Curtis to his brother about their property. He also expresses his opinion of the Whig party, specifically President John Tyler. Curtis, also a member of the Whig party, has become disheartened by the actions of President Tyler.Biographical/Historical Note: John Tyler was a member of the Whig party and the tenth President of the United States following the death of President William Henry Harrison. He served from 1841 to 1845

Men are gathered on the steps of White Hall, watching boys ride bicycles. Two of the men gathered by the steps on sitting on their bicycles. Parked to the right of White Hall is a car. To the left of White Hall is Flora B. Curtis Hall, a dormitory for girls. This building also has a brick edifice and a columned entranceway. The entranceway has a sign on the roof which reads Flora B. Curtis Hall. Many trees can be seen in the photograph. On the back of the image is written, Bldg ext; White Hall Administration bldg.
