Synchronization Overhead in SOC Compressed Test

    No full text
Test data compression is an enabling technology for low-cost test. Compression schemes however, require communication between the system under test and the automated test equipment. This communication, referred to in this paper as synchronization overhead, may hinder the effective deployment of this new test technology for core-based systems-on-a-chip. This paper analyzes the sources of synchronization overhead and discusses the different trade-offs, such as area overhead, test time and automatic test equipment extensions. A novel scalable and programmable on-chip distribution architecture is proposed, which addresses the synchronization overhead problem and facilitates the use of low cost testers for manufacturing test. The design of the proposed architecture is introduced in a generic framework, and the implementation issues (including the test controller and test set preparation) have been considered for a particular case

This book does for the legal profession in England what George Ade's fables do more broadly. These are enjoyable tales with pleasing caricatures. All the actors are humans. A funny appendix follows The Story of an Ancient Line through twelve generations. The book shows what fable meant earlier in this century. This is a hardbound book (hard cover)This book has a dust jacket (book cover)O (Theo Mathew

Corporate and Public Real Estate managament

    No full text
In this book chapter Theo van der Voordt and Monique Arkesteijn discuss the difference between corporate and public real estate management i.e. the perspective of the end users, and real estate management i.e. the perspective of investors and developers. Furthermore an overview is presented of the legacy of the (C)REM section of the Department of Management in the Built Environment of the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. The chapter discusses various research themes and introduces key topics such as how to create the best possible fit between supply and demand, adding value through corporate and public real estate, managing of university campuses, workplace management, adaptive reuse as a means to cope with (structural) vacancy, preference modeling and willingness-to-pay, and Corporations & Cities. These topics have been elaborated in other chapters of “Dear is Durable”, a Liber Amicorum for prof. Hans de Jonge that was offered to him due to his farewell as professor of Real Estate Management and Development A pdf of this book can be downloaded from the TU Delft research repository: http://resolver.tudelft.nl/uuid:02789dc2-eb6f-41a7-9d64-21212c2a3da8 .Real Estate Managemen

Theo Angelopoulos and the Cinema of Contemplation

Includes image: 'landscape with three figures', 1935. I dedicate this essay to Theo Angelopoulos' wife Phoebe Economopoulou and their daughters, Anna, Eleni and KaterinaAbstractI am honored to be here at the University of Sydney for this, the 11th Biennial Conference of the Modern Greek Studies Association of Australia and New Zealand. It was last Fall that I was invited to speak on the cinema of Theo Angelopoulos since I have known him and written about his films for over thirty five years. But the invitation was before this renowned Greek filmmaker died after being accidently run over by a motorcyclist on the set of his latest film The Other Sea January 24th of this year, 2012. I wish to state up front, what a hard moment this was and is, not only for the Angelopoulos family and for Greek cinema, but for those fans including myself all over the world who appreciate the kind of distinctively individually crafted cinema that Theo’s films represent. I am speaking personally also because I was actually on the set of this film with Theo during the first week of January, two weeks before his death.I wish to begin with three quotes that I feel provide a framework for Theo, as we shall call him here, and his cinema of contemplation that I wish to discuss

Theo Angelopoulos’ Unfinished Odyssey: The Other Sea

    No full text
This afterword offers the first critical account of Theo Angelopoulos' final, unfinished film, The Other Sea, describing it as the capstone to a long career and arguing that it would have synthesised many of the lifelong concerns and stylistic singularities that defined Angelopoulos' modernist cinema. The Other Sea was to be Angelopoulos' concluding film for the trilogy that began with The Weeping Meadow (2003) and continued with The Dust of Time (2008), but production stopped due to Angelopoulos' untimely death. Here the author shares both the nature of this unfinished odyssey and his personal experience with this tragically interrupted project. He first emphasises the importance of ‘unfinished’ and ‘interrupted’ to Angelopoulos' filmmaking before discussing The Other Sea's screenplay and production. He concludes by asking whether The Other Sea will be completed as a film.</p

Accepted manuscriptReal Estate Managemen

Number of respondents: 53 Expected number of respondents: 50 Response rate: 106.0% Launch date: 19 May 2006 Close date: 28 May 2006The IRI-Scotland project (http://www.iriscotland.lib.ed.ac.uk/) carried out a series of online questionnaires in 2006 to assess the attitudes towards open access and institutional repositories within the higher education community in Scotland. In total, three questionnaires were targeted at different stakeholder groups within the community - academic authors, technical staff responsible for repository development, and senior management from academic libraries. For logistical reasons the first survey was undertaken during two different time periods and was aimed at academic authors from the following higher education institutions in Scotland; Abertay University, Dundee University , Edinburgh College of Art, Edinburgh University, Glasgow University, Glasgow Caledonian, Heriot Watt University, Robert Gordon University, St Andrews University, Stirling University, Strathclyde University, University of Aberdeen, University of Dundee, and University of Paisley. Library or Information services staff arranged for an email to be sent to as many research staff as possible from the target community. We present here anonymous data from the two parts of the academic author survey in comma separated value format.JISC Digital Repositories Programme 2005 - 200
