Die ersten deutschen übersetzungen gedichte von Athanasios Christopoulos (1821,1822)
No full textNo abstract Als erster übersetzte Anastasios Emmanuel Pappas (Wien 1821) Gedichte von Athanasios Christopoulos ins Deutsche. Es folgt die Übersetzung von nur neun Gedichten des Christopoulos durch Gustav Schwab, die im «Morgenblatt für gebildete Stände» am Anfang des Jahres (Januar-Februar) 1822 veröffentlicht wird. Die interessante Frage dabei ist, ob Schwab die ersten Übersetzungen des Pappas gekannt hat. In einem Exemplar, welches sich in der Landesbibliothek Stuttgart befindet und wahrscheinlich das einzige in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland ist, wird aufgrund zweier handgeschriebener Notizen und zweier Unterschriften auf den Seiten 2 und 3 des Buches nachge wiesen, daß Schwab für seine Übertragung die entsprechenden Übersetzungen der neun Gedichte des Christopoulos von Anastasios Emmanuel Pappas benützt hat und von ihnen beeinflußt wurde. Es folgt die Biographie von Gustav Schwab, der wegen seiner Stellung als Philologe und Dichter und wegen seiner Wirksamkeit zusammen mit Theodor Wagner, den Geschwistern Boisserée und Albert Schott viel zur Wiedergeburt der griechischen Kultur in Württemberg beigetragen hat. Dann werden die Übersetzungen von Schwab mit dem griechischen Text wieder veröffent licht, der mit demjenigen von Anastasios Pappas und dem philologischen Text von Helene Tsantsanoglou (Athen 1970) verglichen wird. Den Abschluß bildet ein Vergleich dieser beiden Übersetzungen, eine Darstellung der Übereinstimmungen und Verschiedenheiten und damit zugleich auch eine Bewertung derselben.
Governance networks in politics
No full textIn this chapter Dimitris Christopoulos provides an overview of governance networks in politics. Governance is examined both as a generative process to political structure as well as the product of political relations. The author outlines key parameters for capturing network properties of political action with a particular focus on political power and decision making. Of particular interest are the mechanisms through which agent relations affect power structures and the impact this has on governance outcomes. The key claim is that governance network topology is shaped by structural parameters, such as centralization levels as well as political structure, such as the rules of interaction among agents. The author argues that studies of governance ideally combine a focus on the quality of agent interactions, their political resources, resource transfers, power hierarchies, and actor values.</p

No full textTerrestrial reptiles are threatened by numerous anthropogenic activities, including agriculture. Many agricultural methods and techniques affect the herpetofauna located in the oldest known tree crops in the Mediterranean Basin, olive trees. For the first time, we present a case of unintentional capture (and killing) of 12 snake-eyed skinks Ablepharus kitaibelii (Bibron & Bory de Saint-Vincent, 1833) on an insect control sticky trap in an olive grove in central Greece.
