    August 7, 2008Anny Landsberger, née Terkel, was born on 1923 in Vienna, Austria. She and her mother immigrated via the Netherlands to the United States in 1939. Her father was not able to leave, as he was born in Romania and the US quota-system made it impossible for him to immigrate. They settled in New Jersey, where Anny Landsberger finished her education in several colleges and met her husband, Kurt (AHC 1992). She and her husband used their life-savings to start a successful business manufacturing laboratory supplies and equipments for the elderly. They funded the Landsberger Holocaust Collections at the Verona and Pequannock Public Libraries in New Jersey.Austrian Heritage Collectio
