Hypania invalida Grube
Hypania invalida (Grube) Amphicteis invalida Grube, 1860 Hypania invalida occidentalis Ostroumov, 1897 Ecology: FW, ST Distribution: PA Habitat: LR, ES, SL Comments: This species has been particularly successful in colonising various types of fresh and brackish water habitats in Europe. It is one of four ponto-caspian species belonging to Hypania or related genera including H. antiqua, which is often considered to be a junior synonym of H. invalida; the group is in need of revision.
