    Abstract: This article focuses on the distinctive perspective of [cultural] commodification of traditional art “wayang topeng malanganâ€. The distinctive perspective tries to comprehend the causality of [cultural] commodification and considers the struggle and planning of padepokan Asmoro Bangun. This writing aims to show a particular and significant model of modest scale (small) padepokan located around city and does not, regain popularity as a tourism playground yet. This article was written under the result of interviewing some central figures including the leader of padepokan Asmoro Bangun, Tri Handoyo, Raymond Paays  as an art critics, and Edi Wibowo as a mask crafters. Participate-observation and document analysis were conducted to complete and find alternative data. The result of this research showed that [cultural] commodification can be positive. The causality of [cultural] commodification is caused by the consideration to put the maintenance of wayang topeng malangan as the most vital problem, rather than its change.     This paper is constructed based on the research about the effect of the English camp program to the students’ interest on learning English. English Camp is also known as ‘Kampung Inggris’. This research is held in Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah) Al-Itihad Poncokusumo Malang, East Java. English kampong is the term adapted from the program famously- exist in Pare Kediri, East Java. Look at the big intention of people in East Java on following English short course in Pare, then became an inspirational system to the researcher on adapting the system but in different method that; English Camp is held in school. Therefore, with the method students will be easily increase their language competence by following English Camp in their school without hard effort. On this research will be explained some research result in-correlation to the English Camp held in M.A Al-Itihad Poncokusumo Malang and its effects to the students’ interest on following English Camp program. The method used is the descriptive-correlation, that is the method by which the researcher explain the fact found and measure its correlation to the variables on the research. The result of this research shows that English Camp impact positively and extensively to increase the students’ language competence. The most prominent indication is shown from the students’ big interest on learning English. From the data analysis by Pearson Product Moment method and followed by T-test, we got a fact that English Camp could give effect up to 80% to increase the students’ learning English interest which it will be automatically improve their language competence

     ABSTRACT This research was held in SDN Gadang 1, SDN Ciptomulyo 3 and SDN Bandungrejosari 1. This research involving English Zone participants from the aforementioned three state elementary school which taken from grade 3 to the grade 6 with 560 (five hundred and sixty) of total populations. From the amount of population we decided the most representative sample using Yaname and Slovin theory with level of precision at 10%. Then, the gained sample is filtered again using the proportional allocation theory to get the expected sample. We use these theories because of the targeted population is the heterogenic community that consist of various level grade of class. To test the hypothesis of Ha: rxy ≠ 0 which means there is significant relation and effect of English Zone to the speaking ability. In analyzing the hypothesis we use the theory of correlation of Pearson Product Moment continued to the T-Test analysis and Coefficient Determination to find the amount of variable contribution percentage. The instrument of this research taken from the score gained from the questionnaire sets. The impressive results shown in this research, English Zone contribute up to 80,5% to the speaking ability improvement (the rest is determined by other variables). Key Words: English Zone, Speaking English Ability Improvemen
