUI). For keeping records of employees they use a software solution for personnel records, but it does not provide sufficient support for the management of all the necessary code lists and records. In this study, we used a questionnaire to explore the age and functionality of the software in Slovenian retirement homes. Based on obsolete software, current human resources information system, the needs of the HR department and the results of the questionnaires, the existing software application was replaced with a new module. Comprehensive software solutions with individual modules in the current information age are enabling not only to control area of human resources, but also to control the operations of the organization. The expediency of purchasing a new module HRM.4 was examined with a SWOT analysis where it was established that the purchase is justified from the viewpoint of usability and safety, as well as the price and performance of the new product

    Podjetja dandanes zaradi povečanja odvisnosti od uporabe interneta v poslovnih procesih in zahtev za dostopnost podatkovnih vsebin na daljavo stremijo k uporabi in razvoju spletnih programskih rešitev. Vedno več podjetij za razvoj rešitev uporablja platforme, ki omogočajo malokodno programiranje. Ene izmed največjih prednosti takega razvoja rešitev so hitrejši proces razvoja aplikacij, spodbujanje poslovne agilnosti in omogočanje digitalizacije. Magistrsko delo opisuje proces izdelave aplikacije, ki je zasnovana na infrastrukturi, ki jo uporablja podjetje Generali zavarovalnica, d. d. Opisana programska rešitev omogoča avtomatizacijo velikega števila zahtevkov in procesov za vpogled v osveževanje podatkovnih skladišč, ki jih uporabniki brez tehnične pomoči oddelka IT ne zmorejo sami izvesti. Oddelek IT za reševanje zahtevkov porabi veliko časa, zato smo za razbremenitev oddelka razvili programsko rešitev, ki avtomatizira te procese. Aplikacija preko uporabniškega vmesnika omogoča, da uporabniki želene procese na enostaven način inicializirajo sami.Nowadays, due to the increased dependence on the use of Internet in business processes and the requirement for the availability of remote data access, companies are striving to use and develop online software solutions. More and more companies are developing their solutions by using platforms that enable low-code programming. One of the biggest advantages of such solution development is a faster development process, the promoting of business agility and the enabling of digitization. The master thesis describes the process of creating an application based on the infrastructure used by Generali zavarovalnica d. d. The described software solution for users enables the automation of large numbers of requests and processes for insights into data warehouse refreshes that they cannot perform themselves without the technical assistance of the IT department.
