Identifying and Analyzing the Latent Cyber Threats in Developing Economies
No full textInternet usage has increased significantly across developing economies in last decade and most of the enterprises are extensively reliable on computer networks for electronic mails to payment gateways. But, the scenario we live in today has become more and more connected, sophisticated and risk-prone to our network-delivered society. Nevertheless, it remains critical for enterprises to exploit the full potential of available technologies such as mobile computing, smart computing and cloud computing. A cyber security related gaffe in any of these rapidly emerging domains may lead to lost productivity and grave concerns to the enterprise. The chapter highlights the various concerns associated to cyber security, viz., how an attack may be operated and offered measures to secure the network and information technology resources within and outside the enterprise. In most of the developing economies no synchronized activities in this regard are taking place which opens the opportunity to cyber criminals intrude into the system and compromise the resources.</jats:p

The present study is an attempt to highlight the training need analysis approach and its applicability. Further, it focuses on the application of information and communication technology tools to analyze the data patterns during training need. ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) approach has been chosen to explore the correlation between techniques/ approaches of training need analysis and evaluation of training program for n=100. The respondents have been surveyed to express their views on five levels of ADDIE Model. Further, an association has been explored between the demographics of trainers and design & development process of the training programs

No full textTo sustain the growing competition by the domestic players and the international players, these firms are implementing customer service standards to be wary of adopting easily achievable performance standards. But setting standards at unrealistically low levels will not help to establish a competitive advantage. Emphasis on total quality or on creation of the perfect order are very critical to any acceptable quality level set below 100%; the firm should develop customer service policies and standards through customer consultation; the firm should develop procedures to measure, monitor, and control the customer service quality called for by the firm's performance measures and standards. The chapter discusses the various tools, techniques, and highlights the critical success factors for a logistic firm by studying the five top-most logistics organizations on the globe. </jats:p
