Multi-omics “upstream analysis” of regulatory genomic regions helps identifying targets against methotrexate resistance of colon cancer
AbstractWe present an “upstream analysis” strategy for causal analysis of multiple “-omics” data. It analyzes promoters using the TRANSFAC database, combines it with an analysis of the upstream signal transduction pathways and identifies master regulators as potential drug targets for a pathological process. We applied this approach to a complex multi-omics data set that contains transcriptomics, proteomics and epigenomics data. We identified the following potential drug targets against induced resistance of cancer cells towards chemotherapy by methotrexate (MTX): TGFalpha, IGFBP7, alpha9-integrin, and the following chemical compounds: zardaverine and divalproex as well as human metabolites such as nicotinamide N-oxide
Archaeological heritage of Tatarstan and the issues of its study and preservation
© 2019 Tatarstan Academy of Sciences (TAS). The author considers the issues of study and preservation of such important cultural heritage sites as archaeological monuments. A total of over 5 thousand monuments have been identified and examined in Tatarstan, and they represent a vast source of information on the history of people inhabiting the territory of the Middle Volga region. The author have determined the directions for preservation of the archaeological heritage for our descendants and their introduction into contemporary life. State historical and cultural expert review conducted in the area of earthworks during construction, restoration, reconstruction, oil and gas development activities have allowed to bring the preservation of archaeological heritage to a higher level. International principles for the cultural heritage preservation are being actively implemented

Application of Vibration Isolators with a Low Stiffness for the Strongly Vibrating Equipment
AbstractThe paper dwells upon vibration isolators with a low or quasi-zero stiffness. They can provide a low natural frequency less than 1Hz. Different materials for manufacturing were analyzed. Various vibration isolators with quasi-zero stiffness with operating load from 1kg to 1000kg have been calculated. The scheme of installation of invented vibration isolator with a quasi-zero stiffness is offered. Calculations of the working lifetime for a vibration isolator were conducted

Problems of Bashkir novels of the 1950s and 1960s
The article describes the development of the Bashkir prose in the 1950s–1960s against the backdrop of socio-historical changes during the "thaw", increased attention to man as a personality. Through the analysis of the principles of realistic reflection, the study of genre and stylistic features and the identification of problems of large epic forms, the study revealeda tendency of the gradual transition of Bashkir novelism from sociological research to psychologically reliable depiction of the spiritual world of contemporaries. The humanistic nature of the Bashkir literature of the 1960s was manifested in attention to the individual, development of new personality traits, high spiritual and moral relations between people. The novels of the 1950s–1960s raised problems of the then reality and achieved significant success in depicting full-blooded, life-like typical characters, individual images. The writers paid close attention to the inner world, the psychological portrait (“May Rain” and “Wild Rose Flower” by A. Valeev, “Generous Land” by D. Islamov, “People of Long Roads” by N. Musin, “How the Stars Light up” by Y. Khammatov, “Eagles do not leave nests” by Y. Valeeva, “Night on the New Moon” by G. Ibragimov, “I do not promise you paradise” by A. Bikchentaeva and others
