Reptadeonella leilae Almeida, Souza, Sanner & Vieira 2015
Reptadeonella leilae Almeida, Souza, Sanner & Vieira, 2015 (Figs. 36–37) Reptadeonella leilae Almeida, Souza, Sanner & Vieira, 2015c: 362, figs. 33–36, 42 (cum syn.). Material examined. UFBA 1174, Camamu Bay, 13°53’S, 38°59’W, 18–20 m, coll. October 2012 (on sponge Halichondria sp.). Remarks. Reptadeonella leilae is characterized by unilaminar encrusting colonies (Fig. 36), autozooids with a tubular peristome, a circular spiramen and no avicularia (Fig. 37) (Almeida et al. 2015c). The species grows on small substrata such as calcareous nodules (Almeida et al. 2015c). Other Reptadeonella species are frequently found encrusting rocks, other bryozoans, calcareous nodules and algae, corals and shells (e.g., Marcus 1939; Soule 1961; Winston 1982b; Hayward & Ryland 1999; Tilbrook et al. 2001; Tilbrook 2006; Winston & Vieira 2013; Almeida et al. 2015c). Reptadeonella leilae was found attached to the smooth-textured sponge Halichondria sp., representing the first record of an association with sponges in the genus. Distribution. Atlantic: endemic to Brazil (Bahia) (Almeida et al. 2015c).Published as part of Almeida, Ana C. S., Souza, Facelucia B. C., Menegola, Carla & Vieira, Leandro M., 2017, Diversity of marine bryozoans inhabiting demosponges in northeastern Brazil, pp. 281-323 in Zootaxa 4290 (2) on page 296, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4290.2.3, http://zenodo.org/record/89271

Pseudoryssomus brulei Almeida & Santos, 2014, sp. nov.
Pseudoryssomus brulei sp. nov. (Fig. 8) Description of holotype (male). Length 3.73, width 2.82 mm. Form elongate oval, widest at middle of elytra, not flattened dorsoventrally (Fig. 8 C). General color yellowish red, thorax and abdomen dark brown medially (Fig. 8 A). Outline of pronotum and elytron discontinuous. Pronotum yellowish red, with a basal black spot, translucent at apex; finely, densely punctured; pubescence of semidecumbent yellowish hairs (Fig. 8 D). Elytra yellowish red, with a large black sutural spot, not reaching the humeral callus, narrowed in the middle, irregularly widening towards the apex, not reaching elytral margin; each elytron with irregularly oval lateral spot on the posterior half. Elytral punctures intermixed coarse and fine, dense, slightly larger than on pronotum and sparse in the discal area. Antenna and mouthparts brownish yellow, hypomera and epipleura yellow, legs brownish yellow. Metaventrite finely, sparsely punctured medially and anteriorly; coarsely, densely punctured laterally and posteriorly with punctures large, often confluent (Fig. 8 B). Abdominal ventrites coarsely punctured, punctures separated by about a diameter or less, punctures becoming coarser laterally. First abdominal ventrite with postcoxal line complete, extending beyond middle of first ventrite; precoxal area coarsely punctured on base of cavity (Fig. 8 E). Genitalia simple; basal lobe shorter than paramere, lateral margin slightly thickened, apex bluntly pointed; paramere slightly curved in lateral view, nearly parallel-sized (Fig. 8 G, H); sipho very sinuous at apex (Fig. 8 F). Female. Genitalia with genital plates triangular, elongate, styli with setae (Fig. 8 I); spermatheca unobserved. Etymology. This species is named in honor of Dr. Stéphane Brûlé, one of the most enthusiastic members of the French Guiana project. Discussion. The elytral color pattern is distinctive for Pseudoryssomus brulei sp. nov. Although somewhat similar to P. crucifer sp. nov. and P. triangulus sp. nov., the spots are differently shaped and the male genitalia with sipho sinuous at apex. Nowe spojrzenie na planowanie architektury mieszkaniowej w afryce subsaharyjskiej
The author shares his reflections on state of art in housing and urban planning, deficiencies, expectations and possibilities in the Sahel region of Africa. He notices, that the housing problem in Africa is one of the challenges, which should be solved in order to recover life dignity of African people and secure their rights to traditional family life in acceptable conditions. The paper describes the studies on the typical dispersed urban structures and the need to foster this type of settlement structure and proposals of introduction of new on light steel frame housing system in the area of Sahel, combining the traditional way of building houses with modern technology. The particularly analysed case, is the housing problem in the Republic of Chad. The author presents the basic discussion on this topic and his architectural proposals. Unfortunately, the gap between the needs and the financial feasibility of housing construction in this area, makes this project already at the starting point extremely difficult to be realized without external subventions.
Oryssomus paschoali Almeida & Santos, 2014, sp. nov.
Oryssomus paschoali sp. nov. (Fig. 5) Description of holotype (female). Length 3.85, width 2.59 mm. Form elongate oval, widest at middle of elytra, flattened dorsoventrally (Fig. 5 C). General color black, middle of thorax and abdomen dark brown. Outline of pronotum and elytron discontinuous. Antenna, mouthparts, hypomera, epipleura and legs yellowish brown. Clypeus and frons joined at abrupt angle. Pronotum black with yellowish brown triangular spots, causing the black markings to appear w-shaped; finely, densely punctured, punctures uniform in size; pubescence of semidecumbent yellowish hairs (Fig. 5 D). Elytra black with a narrow yellowish brown border on the posterior 1 / 3 of elytra (Fig. 5 A). Elytral punctures coarse, dense, slightly larger than on pronotum and similarly dense, uniform in size. Metaventrite finely, sparsely punctured medially and anteriorly; coarsely, densely punctured laterally and posteriorly with punctures large, often confluent (Fig. 5 B); each puncture with long, yellow, decumbent seta. Abdominal ventrites coarsely punctured, punctures separated by about twice a diameter, punctures becoming coarser laterally and on first ventrite. First abdominal ventrite with postcoxal line extending beyond middle of first ventrite (Fig. 5 E). Genitalia with genital plates triangular, elongate, styli with setae; spermatheca elongate, slender at apex (Fig. 5 F). Male. Unknown. Etymology. This species is named in honor of the dedicated entomologist, Paschoal Coelho Grossi. Discussion. Oryssomus paschoali sp. nov. differs from other species in the genus by the elytral and pronotal color. The flattened body shape and the sides almost parallel are as in Neoryssomus germainii and N. variabilis, but these differ in color pattern, number of antennomeres and body size.
