We report a measurement of the branching fraction of the decay Bs0J/ψϕ(1020)B^0_s\to J/\psi\,\phi(1020), evidence and a branching fraction measurement for Bs0J/ψf2(1525)B^0_s\to J/\psi\,f'_2(1525), and the determination of the total Bs0J/ψK+KB^0_s\to J/\psi\,K^+K^- branching fraction, including the resonant and non-resonant contributions to the K+KK^+K^- channel. We also determine the SS-wave contribution within the ϕ(1020)\phi(1020) mass region. The absolute branching fractions are B[Bs0J/ψϕ(1020)]=(1.25±0.07(stat)±0.08(syst)±0.22(fs))×103\mathcal{B}[B^0_s\to J/\psi\,\phi(1020)]=(1.25 \pm 0.07\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.08\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.22\left(f_s\right))\times 10^{-3}, B[Bs0J/ψf2(1525)]=(0.26±0.06(stat)±0.02(syst)±0.05(fs))×103\mathcal{B}[B^0_s\to J/\psi\,f'_2(1525)]=(0.26\pm 0.06\left(\mathrm{stat}\right)\pm 0.02\left(\mathrm{syst}\right) \pm 0.05\left(f_s\right))\times 10^{-3} and B[Bs0J/ψK+K]=(1.01±0.09(stat)±0.10(syst)±0.18(fs))×103\mathcal{B}[B^0_s\to J/\psi\,K^+K^-] = (1.01\pm 0.09\left(\mathrm{stat}\right) \pm 0.10\left(\mathrm{syst}\right)\pm 0.18\left(f_s\right))\times 10^{-3}, where the last systematic error is due to the branching fraction of bbˉBs()Bs()b\bar{b}\to B^{(*)}_s B^{(*)}_s. The branching fraction ratio is found to be B[Bs0J/ψf2(1525)]/B[Bs0J/ψϕ(1020)]=(21.5±4.9(stat)±2.6(syst))\mathcal{B}[B^0_s\to J/\psi\,f'_2(1525)]/\mathcal{B}[B^0_s\to J/\psi\,\phi(1020)]=(21.5\pm 4.9\left(\mathrm{stat}\right) \pm2.6\left(\mathrm{syst}\right))%. All results are based on a 121.4 fb1^{-1} data sample collected at the Υ(5S)\Upsilon(5S) resonance by the Belle experiment at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ee^+e^- collider

Search for the BY(4260)K, Y(4260)J/ψπ+πB \to Y(4260) K, ~Y(4260) \to J/\psi \pi^+\pi^- decays

International audienceWe report the results of a search for the B→Y(4260)K, Y(4260)→J/ψπ+π- decays. This study is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 711  fb-1, collected at the ϒ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+e- collider. We investigate the J/ψπ+π- invariant mass distribution in the range 4.0 to 4.6  GeV/c2 using both B+→J/ψπ+π-K+ and B0→J/ψπ+π-KS0 decays. We find excesses of events above the background levels, with significances of 2.1 and 0.9 standard deviations for charged and neutral B→Y(4260)K decays, respectively, taking into account the systematic uncertainties. These correspond to upper limits on the product of branching fractions, B(B+→Y(4260)K+)×B(Y(4260)→J/ψπ+π-)<1.4×10-5 and B(B0→Y(4260)K0)×B(Y(4260)→J/ψπ+π-)<1.7×10-5 at the 90% confidence level

Liquid entrainment and off-take through the break at the top of a vessel

In order to determine the bleed capacity of the safety depressurization system (SDS) of Advanced Power Reactor 1400 (APR1400) in the case of total loss of feed water (TLOFW), we performed an experimental study of liquid entrainment and liquid off-take from the swelled two-phase mixture surface in a vessel. A total of 220 experimental data on the entrainment and off-take are obtained using a test vessel with a height of 2.0 m and an inner diameter of 0.3 m and a top break with a diameter of 0.05 m. Two-phase mixture levels are measured by an ultrasonic sensor within +/- 1.77% with respect to the visual level data. Droplet entrainment data are obtained with and without the top break and are compared with the existing pool entrainment data. The present droplet entrainment data have higher values than the existing pool entrainment data due to (a) the pulling toward the break of the liquid deentrained on the top wall of the vessel and (b) gas acceleration in the vicinity of the break. In the present experiment, droplet entrainment, E-fg, strongly depends upon j(g)(*)/h* and is proportional to the seventh power of j(g)(*)/h* in the same way as the off-take data. The empirical correlation for the onset of off-take is developed in terms of the Froude number (Fr-g) at the break and the non-dimensional inception height (h(b)/d). This correlation shows agreement with the present experimental data within +/- 15%. The present off-take quality data show agreement with Schrock's off-take quality correlation with the rms error of 15.8%. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved

No full text
We report the observation of B-→J/ψΛp̄ and searches for B-→J/ψΣ0p̄ and B0→J/ψpp̄ decays, using a sample of 275×106 BB̄ pairs collected with the Belle detector at the Υ(4S) resonance. We observe a signal of 17.2±4.1 events with a significance of 11.1σ and obtain a branching fraction of B(B-→J/ψΛp̄)=11.6±2.8(stat)-2.3+1.8(sys)×10-6. No signal is found for either of the two decay modes, B-→J/ ψΣ0p̄ and B0→J/ψpp̄, and upper limits for the branching fractions are determined to be B(B-→J/ψΣ0p̄)<1. 1×10-5 and B(B0→J/ψpp̄)<8.3×10-7 at 90% confidence level. © 2005 The American Physical Society.LPH

We report the observation of B-s(0) -> J/psi f(0(980)) and evidence for B-s(0) -> J/psi f(0)(1370), which are CP eignstate decay modes. These results are obtained from 121.4 fb(-1) of data collected at the Y(5S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider. We measure the branching fractions B(B-s(0) -> J/psi f(0)(980); f(0)(980) -> pi(+)pi(-)) = (1.16(-0.19)(+0.31)(stat)(-0.17)(+0.15)(syst)(-0.18)(+0.26)(N-Bs(*)(B) over bars(*))) X 10(-4) with a significance of 8.4 sigma, and B(B-s(0) -> j/psi f(0)(1370); f(0)(1370) -> pi(+)pi(-)) = (0.34(-0.14)(+0.11)(stat)(-0.02)(+0.03)(syst)(-0.05)(+0.08) (N-Bs(*)(B) over bars(*))) X 10(-4) with a significance of 4.2 sigma.     {Measurement of the B+/B0 production ratio in e+e- collisions at the \Upsilon{}(4S) resonance using B\textrightarrow{}J/\ensuremath{\psi}(\ensuremath{\ell}\ensuremath{\ell})K decays at Belle}

No full text
We measure the ratio of branching fractions for the Υ(4S) decays to B+B- and B0B ̄0 using B+→J/ψ(ll)K+ and B0→J/ψ(ll)K0 samples, where J/ψ(ll) stands for J/ψ→l+l- (l=e or μ), with 711 fb-1 of data collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector. We find the decay rate ratio of Υ(4S)→B+B- over Υ(4S)→B0B ̄0 to be 1.065±0.012±0.019±0.047, which is the most precise measurement to date. The first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively, and the third uncertainty is due to the assumption of isospin symmetry in B→J/ψ(ll)K
