For this, the school space should provide ample learning conditions. The research analyzes the pedagogical methods idealized by Rudolf Steiner and Maria Montessori, who challenged not only the way of educating but also the space in which it is educated, establishing a relation between pedagogy and architecture. The purpose of this work is to develop a study about school architecture as a transforming educational environment. The aim of this study is to propose an architecture based on the alternative elements proposed in the Waldorf and Montessori pedagogies, so that it can be applied in public schools of traditional teaching, seeking to establish the physical environment as a complement to Brazilian education. To understand the relevance of the educational institution in child life, was opted for a bibliographic review and analysis of correlates. Finally, the article results in guidelines for the implantation of an educational institution with this mixed architecture, implanted more humanized elements, which conveys the perception of a familiar, welcoming and safe environment where children are free to play, learn and socialize, in addition to strengthening the relationship with nature, promoting a healthy and natural development.

The CP-conserving triple-gauge-boson couplings, g Z 1 , κ γ , λ γ , g Z 5 , κZ and λ Z are measured using hadronic and semi-leptonic W-pair events selected in 629 pb -1 of data collected at LEP with the L3 detector at centre-of-mass energies between 189 and 209 GeV. The results are combined with previous L3 measurements based on data collected at lower centre-of-mass energies and with the results from single-W production and from events with a single-photon and missing energy. Imposing the constraints κZ = g Z 1 - tan 2 θW(κ γ - 1) and λZ = λ γ , we obtain for the C and P conserving couplings the results: g Z 1 = 0.966 ± 0.033(stat) ± 0.015(syst), κ γ = 1.013 ± 0.066(stat) ± 0.026(syst), λ γ =-0.021 ±0.035(stat) ±0.017(syst).Fil: Achard, P.. Atslēgvārdi: kultūras krīze, masifikācija, masu cilvēks, reliģija, nihilisms, tehnoloģijas, Pauls Jurevičs, Teodors Celms, Konstantīns Raudive, Pauls Dāle, Zenta Mauriņa, Pēteris Zālīte, Osvalds Špenglers, Hosē Ortega i Gasets, Frīdrihs Vilhelms NīčeIn the Bachelor thesis the author deals with latvian thinkers Pauls Jurevics, Teodors Celms, Konstantins Raudive, Pauls Dale, Zenta Maurina and Peteris Zalite view to crisis as culture phenomenon. Their thoughts of Europe cultural crisis are analyzed. In the work philosophical works and ideas, which have been important for latvian authors in the studies of subject, are contemplated, including works of Oswald Spengler, Jose Ortega y Gasset and Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche. Both, latvians and european philosophers declare that massification in different social life fields and mass people, who is not just 20th century phenomenon and has existed before, are one of more visible shapes how to determine Europe cultural crisis. The authors mentioned above also think that religion and technological progress influence to human have an important role in cultural crisis. Keywords: cultural crisis, massification, mass people, religion, nihilism, technology, Pauls Jurevics, Teodors Celms, Konstantins Raudive, Pauls Dale, Zenta Maurina, Peteris Zalite, Oswald Spengler, Jose Ortega y Gasset, Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsch

    No full text
The properties of a cylindrical 100 100 LaBr3:Ce scintillator (Brillance 380) were investigated. The energy resolution at g-ray energy of 662 keV was measured to be smaller than 3% and the intrinsic time resolution was found to be E230 ps. Two different aspects were investigated. The first is the detailed study of the crystal self-activity, emitting a and b particles and g-rays, by measuring coincidences with g-rays in HPGe, BGO and BaF2 detectors. In particular, the coincidence with an HPGe detector allowed to isolate clearly the different contributions from 227Ac (chemical homologue of lanthanum) and its daughter nuclei down to the stable 207Pb. The second aspect is the determination of the efficiency for g-ray detection, measured at 1MeV and simulated using GEANT4 up to 15MeV as a function of the detector size

Understanding a theory of public participation in park planning for Nunavut, Canada

    No full text
This thesis is an investigation of the Nunavut Parks participatory planning process, examining the participation of local communities in the planning process used by the Government of Nunavut. Local participation in the planning process is essential for successful socio-economic and political development of the new land-claim settled territory. After a review of literature on theoretical planning processes, interviews and internal Nunavut Parks documents were collected and analyzed using grounded theory methods to reveal the genuine processes of community participation. The results were merged comparatively, creating a theory of how practitioners can help the Nunavummiut public to be more self-reliant in park planning. The five features of this theory find that public participation process should have a holistic framework, a diverse and active public, a grassroots process, transformational experiences, and developmental goals. This research advocates that practitioners incorporate these features into practice to help communities become more self-reliant and politically active

Msc. Marcela Gomes de Albuquerque Zalite. The segregation of the man in the working environment comes from the Industrial Revolution, occurred in the 18th century, where the insertion of new technologies interfered in the humanization in the work environment. From that, several changes reorganized the relations of the man and the corporate environment. The studies to elaborate work spaces more humanized received relevance, and had positive effects. Currently, there is an increasement of the companies that seek the architecture as strategy to create more humanized spaces, which aims to promote well-being and life quality to the corporate environment, in order to obtain positive outcomes in the performance and productivity by the employees. However, how and what are the means by which the architecture can induce and collaborate with the life quality and performance in the work? In this sense the present article has as objective investigate and to present some of the ways and strategies in which the architecture can contribute to the life quality and well-being in the corporative environment. In addition, it was collected which personalized environment must be inserted in the work environment in order to contribute to the life quality and well-being. The results are presented through project recommendations and presentation of personalized corporative environments of existent projects. Thus, it was concluded that architecture is a relevant aspect to contribute to the conception of the life quality and well-being in the work environment, however, to project corporative spaces connected to life quality require an individual treatment, following the needs of each type of work, so then, it aggregates solutions that feat the majority of the user needs.

TERRITORIAL MARKETING IN THE BALTIC SEA REGION PORT CITIES

    No full text
Today in the Baltic Sea region, territorial marketing plays a substantial role both for tourist attraction and local young families, a quality workforce and students’ retention to the region, which is not easy due to the wide scope of work and travel opportunities in the European Union Member States. Territorial marketing aims to increase the prestige of a territory by attracting local and foreign subjects to the territory by creating an expressive image, maximal use of the territory’s natural, material and technical as well as financial, labour and social resources. The Baltic Sea region countries have a lot in common: historical heritage of Soviet Union influence until 1991, which has left its impact both on their architecture, city planning and on peoples’ mentality; joining the European Union in 2004 and since then struggling with common market side effects that force these countries to look for new ways to sustain their regional competitiveness. The current research focuses on exploring the experience of territorial marketing use in four Baltic Sea region port cities: Parnu (Estonia), Ventspils (Latvia), Klaipeda (Lithuania) and Szczecin (Poland). The research aimed to compare the territorial marketing approaches used in the four Baltic Sea region port cities and specifics of brand positioning for the cities. In the research work, desk study and the comparative method were applied to aggregate and interpret secondary data on the four cities’ development trends. Analysis and synthesis methods were applied to investigate the elements of territorial marketing. </jats:p

    No full text
The absolute muon flux between 20 and 3000 GeV is measured with the L3 magnetic muon spectrometer for zenith angles ranging from 0◦ to 58◦. Due to the large exposure of about 150 m2 sr d, and the excellent momentum resolution of the L3 muon chambers, a precision of 2.3% at 150 GeV in the vertical direction is achieved. The ratio of positive to negative muons is studied between 20 and 500 GeV, and the average vertical muon charge ratio is found to be 1.285 ± 0.003(stat.) ± 0.019(syst.).Fil: Achard, P..
