Memo sent from Captain Hugh T. Fullerton, Assistant Adjutant General, regarding the use of tourist sleeper accomodations for mass removal. The tourist sleeper accomodations were left up to the discretion of the U. S. Public Health Service.The War Relocation Authority (WRA), together with the Wartime Civil Control Administration (WCCA), the Civil Affairs Division (CAD) and the Office of the Commanding General (OFG) of the Western Defense Command (WDC) operated together to segregate and house some 110,000 men women and children from 1942 to 1945. The collection contains documents and photographs relating to the establishment and administrative workings of the (WDC), the (WRA) and the (WCCA) for the year 1942

Copy of statement from the Assistant Adjutant General to the Commissioner of Pensions regarding the service of Captain Noah Hart of the 10th Michigan Infantry. Dated January 26, 1887. Details time Hart was present and time he was sick and/or on leave. Hart suffered sunstroke at the Battle of Peach Tree Creek on July 20, 1864. Hart lost the use of his right arm after the battle. Hart later suffered greater paralysis and became unable to work, and requested an increase in his military pension

This is an item from the William Crawford Gorgas papers. This collection includes material created by and written about Gorgas, as well as material created by other Gorgas family members. His diaries and journals illuminate his life and work for the U.S. Army as a surgeon and span the years he worked in Cuba and Panama. The collection includes official reports and other documents Gorgas wrote and collected, as well as articles and other publications written about Gorgas and his work in sanitation and disease prevention, particularly yellow fever. Correspondence, articles, and other items document the numerous awards and tributes Gorgas received during his life and memorials after his death in 1920. In addition to William Crawford Gorgas material, the collection includes other material belonging to Gorgas family members including Marie Gorgas and their daughter, Aileen Gorgas Wrightson. In 1924, his widow Marie Gorgas published William Crawford Gorgas: His Life and Work. This collection includes manuscripts, galley proofs, and published versions of her work
