A Blockchain-Based Smart Contract System for Healthcare Management

    No full text
Blockchain is evolving to be a secure and reliable platform for secure data sharing in application areas such as the financial sector, supply chain management, food industry, energy sector, internet of things and healthcare. In this paper, we review existing literature and applications available for the healthcare system using blockchain technology. Besides, this work also proposes multiple workflows involved in the healthcare ecosystem using blockchain technology for better data management. Different medical workflows have been designed and implemented using the ethereum blockchain platform which involves complex medical procedures like surgery and clinical trials. This also includes accessing and managing a large amount of medical data. Within the implementation of the workflows of the medical smart contract system for healthcare management, the associated cost has been estimated for this system in terms of a feasibility study which has been comprehensively presented in this paper. This work would facilitate multiple stakeholders who are involved within the medical system to deliver better healthcare services and optimize cost

Design and development of smart contract system for blockchain based applications

    No full text
The work presented in this thesis describes the design and development of smart contract system for blockchain based applications. The main objective is to investigate the current state of blockchain technology and its implementations and to reveal how main principles of this disruptive technology can reshape "business as normal" activities. This work examines the Blockchain technology as a whole and addresses its potential for the development of distributed applications. Blockchain based smart contract system for different applications that demonstrate a streamlined access management system using Ethereum blockchain has been designed and implemented. Ethereum reinforces the second gen of blockchain technology by providing an open and global computing/environment platform allowing for the exchange of cryptocurrency (Ether) and the creation of self-verified smart contract applications. Smart contracts provide a framework for the ownership of digital assets and a range of distributed applications in the blockchain region. Ethereum and smart contracts are open, decentralized and unalterable, as such, they are susceptible to vulnerabilities that arise from developers ' simple coding errors. We have designed and implemented smart contract system for blockchain based applications across healthcare management to Facilitate Medical Ecosystems and Energy systems to increase energy efficiency by designing smart contract system for energy-saving certificates. We also identified key themes, developments and emerging areas of healthcare and energy research. In this thesis, blockchain technology has been applied in areas such as healthcare and Energy sector. Healthcare applications are the main contribution of this thesis and the work on the Energy systems reflects as an additional contribution of this thesis. Hopefully the work presented in this thesis will give enough motivation towards developing distributed applications (ĐApps) using blockchain based smart contract system

Spectrofluorimetric determination of doxepin hydrochloride in commercial dosage forms via ion pair complexation with alizarin red S

    No full text
AbstractA simple and sensitive spectrofluorimetric method has been developed for the determination of doxepin hydrochloride in pharmaceutical preparations. It is based on the formation of ion-pair complex between doxepin and alizarin red S at pH 3.09. The ion pair complex was extracted in dichloromethane and the fluorescence intensity was measured at 560nm after excitation at 490nm. The optimum conditions for determination were also investigated. The linear range and detection limit were found to be 2–14 and 0.55μg/ml, respectively. The method has been successfully applied for the analysis of drug in commercial dosage forms. No interference was observed from common pharmaceutical adjuvant. Statistical comparison of the results obtained by the proposed method with that of the reference method shows excellent agreement and indicates no significant difference in accuracy and precision

This paper presents the development and implementation of a low-cost smart meter. The smart meter is one of the major components of the distribution network. Theproposed low-cost smart meter is compared with already existing smart metersdeployed in the market. The comparison metrics involve cost, security, installation, and lifetime. In this study, we have presented the market segment and the beachheadmarket of the proposed product. The TAM size is calculated for better marketanalysis by calculating the overall customer size. A complete proposed process flowis explained for cost saving comparison, along with a complete market survey. In thispaper, the whole technology and hardware needed for the low-cost smart meter isexplained in detail along with the total cost of testing and installation.</div

oai:ojs2.journals.scopua.com:article/33Elementary Education has a key importance in the provision of education in a country. In Pakistan, since 1947 up to now, in each educational policy and plan, different actions have been set to take for the development of the Elementary Education system. In the present study, the main focus is to examine the actions and achievements that are set for elementary education. The current investigation revolves around the chronological development of Elementary Education in Pakistan. Here, the discussion about the provision of elementary education is presented side by side, as different plans and policies have been presented. The majority of outcomes describe those five-year plans and policies that are presented in different regimes but were not executed and applied in education. The way to gain progress is only hidden in the implementation of these objectives in a true sense, like well well-developed educational system of the world. This paper also highlights the importance of the historical development of plans and their role in the provision of quality education, especially at the elementary level of a country. In the end, this paper recommends some considerations for the betterment of the situation
