No full textPodstawowym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie koncepcji transcendencji opisanej przez M.S. Archer i innych współautorów w książce Transcendence. Critical realism and God. W swych wyjaśnieniach starają się oni usunąć pewną asymetrię, która funkcjonuje w naukach społecznych przez ostatnie dwa wieki, a która przyznaje szczególną preferencję dla światopoglądu ateistycznego w badaniach naukowych, uznając go za obiektywny. M.S. Archer i współautorzy, opierając się na podejściu realistycznym, a zwłaszcza realizmie krytycznym, rozwiniętym przez Roya Bhaskara, wykazują nieuprawniony charakter takich założeń. Starają się się oni przywrócić zagadnienie Boga w racjonalnej debacie i dyskusji. Jak to zostało pokazane przez M.S. Archer założenia te wynikają z dwóch dominujących w naukach społęcznych koncepcji człowieka, dwóch redukcjonizmów, które usunęły Boga z rzeczywistości w ogóle. W swym wywodzie M.S. Archer korzyta z doświadczenia religijnego dwóch wielkich kontemplatyków Zachodu: św. Jana od Krzyża i św. Teresy od Jezusa. Koncepcja człowieka w teorii społecznej Margaret S. Archer
No full textMargaret S. Archer rozwinęła ważną koncepcję osoby ludzkiej na gruncie socjologii. Koncepcja ta w sposób wyraźny wpisuje się w jej prace nad strukturą i sprawstwem. Ukazuje ona, iż osoba ludzka jest zarazem dzieckiem i ojcem społeczeństwa, co oznacza, że z jednej strony, struktury, socjalizacja i społeczeństwo wywierają ważny wpływ na nasz rozwój. Z drugiej zaś, osoby ludzkie są aktywnymi, nie pasywnymi podmiotami działania, które za sprawą swoich licznych ludzkich sił, jak np. refleksyjność, mają zdolność do zmiany, do pozostawiania swojego śladu w społeczeństwie. Rozpoznając te cechy osoby ludzkiej, M.S. Archer podważa dwa modele człowieka promowane w dzisiejszej socjologii, tj. "człowieka nowoczesności" i "istoty społecznej", pierwszy będący zubożałym modelem człowieka, drugi natomiast jego przesocjalizowaną wersją. W niniejszym tekście przedstawiono zarys każdego z wyżej wymienionych modeli człowieka i opisano zaproponowaną przez M.S. Archer koncepcję podmiotu relacyjnego, który musi utrzymywać relacje ze wszystkimi porządkami społeczeństwa i nie może uciec od żadnego z nich
