No full textPenelitian ini membahas struktur cerita dan aspek psikologi tokoh utama yang terdapat di dalam novel Rini karya Yoseph Iskandar. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) tema, (2) fakta carita, (3) sarana carita, dan (4) psikologi tokoh utama yang terdapat dalam novél Rini karya Yoseph Iskandar. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitis dengan teknik studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) tema dalam novel Rini ini adalah kehidupan dan takdir mengenai jodoh, kematian, dan kebahagiaan. (2) fakta cerita yang terdapat dalam novel Rini terbagi menjadi alur, latar, dan pelaku; alur cerita dibagun oleh 12 episode dengan alur maju; pelaku dibagi menjadi pelaku utama dan pelaku tambahan, terdapat tiga pelaku utama dan 13 pelaku tambahan; latar dalam cerita pun terbagi menjadi tiga, dengan 9 latar tempat, 8 latar waktu, dan latar sosial mengenai bahasa serta lingkungan, (3) sarana sastra yang terdapat dalam novel Rini terbagi menjadi judul, sudut pandang, dan gaya bahasa; judul Rini menggambarkan isi cerita; sudut pandang yang digunakan oleh penulis merupakan sudut pandang orang pertama “saya” sebagai pelaku utama; gaya bahasa yang ditemukan di antaranya simile, personifikasi, hiperbola, pleonasme, eufimisme, metafora, dan litotes, (4) psikologi kepribadian tokoh utama yang terdapat dalan novel Rini mencakup 3 macam karakteristik psikologi dalam diri manusia di antaranya id, ego, superego. This study discusses the structure of the story and the psychological aspects of the main character in the novel Rini by Yoseph Iskandar. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the theme, (2) the facts of the story, (3) the means of the story, and (4) the psychology of the main character in Yoseph Iskandar's novel Rini. The method used is descriptive analytical with literature study technique. The results show that (1) the theme in Rini's novel is life and destiny regarding mate, death, and happiness. (2) the facts of the story contained in Rini's novel are divided into plot, setting, and actors; the storyline is built by 12 episodes with a forward plot; actors are divided into main actors and additional actors, there are three main actors and 13 additional actors; The setting in the story is also divided into three, with 9 place settings, 8 time settings, and social settings regarding language and environment, (3) the literary tools contained in Rini's novel are divided into titles, points of view, and language styles; Rini's title describes the content of the story; the point of view used by the author is the first person point of view “me” as the main actor; The language styles found include simile, personification, hyperbole, pleonasm, euphemism, metaphor, and litotes, (4) personality psychology of the main character in Rini's novel includes 3 kinds of psychological characteristics in humans including id, ego, and superego

No full textThe article is aimed at analyzing the ideas expressed in an article written in Hebrew by Yoseph Edrey that analyses some critical issues of the judicial review with reference to the Israeli budget and tax laws.
The starting point of Edrey’s view is that between tax laws and the budget law there is a clear connection. In a democratic society, without the provision of Public Goods and Services (PGS) there is no need for a tax.
Indeed, in the literature on public finance of Anglo-Saxon countries, there is an increasingly widespread belief that Governments deliberately manipulate budget data and adopt other measures to pursue certain results in their political agenda.
Although Edrey’s article itself has a strong connection with the legal environment of the State of Israel, the Author’s insights are of great interest in a comparative perspective, being oriented at investigating more in general the principles of tax law and the justification of the taxing power. The Author ponts that adherence to liberal theories has strongly influenced Edrey's view regarding the social, political and economic environment of public finance.
In the author's view, Edrey’s positions seems to be very close to the theories on the justification of the tax based on the so-called «benefit principle».
Conversely, the author states that in the Italian tax system taxes based on non-fiscal purposes are still justified in the light of the «ability to pay» principle, comparing article 53 of the Constitution with other articles to be reasonably balanced in order to ensure their protection. Choosing the «ability to pay principle» by article 53, the Italian Constitution has set aside the «benefit principle».
In conclusion, the author agrees with Professor Edrey when he says that in our role of jurists we need to overcome the tradeoff between «justice» and «economic efficiency» (which is the common approach accepted in the world of public finance) in order to bridge conflicting perceptions, mainly between social philosophy and economic efficiency

No full textPenelitian ini membahas mengenai struktur unsur cerita drama, struktur naskah, dan nilai Pendidikan karakter pada naskah purna drama “Rawayan ti Pajajaran” karya Yoseph Iskandar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui struktur unsur cerita, struktur naskah, dan nilai pendidikan karakter. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik studi pustaka. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis objek penelitian yaitu menggunakan pendekatan struktur drama dari beberapa ahli, konsep unsur cerita Robert Stanton dan nilai pendidikan karakter Kemendiknas. Struktur unsur cerita naskah purna drama “Rawayan ti pajajaran” lengkap, dan unsur pembangun seperti tema, fakta cerita, dan sarana cerita menjadii satu struktur yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengaran dan saling melengkapi. Dari hasil analisis, tema dari naskah ini yaitu tema sosial. Alur yang dipakai adalah alur maju. Struktur naskah drama yang baik adalah struktur yang mempunyai delapan unsur yaitu prolog, dialog, babak, adegan/scene, kramagung, solilokui/monolog, aside, dan epilog. Dari objek yang diteliti, struktur naskah drama yang diketahui ada lima, yaitu prolog, dialog, adegan, kramagung, solilokui. Dalam naskah purna drama “Rawayan ti Pajajaran” terdapat nilai pendidikan karakter.
This study discusses the structure of the drama story elements, the structure of the script, and the value of character education in the post-drama script "Rawayan ti Pajajaran" by Yoseph Iskandar. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure of the story elements, the structure of the script, and the value of character education. The method used is descriptive qualitative method with literature study technique. The theory used to analyze the object of research is using a drama structure approach from several experts, the concept of Robert Stanton's story elements and the character education value of the Ministry of National Education. The structure of the story elements of the post-drama script "Rawayan ti Pajajaran" is complete, and the building elements such as themes, story facts, and story tools form a structure that the author wants to convey and complement each other. From the results of the analysis, the theme of this manuscript is a social theme. The flow used is the forward flow. A good drama script structure is a structure that has eight elements, namely prologue, dialogue, act, scene/scene, kramagung, soliloquy/monologue, aside, and epilogue. From the objects studied, there are five known structures of drama scripts, namely prologue, dialogue, scene, kramagung, soliloquy. In the post-drama script "Rawayan ti Pajajaran" there is the value of character education
Mechanical stretch influence on lifetime of dielectric elastomer films
No full textFilm pre-stretching is a widely adopted solution to improve dielectric strength of the DEA systems. However, to date, long term reliability of this solution has not been investigated. In this work it is explored how the dielectric elastomer lifetime is affected by film pre-stretching. The dielectric loss of soft polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films is studied for different stretch ratios by measuring tanδ. Additionally, time-to-breakdown was measured at DC electric stress for different stretch ratios. For this purpose, accelerated life test (ALT) were performed. The results obtained are compared with non-pre-stretched samples. This study suggests that no additional dielectric losses are caused by film stretching up to 80% of original dimensions.DC systems, Energy conversion & Storag

An experimental and numerical approach to understand the effect of the IPMC composition on its sensing and energy harvesting behavior
No full textIonic Polymer Metal Composite (IPMC) is an Electo-Active Polymer (EAP) that is well-known for its actuation and sensing behavior. It has been shown that in charge sensing mode an IPMC generates one order of magnitude larger current as compared to piezoelectric materials. However the voltage generated is on the order of couple millivolts, making it less attractive as a sensor and energy harvester. Previous numerical work by the author, demonstrated that increasing the ionic concentration of the ionomer will increase the current and voltage generated by an IPMC. Conversely, the previous study showed that the electrode composition and architecture had minimal effects. This paper will present an experimental investigation of the effect of changing the composition of the ionomer, the membrane thickness, and electrode architecture on the sensing and energy harvesting behavior.
