Globalization in Reverse: The Missing Link in Energy Consumption
We present a theoretical framework that demonstrates the globalization as a beneficial trend which fosters the movement of advanced technology from developed nations to developing countries leading to the deployment of large scale energy projects on renewable technologies We explore the implications of this framework with panel data and vector autoregressive VAR analyses These suggest that an increase in social globalization which accounts for the spread of know-how skilled workers and technology by 1 percent reduces the energy consumption by roughly 21 percent This lead to increasing the employment of clean and renewable energy sources through the attainment of technological efficiency However substantial increase in traditional energy demand from developing countries suggests the trend of anti-globalizatio

Kvalifikācijas darba tēma: Mazo folkloras formu nozīme jaunākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu runas attīstībā Kvalifikācijas darba autors: Svetlana Tarana Kvalifikācijas darba vadītājs: Asoc.prof., Dr.psyh Valentīna Romenkova Kvalifikācijas darba mērķis: teorētiski izpētīt un praktiski pārbaudīt jaunākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu runas attīstības iespējas ar mazo folkloras formu palīdzību. Pētījuma teorētiskā daļa balstās uz D.Lieginieces, R.Bošas, I.Freibergas, D.Dzinteres, I.Miltiņas, D.Elkoņina, R.Ņemova, Ž.Piaže un Z.Anspokas zinātniskajām atziņām. Par to liecina atkārtoti veiktie bērnu novērojumi. Pētījuma hipotēze: jaunākā pirmsskolas vecuma bērnu runas attīstība būs veiksmīga, ja: -folkloras materiālus izmanto ne tikai runas attīstības nodarbībās, bet arī visā mācību procesā; -folklora aktīvi tiek izmantota visos dienas rites momentos; -skolotājas rosina, stimulē un kontrolē folkloras darbu izmantošanu – apstiprinājās. Author of the qualification work: Svetlana Tarana Head of Qualification: Assoc.prof., Dr.psyh Valentina Romenkova The aim of the qualification work is: to investigate theoretically and test the younger preschoolers' children's speech with the help of small folklore forms. The theoretical part of the research is based on the scientific findings of D.Lieginiece, R. Bosch, I.Freeberg, D.Dzinteres, I.Miltina, D.Elkonin, R.Nemova, J.Piaget and Z. Anspoka. The theoretical part of the paper describes the development of the speech of pre-school children, as well as the pre-school age children’s peculiarities of development of the speech. Small forms of folklore are characterized - adages, proverbs, riddles, limericks. The analysis of the pre-school children's speech through the help of small folklore forms in various day-to-day rituals – rise in the morning, greeting rituals, playful lessons, etc. In the practical part of the research, pedagogical observation’s criteria for children were developed, initial childhood observation was carried out in order to get an idea of the children's ability to listen and understand, to utter adages, proverbs, riddles, limericks, and brief description of the children observed. Three role-play lesson plans and several pedagogical situations were developed. By regularly working with children, involving folklore in everyday routine, it is possible for both children to discuss different issues of moral behaviour, to introduce the different types of folklore more closely and to develop and enrich the language of the children. This is evidenced by the repeated observation of children. Study hypothesis: The development of the younger preschool children's speech will be successful if: - folklore materials are used not only in speech development classes, but also throughout the teaching process; - folklore assets are used at all day's regime; - teachers encourage, stimulate and control the use of folklore works – was confirmed. Prevalence of Diabetes among Adults and Risk Factors Associated With High Diabetes Prevalence in the United Arab Emirates: A Systematic Review
Abstract: Introduction: The widespread presence or prevalence of diabetes mellitus type 2 is increasing rapidly in the United Arab Emirates. An individual person with diabetes mellitus may get greater exposure for the complications in later life. It is known as the non-communicable modern epidemic which has become a global threat .The aim is to understand the high prevalence of diabetes mellitus type 2 and the effect of its risk factors among adults in the United Arab Emirates.
Research design and methodology: We searched four electronic databases such as Medline Complete, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus and suggested literature from experts also assessed. The searching keywords are prevalence, epidemiology, diabetes mellitus type 2, risk factors, modifiable risk factors, non-modifiable risk factors, population at risk, UAE, United Arab Emirates. One hundred fifty six articles found after primary search and eight articles were selected for the final review.
Results: This research results revealed the prevalence varied in different parts of the UAE such as in the Northern Emirates (19.1%-25.1%), in Dubai (12.4%-14.7%) and (19.0%-19.3%) among adult residents and citizens, in Al Ain the (18.8%-40.7%) among residents. The factors such as aging >35 years among citizens and (41-60, 61 plus) among residents, obesity (BMI >30 for Arabs and Europeans and >27 for Asians), central obesity (>102 cm in men and >88 cm in women for Arabs and Europeans, > 90 cm in men and >80 cm in women for Asians), positive family history of diabetes mellitus type 2, ethnicity, suffering from dyslipidemia and hypertension, less physical activity, duration of staying in the UAE more than 10 years, unhealthy diet, being single (widow, separated, divorced) and stress were positively associated with high prevalence.
Conclusion: The results considered planning for early screening, intervention, health resources allocation to pursue specific approaches to reduce high prevalence.

This study investigates the volatility dynamics and time-varying correlations between Bitcoin (BTC) and major financial and commodity markets, including gold, oil, NASDAQ, NIKKEI, FTSE, DAX, and the U.S. Dollar Index (USDINX). Using daily data and GARCH-family models, we quantify persistence, asymmetry, and mediumterm memory in BTC volatility. Model selection using loglikelihood, SIC, and AIC criteria identifies EGARCH asthe best model for capturing conditional variance behavior. We then employ a DCC-MGARCH framework to estimate evolving cross-market correlations. Results indicate that BTC volatility is highly persistent, exhibits stronger reactions to negative shocks, and shows moderate mean reversion. Gold displays the lowest persistence, confirming its role as a stable diversifier. DCC-MGARCH estimates reveal weak positive BTC-Gold correlations, negative BTC-USDINX correlations, and no significant BTC-Oil or BTC-DAX linkages, implying substantial diversification potential. Notably, BTC-NIKKEI correlations strengthened during the COVID-19 period, while BTC-Gold correlations modestly increased. These findings underscore the importance of dynamic portfolio strategies, as optimal weights shift in response to evolving conditional covariances, rendering static allocations suboptimal. For policymakers, volatility persistence and correlation thresholds can inform leverage and exposure limits, particularly when the linkages between BTC and traditional assets intensify.
