    Shallots are one of the unsubstituted agricultural commodities. The author is drawn to the onion commodity because of the many public complaints related to fluctuations in the price of shallots and their limited availability, especially on religious holidays and year-end. In addition, the availability of production factors is also often complained by farmers. Gunung Alip District is one of the districts that has the largest onion production in Tanggamus District, but its productivity is lower than that in other districts. The purpose of this study was to analyze agricultural income and technical efficiency of shallot farming in third season in Gunung Alip district, Tanggamus district. Data collection was carried out from March to April 2019. The research location was in Gunung Alip Subdistrict with the consideration that Gunung Alip Subdistrict is the area that has the largest area of harvest and onion production in Tanggamus Regency. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Sampling is done by census method because all populations are sampled. The results stated that the onion farming was technically efficient. Income from cash costs and total costs obtained by farmers is IDR65,150,679.27 and IDR56,773,414.27 per hectare with R/C over cash costs 2.60 and R/C over total costs 2.16.Key words: income, technical efficiency, shallots farmin

    ALIP: Adaptive language-image pre-training with synthetic caption

    Contrastive Language-Image Pre-training (CLIP) has significantly boosted the performance of various vision-language tasks by scaling up the dataset with image-text pairs collected from the web. However, the presence of intrinsic noise and unmatched image-text pairs in web data can potentially affect the performance of representation learning. To address this issue, we first utilize the OFA model to generate synthetic captions that focus on the image content. The generated captions contain complementary information that is beneficial for pre-training. Then, we propose an Adaptive Language-Image Pre-training (ALIP), a bi-path model that integrates supervision from both raw text and synthetic caption. As the core components of ALIP, the Language Consistency Gate (LCG) and Description Consistency Gate (DCG) dynamically adjust the weights of samples and image-text/caption pairs during the training process. Meanwhile, the adaptive contrastive loss can effectively reduce the impact of noise data and enhances the efficiency of pre-training data. We validate ALIP with experiments on different scales of models and pre-training datasets. Experiments results show that ALIP achieves state-of-the-art performance on multiple downstream tasks including zero-shot image-text retrieval and linear probe.     DIALEKTIKA AGAMA DAN BUDAYA DALAM RITUS GAWE ALIP MASYARAKAT SASAK

    Masyarakat Sasak telah membangun dialektika antara agama dan budayanya sejak awal keberadaan manusianya, dimana dalam proses dialektika saling mempengaruhi antara agama dan budaya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Sasak. Agama Islam merupakan agama mayoritas di masyarakat Sasak, namun budayanya juga masih sangat kuat dan berpengaruh dalam kehidupannya, sebagaimana ritus-ritusnya terbangun dari kesadaran kolektif mengenai sistem kekerabatan, agama dan budaya yang saling berinteraksi. Agama Islam memberikan panduan dan aturan dalam menjalankan ritus-ritus yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Sasak, seperti halnya ritus Gawe Alip yang dilaksanakan setiap 8 (delapan) tahun sekali (se-windu), pernikahan, pemakaman, dan upacara adat lainnya. Metodologi penelitian yang yang digunakan Peneliti, ialah metode kualitatif, dan tujuan penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahaman secara komprehensif tentang ritus Gawe Alip, hubungannya dengan agama Islam, makna serta pengaruhnya bagi masyarakat Sasak, dan tantangan yang dihadapi dalam menjaga kelestariannya. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data etnografi Sasak baik berasal dari buku, observasi dan hasil wawancara, selanjutnya pendekatan dan prosedur analisis menggunakan Interpretif C. Geertz, guna untuk menemukan makna yang ada di balik ritus Gawe Alip masyarakat Sasak adalah bagaimana sesungguhnya orang Sasak mengidealkan sebuah posisi penting dalam kehidupan di muka bumi ini, yakni posisi pusat/tengah (center). Posisi yang menyimbolkan jati diri manusia Sasak yang sudah bertransformasi batin (konsep hidup orang Sasak dalam ritus). Di sini, yang mendasari konsep hidup orang Sasak adalah kepercayaan agama Islam (yang bertolak dari keyakinan transendental itu, si epyang ita / neneq kaji) untuk mengadakan sakralisasi realitas.     Machine Annotation for Digital Imagery of Historical Materials Using the ALIP System

    Manual annotating digital imagery of historical materials is a labor-intensive task for many historians. In this paper, we introduce the application of the ALIP (Automatic Linguistic Indexing of Pictures) system, developed at The Pennsylvania State University, to the problem of machine assisted annotation of these images. The ALIP system learns the expertise of a human annotator from a small collection of representative images. The learned knowledge about the domain-specific concepts is stored as a dictionary of statistical models in a computer-based knowledge base. When a new image is presented to ALIP, the system computes the statistical likelihood of the image resembling each of the learned statistical models and the best few are further studied for the purpose of annotating the image with keywords. The Penn State research team applied their ALIP system to the EMPEROR images base and metadata created by C.-c. Chen. Promising results have been obtained

    The annular linear induction electromagnetic pump (ALIP) with the flowrate of 900 L/min and the developed pressure of 4 bar has been designed by electric equivalent circuit analysis. It was fabricated by the consideration of materials compatible to the sodium environment of high temperature. Basic characteristic test of the ALIP was carried out in advance for its installation to the integral effect TEst Loop for safety simuLation and Assessment (STELLA) loop to confirm the sodium-thermo-hydraulic components. The test showed that the magnetic field had been linearly increased when the input current was increased, where input current and voltage had represented linear relation each other. The generated electromagnetic force was proportionate to the square of the applied current. The velocity of the aluminium pipe was proportionally increased when the input current was increased. It was verified that the basic characteristic of the ALIP showed a good accordance with the theoretical calculation

    Reliability and validity of the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS - Short form) and the Adolescent Leisure Interest Profile (ALIP)

    This study aimed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Leisure Satisfaction Scale (LSS - short form) and the Adolescent Leisure Interest Profile (ALIP). The LSS and the ALIP are instruments that occupational therapists can use to evaluate the leisure activities that clients enjoy. Evaluation of leisure interest and participation will assist in creating goals for therapy to maximize a client's ability to participate in leisure activities. This study examined the test-retest reliability and concurrent validity of the LSS and the ALIP using a sample of 37 adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 with no known impairments. The assessments were administered individually or in small groups 7 to 17 days apart. Cronbach's alpha was used to determine the internal consistency. Pearson product moment correlations were calculated to examine the test-retest reliability of the 60 subscales and the six question totals of the ALIP, as well as for the 6 subscales and total score of the LSS. Concurrent validity was evaluated between the 'How often?' question of the ALIP and the LSS (short form). Based on the study results, the ALIP and the LSS seem to have good test-retest reliability levels when used with adolescents with no known physical or mental impairments. The concurrent validity between the two instruments was not supported, with many of the scores indicating only weak or no association to each of the subscales, suggesting that the assessments differ in some fundamental way. However, the evidence of some relationships between subscales may indicate some areas where the ALIP and the LSS are similar
