1. polo fieristico/enogastronomico localizzato nell’area centrale intorno alla piazza per il centro di eccellenza della mozzarella di bufala campana;
2. polo residenziale con una logica di housing sociale che valorizza ed integra spazi aperti privati e pubblici;
3. polo religioso con centro di accoglienza turistica connesso agli itinerari religiosi di San Roberto Bellarmino;
Development of Borgo Appio with energies at Km 0
The research project has as its main objective the identification of a design method for efficient use of a small village of the plain through the study and analysis of the problems of progressive abandonment and depopulation of small villages in italian inner areas.
It intends to pursue the enhancement through the integration of development strategies in several sectors of socio-economic and productive activities, providing the necessary tools to overcome the functional senescence factors of rural units, in order to build a system of guidelines for the design and management of restoration and enhancement of rural villages; the main purpose of this project is also stimulating the residential rebalancing of the Italian territory in which increasingly popular is the depopulation of the inner areas because of a low economic attractiveness and a deficiency of services and infrastructure.
In 2007 for the first time in the history of the world's population living in urban areas has exceeded the rural population. In 2030 it is estimated that 61% of the world population will be concentrated in urban areas but in continents such as Europe, South and North America, this percentage will reach 83%, involving a significant decrease of quality of life. The research project is included in the studies and research that tend to reverse this process, helping to remove the factors that lead to diseconomies of scale of land management, both from an economic point of view but also the environment, favoring the protection of the Italian landscape.
The research project aims to structure a protocol that reinforces urban Governance and promotes the historical identity and introducing activities that will enable the socio-cultural and production innovation, ensuring economic self-sufficiency through sustainable development territory; the research is based, in fact, on the integration of different disciplinary fields in order to identify technological models that can provide a complete energy self-sufficiency to all the village. It will use, not only building technologies aimed at maximum energy savings, but also sustainable facilities, capable of producing all the energy needs of the village through the waste materials from agricultural and livestock activities practiced in neighboring areas to the Village and then to KM 0.
The research project identifies as study area the Campania because it represents an emblematic region to population density and the presence of territory subjected to the phenomenon, in addition to the presence of risk factors for human health, such as poor urbanization and for pollution levels occurred in both urban and rural areas.
The bad urbanization is expressed in excessive metropolitan congestion and desertification of rural areas; the latter, due to the abandonment, are subjected to pollution phenomena caused by actions arising from emergency urban waste and the dumping of waste from illegal activities.
The target area, Borgo Appio small fraction of the municipality of Grazzanise in the Province of Caserta, is inserted in the reclaimed areas in the plains of lower Lazio and Campania which, in turn, is representative of the area called Campania Felix, characterized by low building density and housing and that has been the subject of pollution from waste dumps both urban and illegal
Error-driven emergence of ownership competences: evidence from early ventures
This study explores how early-stage startup founders develop ownership competences—matching, timing, and governance—through error-driven learning processes. Using a grounded theory approach, we analyze data from 96 Italian startup founders, examining the cognitive and behavioral responses to errors during their entrepreneurial journey from founders to owners. Our findings reveal three distinct cognitive approaches to errors—avoiding, hedging, and embracing—that shape how founders engage with errors and influence their learning mechanisms. While avoidance limits competence development, hedging facilitates episodic learning, and embracing fosters systematic learning, driving iterative adaptation and innovation. By synthesizing entrepreneurial cognitive approaches with specific learning mechanisms, we uncover how errors trigger the emergence of ownership competences, transitioning founders from founders to owners. This research advances effectuation and competence-based theories by positioning learning from errors mechanisms as critical junctures

Borgo Appio
The Borgo Appio Settlement in Grazzanise_ The Borgo Appio rural
settlement in Grazzanise, near Caserta, was built starting in 1940 within
the framework of a wider colonization campaign. lt was sponsored by
the ONC, the organization of war veterans, which undertook several
similar actions in the souther region of Campania. Beyond serving as a
residential and productive settlement for new inhabitants, it had to
become a point of reference for the wider agricultural landscape sur-
174 roun ding it. The project was drafted by Mosè Tufaroli and Emanuele Filiberto Paolini, both of whom had authored other similar interventions
in the previous years, and was expected to be completed by 1941, but
the outbreak ofWorld War 11 left many parts incomplete. The settlement,
which was originally intended to host 500 residents, was conceived as
a small, selfsufficient rural community, comprising housing, public buildings
and a chu rch. Ali buildings, following the guidelines of autarchie
building practices ofthe time, are designed using a simple architectural
language inspired by Mediterranean villages, using locai materials and
reducing the use of high-cost techniques such as steel or reinforced
concrete construction. The urban layout is linear and well-balanced,
concentrating ali public buildings on the centrai square and locating residential
areas in direct connection with the agricultural land. After construction
halted in 1941 the settlement was damaged during the war
and suffered further alterations in the following decades, leading up to
its current state of disrepair. The regeneration project born from the idea
to recover the remains of Borgo Appio through an hypothesis of completion
and expansion of the residential part. For the pre-existing, the project
aims to a volumetrie reconstruction of the demolished parts and a
symbolic recovery of the representative buildings that surround the
square. The western part, according to the project of '39, is used as part
of residential building with single houses aggregated together. The settlement
pattern is of the plate type elevated from the ground, corroded
and pierced by numerous courts, both public and private, in order to
read , through a series of perforation, the different layers thai make up
the complexity of the structure
Inviting Strangers to get the gist of Radical Innovation: the Diversity Dilemma
This paper is about the way companies from a variety of industries (called strangers) come to create and develop innovation together, with the aim of accomplishing the holy-grail: a certain degree of radicalness in order to make money out of it, adapt the environment and increase the chances of surviving. On the basis of the configurations stemming from the assessment concerning the knowlegde about the likelihoods of accomplish a certain innovation, the knowledge about the nature of the outcomes, and the time frames, a theoretical model has been advanced. Two dimensions have been contrasted: the non-spatial proximity characteristics (knowledge base) of the partners involved into the collaboration setting, and the collaboration strategy in terms of the number of partners involved. The nature of the innovation accomplished was meant ot be incremental or radical in terms of its antecedents (nature of knowledge required) and consequences (impact). A typology of innovation resulted from the model: incremental^2 innovation (risky context), incremental-s1 x radical-s2 innovation (uncertain context), radical-s1 x incremental-s2 innovation (fuzzy context), radical^2 innovation (ignorance context). The framework contributes to understanding the
primary and controversial role of diversity in order to make managers aware of the profound implications that such a strategic setting will bring when collaborations are to be planned

Customer-driven codevelopment: a fast-track to radical innovation in b2b
As the industrial and economic world is becoming ever more complex, undertaking virtuous invention-innovation capabilities seems to be the only competitive strategy to accomplish in order to adapt, profit and survive. The rising of complexity poses serious challenges to every company in this system so that they are called to shift towards more collaborative competitive strategies. In this vein, collaborative creation and development among a spectrum of heterogeneous industrial partners are investigated in this paper, as they represent the holy grail to accomplish radical inventions/innovations. A probabilistic theoretical model is proposed according to two dimensions: Partner Proximity (in terms of closeness to the company’s collaborating ecosystem) and Kind of Co-development (whether Focal company-driven or Customer-driven); different paths to Radical Innovation emerge, each one with its peculiar implications
